3 empanadas - beef, creamed corn, apple; Yerba mate cold drink - IG @bougiefoodieboi
    Kyle W.

Nice little empanadas place in Kingston. We went here to spend a little bit of time before we are off to the ferry. This place is conveniently located right by the ferry terminal, so it is a nice place to grab a quick bite. We tried the 3 for $12 empanadas: beef, creamed corn, and apple. It came with chimichurri sauce which is flavorful but not salty or sour, so it complements well with both savory and sweet empanadas. I liked the beef one a lot, with generous amounts of meat. The creamed corn is okay, but a bit more filling. The apple is quite interesting as empanadas I am used to are mostly savory, but this is a nice take for a dessert empanada. We also got the yerba mate tea which they only charged $2 instead of the $3 listed in the fridge, which was a welcome surprise. The yerba mate is definitely not the canned yerba mate drinks from the grocery store, but rather closer to the real deal. Of course, if you have lots of liquid, the drink is watered down, as my visit to Buenos Aires with the real mate experience is very concentrated and you are caffeinated with just a few sips. Regardless, the flavors are still there and it serves as a refreshing drink to pair with the empanadas.

Amazing empanadas and chimichurri! Ignacio is the man! This review has to be 85 characters so I'm filling in some space here. Tummy is happy.

Good food. Really nice owner. Curbside pickup was great for me. I have tried the fried steak sandwich. Was tasty. The three potato bomb flavors. I am a potato lover, so all were good. The empanadas are good. It was a sunny day in Kingston, and I was surprised and happy to see so many people patronizing the restaurant as soon as it opened. Nice to have diverse foods in our little town. I will go as often as I can to show support.

Delicious food! Made with love! If you're a Kingstonian or a traveler to Kingston you have to try this place. They made these empanadas upon order. Yum!

We randomly spotted this place while waiting for the ferry. It's a cute, small restaurant for specifically to-go orders with tables set outside. I was hoping their empanadas would be larger considering the price- 2/$9. I ordered the ham & cheese empanada & beef empanada. They were packaged well and gentleman who took my order was friendly and welcoming. Just a shame that the empanadas were just okay.. nothing stood out about them- beef could have been seasoned more and just wish they were a bit bigger in size. Kind of disappointing.

After getting off the ferry, we stopped by to get a treat while we sat at the park and watched the ferry unload and load. The empanadas were fresh, flavorful, warm!! A delicious snack!

Heard the buzz about this place and finally made it down here. Glad I came! The place is a hole in the wall but walk in traffic from the ferry was robust. I easily ordered the beef, the chicken, and spinach empanadas and an order of the potato balls (ham & cheese) to go. Order came out around 8 minutes...super quick! The service was a friendly family atmosphere and you could tell they live what they do! Got home and we tried everything. Holy Toledo!!! EVERYTHING was so tasty and left us immediately wishing we ordered more so we could continue the deliciousness we were experiencing. Pretty cool experience and I'll be back soon! Ate so fast because it smelled so good that I couldn't capture photos of the food...will post next time.

The garlicky oily dipping sauce added even more flavor to the savory empanadas and gave me dragon breath all day but it was so worth it! There is a good amount of seating here. I love the futbol decor and airiness of the place. There is some lot parking out front and street parking is also an option and where I found parking. The only downside to my experience coming here recently is how they forgot to include my ham & cheese empanada in the to go box that was nicely packaged and sealed so I couldn't check to see if it was there until I unpacked my order and found that it was not there. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of calling them to get a refund for it or drive back for it. Also, I don't feel like giving them one less star right now on this review because of it. I'm considering it this time as a natural human error and donation to this nice small business. Hopefully, they will be more careful and efficient my next visit because their product was very tasty and I do want go back there again soon to try more.

On…read moremy way to Bothell via Lake City Way to Hwy 522, I was able to snag a parking lot close to Seatango (3/27/26). Walking in, it was nice to see the space reconfigured to allow more kitchen and pastry case space. Plus the interior is a lot more warmer with wall color and vibrant art work which is enhanced by the natural light. This makes for a more pleasant dining area. I was kind of overwhelmed with the immense selection and variety in the wrap around pastry case. I'm glad that the counter person was patient with me as I seriously gave consideration since clearly I can't say - one of each please, lol. I ended up exercising restraint and selected two ham and cheese empanadas with chimichurri and two chocolate covered chocolate alfajores with dulce de leche as takeout. The Homie ate one empanada with chimichurri later that day. I ate mine the next day with the remaining chimichurri. We can both attest that the quality has remained despite the near five year hiatus. The alfajores also was delicious, no surprise there. Next visit, I'm going to inquire further about the assortment of pastries in the front pastry case. There was no individual signage displayed during my visit. Again, glad to see another indie business survive post-pandemic and during these challenging economic times.

Moons ago, my friend and I drove across one state to hunt for empanadas --- that's how badly we wanted one. Seattle -- you don't have to work that hard. "LOVE" is real close by! WESTERN WA & BEYOND: Go to LAKE CITY for the most SAVORY & SWEET empanadas!! The empanadas are HUGE but most of all, DELICIOUS! Walk in, take in the glorious aromas! Breathe it in. It's pure joy! We eat with our eyes. I was mesmerized by the baked good display. It is a very thoughtful, organized and wonderfully presented food items presentation. So much love goes into making these baked delights! Still, that's not where it ends-- look at my pictures. There are many goodies to choose from. Don't drool too hard. Just get there and order a box of many! This place has an OLD WORLD CHARM. In a small way, I fell in love with the decorations, colors, the smell of warm sugar, the space ... I talked the few customers present. Every person said roughly the same thing, "TRY EVERYTHING. You can't go wrong. It's all amazing. Sweet or savory. No matter." Everything is HAND-MADE. The bakery is small but the space, display, warm and welcoming. I found street parking -- no problem. I was waiting for my dog to get bathed and groomed nearby. Found myself wanting a snack. Just needed a little something to hold me over until a real meal. Had no idea that my beef [there is also chicken, many more flavors] empanada is a MEAL in itself. The man who waits on you knows his products very well even though it takes a few seconds for him to WARM UP to you. Still, he is a wonderful, friendly & hard working man. An amazing shop speaks for itself when you walk in. I'd drive across state lines to eat at SEATANGO! Try it and see how you like it. I suspect, like any place -- going OFF PEAK times will garnish you more attention by the wait staff. Still, don't wait to go. Go to Seatango now ... no regrets! PS -- Please Understand. This is my first time ever giving a WA bakery 5 stars.

This is a vintage brick building facing Elliot Bay on Western Ave. a few blocks from El Gaucho's former space. Gone is that funky blue facade and El Gaucho sign. The new space is amazing with high ceilings, an energetic bar area, an open visible kitchen, a large primary dining area, and several private dining spots. From the valet and front of the house to the waiters, El Gaucho provided a welcoming environment! There was only one valet personnel working this Friday night so we had to wait a bit before he returned from the parking area to take our key. Once inside, we were seated immediately. Our server, Sarah and colleagues, were very personable and welcoming, and provided us with exceptional service which made our experience great! El Gaucho sets a romantic mood with its dimly lit interior, white table cloths, tailored waiters, and pianist playing in the background. We started our dinner with glasses on sauvignon blanc and blood orange old fashioned, and a dozen local oysters which were delicious! Next up were our entrees. My wife chose a couple of appetizers, the Wicked Shrimp (which had a nice spicy sauce) and the Diver Sea Scallops which included pommes puree, picatta topping, and lemon beurre blanc. Both of these dishes were excellently prepared and tasted great! Before arriving, I had already decided I was going to try the Canadian Lobster Tail (for those who have followed my reviews are aware, we are pescatarians). At El Gaucho there are several opportunities to enjoy a tableside presentation (caesar salad, flaming sword, Steak Diane, Chateaubriand, baked potato, and a couple desserts). So, the 18 oz Lobster Tail (accompanied with drawn butter and lemon) and baked potato were excellent prepared and presented tableside! We didn't do dessert on this occasion but definitely will on our next visit. We were presented with an after dinner ensemble of grapes, pears, and crackers. I must say the execution in the kitchen for our dinner was excellent as each entree was seasoned appropriately and not overcooked. Kudos to Executive Chef Joe and his team!! The only disappointment is that those wonderful views of Elliot Bay are no longer viewable from inside the new location but that's okay because the food, service, and inside ambiance are first rate.

The interior of course is low-light so get ready if it's late afternoon before sunset for you to go blind from bright light to darkness which is one of the things that makes El Gaucho special. We like to go to special events at El Gaucho where valet is complementary then follow the event with a meal. We have found that ordering the Chateubriand 20oz and share to be the best value and have never been disappointed as always perfectly cooked. The cocktails are top quality and service is impecible. Another plus is you can join their Revelers Club and get points, invites to special events and redeem points toward meal cost.

The Bone Marrow was exactly what you'd expect! So yummy. For our mains we got the Buenos Aires Torta (actually the reason we came to try Asadero) and the shrimp tacos. The bread for the Torta was flavorful and perfectly toasted. The steak was delicious and the chimichurri was so good I just wish there was more! My husband got the tacos and he said they were also very good! After we finished eating we were offered peppermint tea (complimentary) which was another really unexpected and unique touch/experience!
