The chimichurri was good, although a tad oily and messy compared to last time. It's a little pricey for the size of the empañadas, but they are filling, so it's OK. The young man who works behind the counter is super chill and nice. It's also a good place to go if you missed the ferry and have to wait for the next boat -- you can see the ferry lanes from the park in front of the eatery! Nice little empanadas place in Kingston. We went here to spend a little bit of time before we are off to the ferry. This place is conveniently located right by the ferry terminal, so it is a nice place to grab a quick bite. We tried the 3 for $12 empanadas: beef, creamed corn, and apple. It came with chimichurri sauce which is flavorful but not salty or sour, so it complements well with both savory and sweet empanadas. I liked the beef one a lot, with generous amounts of meat. The creamed corn is okay, but a bit more filling. The apple is quite interesting as empanadas I am used to are mostly savory, but this is a nice take for a dessert empanada. We also got the yerba mate tea which they only charged $2 instead of the $3 listed in the fridge, which was a welcome surprise. The yerba mate is definitely not the canned yerba mate drinks from the grocery store, but rather closer to the real deal. Of course, if you have lots of liquid, the drink is watered down, as my visit to Buenos Aires with the real mate experience is very concentrated and you are caffeinated with just a few sips. This was amazing! After reading Yelp reviews, we decided to stop by Argensol on our way to Sequim for the weekend. A little tricky to find via car from the ferry terminal, but worth it. We tried cream corn, apple, spinach and cheese, and breakfast empanadas. We also got chimichurri fries, choripan sandwich, and alfajores. Everything was delicious. Our picky vegetarian was very happy to have several options and LOVED the apple empanada. The biggest hit was the alfajores. We loved them so much we stopped by on the way back to get more. The chimichurri sauce is delish, and the serving size for the fries was large, even for three people. There is no inside seating and only a few small tables outside, but there are picnic tables in the park across the street. Service was friendly and prompt. We randomly spotted this place while waiting for the ferry. It's a cute, small restaurant for specifically to-go orders with tables set outside. I was hoping their empanadas would be larger considering the price- 2/$9. I ordered the ham & cheese empanada & beef empanada. They were packaged well and gentleman who took my order was friendly and welcoming. This place is great. The one drawback is its limited hours. It's hard enough to find Spanish-style tortilla, which is a delicious dish made of eggs and potatoes. But the chimichurri sauce and the chorizo are also to die for! It's the perfect food to accompany you on the ferry. Whenever we have to wait to cross, we go there. It's a food counter. The place doesn't have indoor seating. There's limited outdoor seating. So, in foul or cold weather, you'd probably not want to eat on-site. Plan accordingly! Heard the buzz about this place and finally made it down here. Glad I came! The place is a hole in the wall but walk in traffic from the ferry was robust. I easily ordered the beef, the chicken, and spinach empanadas and an order of the potato balls (ham & cheese) to go. Order came out around 8 minutes...super quick! The service was a friendly family atmosphere and you could tell they live what they do! Got home and we tried everything. Holy Toledo!!! EVERYTHING was so tasty and left us immediately wishing we ordered more so we could continue the deliciousness we were experiencing. Pretty cool experience and I'll be back soon! We arrived at 11, opening time. The gentleman that helped us was very friendly, gave suggestions, and advised us on wait time. We easily ordered, ate, and got the next ferry back to Edmonds. We tried the beef and chicken empanadas- highly recommended. The potato balls were lightly fried and served with a white sauce that I also used on the empanadas. Since we went off season, we were the only customers this early and had the outside deck to ourselves and found parking right in front of the restaurant. It is one street from the ferry terminal so if you do a walk on ferry trip it will be a short walk. There didn't appear to be a restroom. Next time we will order double to bring home leftovers. read more

Wonderful food and experience at this little Kingston waterfront shop. Argensol's family story, shared on their website, clearly inspired their VERY reasonably priced and super-tasty offerings. We sat outside in the breezy shade of a sunny day and thoroughly enjoyed their beef and spinach/cheese enchiladas, which were made perfectly -- fresh and not overly fried, greasy or oily. The magic sauce that came with them added just the right amount of savory flavor. We also enjoyed their cheese potato bombs as a starter and could barely finish one piece of their Argentinian bread pudding for desert. Service was super welcoming too. This place is right next to the Kingston Ferry Terminal and a terrific option when you only have a few minutes until boarding. Most empanadas only take 8-10 minutes to cook. There were 2-3 orders ahead of us but our food was still out in less than ten minutes, and the staff was kind and efficient. We tried the beef and the chicken options, and everyone gave the food a thumbs-up (including my 7- and 10-year-olds).
