George Guzman, owner of OUTSTANDING FLOORING, installed roughly 50 sq. yards of linoleum as part of a total remodel of our kitchen and laundry service area. In this instance, he was sub-contracting for Linoleum City in Los Angeles from which we had selected and purchased the flooring.
George and his two-man crew showed up around 9:00 AM this morning and finished at 5:00 PM.
George learned the trade from his stepfather, with whom he began installing carpeting at age nine. His expertise acquired over the years shows. His installation of our linoleum was an exercise in perfection. What impressed me the most - I guess because I know nothing of the technique of laying down lino - was that the junction of the two sheets - one in each room - was perfectly matched and joined in the doorway between the two spaces. You would be led to believe it was a single giant sheet. And the lino met the walls and counters all the way around with precision.
I don't know if George does jobs independently, i.e. separate from those contracted by the large flooring retailers, but he's your man if he does. Or, if you go through Linoleum City, ask for his installation services by name. You won't be disappointed. read more
