Our table of 10 included people who drove from Jackson, Bossier City, Alexandria, and Many specifically to eat at Mayeaux's, a family favorite for special occasions since they first opened. The food tasted good, but every entree brought to the table was served lukewarm, only slightly above room temperature. None of us said anything at the table, each thinking it was only our plate and not wanting to spoil our get together. When talking about our dinner later in the evening, we found that we all had the same experience. They were busy as usual for a Saturday night, but nothing out of the ordinary. Inconsistent quality is damaging to a restaurant's reputation. We all agreed that it will be awhile before we return.
