I recently visited this establishment and was disgusted by the way the manager Amber spoke and treated her employees. the food was good. But i expected more out of someone in a leadership role. Good food or not the managers treating the employees poorly made it a bad experience for me to have to witness. I do suggest this manager to do better and treat employees respectfully as they should. read more

Brisket Philly - meat cold, peppers and onions cold and cheese was not melted at all. Sent it back nicely ..they were to fix ...came back with slight panini style press marks but no toasting .... but inside no change ..all still cold......last time I got it they gave me meat only ... quality control please. It could easily be improved on. This used to be good all the time. :( read more

Everything was going perfectly until a waitress came and said that there would be a 30 minute wait on the two baked potatoes that were ordered. The sandwiches came out cold and dry, the replacement sandwich for one of the baked potatoes was a bunch of chunks of tasteless something. The only good part about this place was leaving it. The table next to ours had the same waitress come and let them know that it would be some time before they could get their order due to lack of preparation. Will most likely be back but was recommended to go to the Alexandria location. read more

The best barbecue in Cenla! And reasonable pricing. Their sauce is very good, also.

I'll give them credit professor service had a nice atmosphere but this has to be the driest brisket I've ever had and the sausage is definitely nothing special. It's edible, but it's pretty much like a fast food barbecue. read more

Outlaw's BBQ - Pineville - Brisket and sausage with beans and potatoes - Barbeque Near Me - Pineville, Louisiana

I had high expectations for this established bbq eatery but was very disappointed. The ribs were super tough and without much flavor. The brisket slices were nothing to brag about. My son liked his sides of fried okra and green beans. Hubby's chopped brisket and fries was fine, but if are expecting great tasting, tender Texas style bbq, you will be dissatisfied. 30 minute wait after ordering to finally get our food. I personally will not be back! read more

I had written about my negative first visit to Outlaws a few weeks ago and in response was sent a card for a free meal of my choice, which I thought was very kind for them to do. Yesterday, I finally got around to my 2nd visit and was in anticipation of a great BBQ. I went about 1 p.m. and ordered the 3-meat BBQ plate. My selections were, the ribs, brisket and chopped pork with fries and a side-salad. The first thing I put in my mouth was a Luke-warm French fry, followed by a bite of a large, thick rib that didn't look cooked all the way through (very fatty) and again just Luke-warm. The salad was descent, just real small. Next, I took a bite of the Brisket, which was very tender and the best tasting of the three meats. I took a couple of the limp cold fries and dipped them in the house sauce which was tasty. I then found the very small portion of the chopped pork and took a bite after I dipped them in the sauce and the pork was good just not much of it. I finished about half of the order and took the rest home in a Togo box. I went home and put the box in the refrigerator and about 6 p.m. I warmed the contents at 350 for 15 minutes and finished the meal. I was awakened about 4:45 a.m. with the urge to visit the Thrown of which I did 6 times in the next 4 hours with a very liquid case of the "Montezuma's" revenge. Note: The only thing I ate before my visit was a bowl of shredded wheat and a handful of walnuts. I am considering contacting the health department Monday morning and I still have the rib bones in my freezer for proof but just considering further action. At 73, I can't risk my health, so I will most definitely not be eating there again. read more

This is a decent no-frills establishment for good food at a reasonable price. All the food is good, especially the sausage. The chicken is cooked well and wasn't dry. The bbq beans were good. The house "hot" bbq sauce had a good flavor, but could have used some more heat. The service was very good. Large open seating area. There were recent country tunes playing. read more

I waited almost 15 minutes for an order to go. That's not even the bad part. The bad part is the brisket was so hard and robbery and tough. I could barely eat it. The ham was pretty good, but the brisket was too tough. I Usually order this whenever my family is in town for the holidays but last night it was an embarrassment. read more

Could've been MUCH BETTER. We ordered 2 burgers. There were dry. The curly fries were in good. Actually tasted like Arby's curly fries. BUT, they need to learn how to clean their tables! Every booth has plates, etc. from previous diners THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE. I'm including walking in, deciding on what to eat, the order being cooked, us eating, then leaving. BUS YOUR TABLES! read more

Very disappointed! I ordered a House Salad ($5.99), asked for mixed greens and Italian dressing. I ended up with a small pile of shredded iceberg lettuce (about half a cup) with a tiny sprinkle of cheese. No tomatoes. I was given Ranch dressing and told they were out of Italian. it was very busy lunch crowd so it also took a long time. I won't be back! read more

Well after something as simple as a sweet potato and being told it's extra $2.00 to put the butter on the side. This is what I get. I used outlaws to cater both my thanksgiving and Christmas company parties and this is just disappointing. read more

I come through the Pineville area occasionally and have often wondered about Outlaw's BBQ. Finally, tonight I decided it was time! I walked up to the counter to order and had no idea what to get. I asked a couple of questions and got half hearted responses from the girl taking my order. Finally I decided to get the 2 meat plate with brisket and pork, BBQ beans and potato casserole. I sat at the big round table and eagerly awaited my food. A different girl walked up and dropped my plate on the table, grabbed the round thingy off the table and retreated. I was completely underwhelmed by what I saw on my plate. I thought there must be some mistake! No roll? Well,I decided to dig in. It didn't look like much food for the money, but maybe it would be the best thing I've had in a while. Disappointment sat in quickly. Everything was so bland! I left with a heavy heart and crushed expectations. read more

Just had a sliced brisket sandwich as takeout.. very disappointing-it was tough, meat was sliced the wrong direction and sandwich came covered in bbq sauce. Why offer more sauce when you have already buried it in sauce? I've been here multiple times in the past and this was very disappointing. read more

This is an amazing spot for BBQ! I highly recommend you come try this place out, especially if you're from out of town and craving some good BBQ. I ordered the Outlaw Plate and half a pound of brisket, I was really hungry. I wasn't expecting for them to add a lot of meat to the plate like most BBQ places do, I'd say I got pound and a half of meat not including the other half I ordered. Enough to get you full until the next day. Service was really great, they come out and give you your food instead of having to pick it up yourself. Plenty of space inside the restaurant, looks small from the outside but spacious on the inside. Definitely coming back! read more

A very good place to have a great meal. Jolie was a fantastic waitress and took excellent care of us. would recommend this place to anyone

Great food. Horrible service. I should've expected this because they were busy, pretty quick but not flawless and the worker's had very bad attitudes. I think I would've gotten better food from McDonald's quarter pounder and a barbecue dipping sauce. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant this isn't it. It looks like a barn. I like it because you get good food in a warm environment. I would give more stars but that drive through crew was just nasty. I will never forget nor will I ever go through that window again. read more

It's gone downhill. Last time we went, the sandwiches were smaller, less well constructed, and basically about the same quality as if I'd gone to Subway. The people are still pretty nice, but nope, we won't go again. read more

Stopped in on June 16, 2019 during a quick trip up to north LA, and had a divine lunch! Chopped beef sandwich with fried okra was a hit in my book! Great tasting BBQ sauce, chopped beef was excellent, and okra was outstanding. Three different BBQ sauces on the table for you to try! The ordering system is very organized and efficient! Highly recommend checking this place out when in the area! read more

My husband and I quit going to outlaws in pineville because the food wasn't good anymore. We usually order a pressed po boy We decided to go back today and try it again. We ordered a dressed pressed po boy. When they brought it I could not even tell what it was. Finally I figured out they stacked the 2 halves on. top of each other. Never had that before. They were so soggy and the bread was so thin I could see the meat through the bread. My husband never found the top piece of bread on his bottom half. We had little meat soggy lettuce and a little piece of tomato. And the po boys wete extremely small. We decided to eat them because we were pressed for time. And we figured they would say that's how we make them now!!! We give restaurants 2 chances and this was its second chance!!! No more!!! read more

My husband and I visit Outlaw's from time to time, but it's hit and miss. Sometimes the food is good and hot, and other times it's not. We just purchased two chop bakers, one was the regular potato with brisket and the other was a sweet potato with chicken. BOTH potatoes were burned on the bottom and the chicken was dry. We did not check the food before we left the drive through and did not feel like driving back to the restaurant to exchange them for fresh ones. The taste was okay considering, but I wish I had taken before photos as well. read more

My first trip to Outlaw's BBQ could not be better! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and curly fries. The BBQ was nice and smoked! A choice of 3 sauces on the table let me choose the one to my taste. Outlaw's gives you the larger hamburger style bun with plenty of meat. They give you a generous helping of fries, too, fried just right! read more

got a dinner recently and ordered baked beans as one of the sides. when I got home I was looking forward to the beans as they are great I opened the cup an was surprised ..... the cup was full of juice and 2 and one half teaspoons of beans. ... really frustrating .. you would think restaurants would be on their game now ...love the food but that was not good service read more

Might be the best smoked chicken I've ever had! They have bbq sauces to go with it but not when it's already juicy, peppery, and super delicious. Overall good experience and food. Sauces were good. Meat plate with sausage, ribs, and brisket was delicious. Not 100 percent thrilled with canned green beans. The slaw was good. Jesse James burger was really good with lots of Swiss and grilled onions and the fries were crispy and good but it was a very small portion of fries maybe like 10 fries total. Actually all sides were very small. Son got the bbq pork sandwich and daughter got the fried catfish plate. Ended up being right at 60 dollars total. So I feel a bit pricer than I was expecting from what we got on our plates. read more

The Loaded Chopped Bakers with the Sausage link are amazing! Service is always quick and great! We love them so much we go every week!

PROS: The Mac n cheese was great, the cole slaw was great (creamy). I ended up putting sauce in my beef and it helped. The sauce was a good blend of vinegar and sweet. I will also have to add that the wings are amazing and might be the best ever. CONS: The brisket. I'm from TX though. It was a little Smokey and had a medium consistency. I wouldn't call it tough but it didn't melt in your mouth. The outer quarter of the slice is good though. read more

Worst BBQ in central Louisiana. Brisket is tough and cut too thick which makes it tougher. Chicken is bland.
