Came in for the rolls left with steak and ribs. And im not mad bout it. Pretty standard visit at the local Texas Roadhouse . Service was fairly speedy and food was amazing. Do not remember my servers name , but she nice and made good conversation with the group. Highly recommend

Chicken Critter and Baked Sweet Potato

I ended up here because some coworkers wanted to eat lunch over here. I'm not sure why because this place was so packed it was unbelievable. But I relented and decided to join them. I'll be the first admit nothing on the menu really caught my eye. I ended up getting the chicken critters which are basically fried chicken tenders with a baked sweet potato. The chicken tenders were perfectly cooked and super moist. But the best part of the whole dish was actually the baked sweet potato. Listen to baked and naturally sweet. Despite it being really busy it didn't take long for our food to come out. Our server was great.

Texas Roadhouse has never disappointed. The steaks are very flavorful and the sides are good. The only drawback at times is the wait.

Koal’s Bar-B-Que - 1/2 chicken plate with green beans and potato salad

In Alexandria for business and came to Koal's based off of a recommendation…read more To be completely honest, I am a little biased regarding BBQ as I feel Texas has the best BBQ, but Koal's might offer the best brisket I've ever eaten. The brisket was smoked perfectly: it was juicy, flavorful, and had great smoke flavor and nice smoke ring. I also went with the Mac & cheese and potato salad. The Mac & cheese was pretty good, although the potato salad was a little bland. The service was impeccable! The staff we encountered were all helpful and very friendly and the restaurant is very clean and well-kept. Make it a point to visit Koal's BBQ, I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Two toes-two thumbs and a Mile High Salute for Koal's BBQ! Happy eating, my foodies!

I've been hearing so much about this place so I had to make a trip and see what Louisiana barbecue…read moreis about. First, the menu is amazing. From steaks to Smokehouse salads (not seeing this as often as we used to at bbq restaurants) to brisket potatoes, there is something here for everyone. I'm happy to see some classics (the Wedge salad and the bbq plate with 2 sides) as well as some unique dishes (the PB & J sandwich - pulled pork, sliced brisket, and jalapeno pepper Jack sausage and the prime brisket potato casserole, two things I want to try next). When I review barbecue I have my go-to items. On this visit I got the 1/2 chicken with potato salad and green beans, traditional but a great way to understand Koal's pov. I love the rub and smoke on this chicken and it was so tender, my dining partners took note for their next visit. I loved the potato salad, too. It was well mixed with mustard and pickles (the right way!) and the texture was perfect. No big hunks of celery or onion to dominate the flavor. The green beans were perfect enough to eat as a solo dish but the bonus for me was the yeast roll. I'm so used to white bread in Texas, I really enjoyed having a buttery yeast roll to tuck my chicken and sauce in. Finally, I would come back for the homemade pickles alone! I've never eaten so many pickles in a sitting and the manager was happy to accommodate. My guests had the beef ribs, brisket, and potato casserole and worked hard to clear their plate but the portions here are generous and we all ended up with a snack for later. This place is a true find with a nice sized dining room, great food, and excellent service. If you're smart, you'll save room for the bread pudding or at least order it to go. Delicious!

The table screen to reorder drinks didn't allow me to change my cocktail since the first pins koala (with no edible koala as advertised) was so sweet it was like trying to drink melted vanilla pudding with lots of cinnamon) My husband had to ask for a glass of water twice! The steaks were average...not delicious like in the beginning. Edible but not impressive. The margarita had so much salt I didn't drink it after a huge swallow of what tasted like salt water. Finally this place needs a total makeover if they'd like to keep up with their neighboring steak house TLH where the parking lot AND its neighboring lot was FULL which is the reason we came to Outback bc we were pressed for time so didn't want to wait to be seated at the other. Maybe add background music for a little ambiance and dim the lights until an update can be done. Also I highly suggest throwing away the bread boards that looked like they've been used since opening day. Unfortunately I will not be returning unless desperate

We reserved a table for 20 which cost $150 added to our bill (total table I'm guessing was over…read more$1500 probably more ‍ since just my portion of 6 people was $525 before tip) to reserve the table in a room so I would've expected that the fee would've included more than 1 waiter. The waiter gets a 5 star review from us because I felt so bad for her to have to do EVERYTHING alone for 20 people and she was kind & tried her very best to do a good job but it's humanly impossible for 1 person to serve 20 people ordering appetizers, cocktails AND meals. Just the task of bringing waters to the table took her 4 trips so imagine all the cocktails & refill requests!! We were there 2 HOURS before eating! Thank goodness the food was good and the company was even better so we enjoyed our evening but shame on Tunks manager/owners for not preparing better for a busy Friday night that included a wedding party reservation for 20 that they knew about way ahead of time so could've prepared accordingly. The place needs to be renovated really bad! I appreciated the nostalgia of stepping back into time when life was simpler but the overall feeling is a bit dirty and the bottom deck had soft spots, the concrete walkway out to the lawn had sunken areas so be careful and the cats were begging while the carpenter bees were feasting! The scenery is beautiful at sunset and was a perfect spot to take pictures. The cocktails were good but had very little alcohol so we switched to beer. The beer prices are CHEAP! $4 for a Stella appetizers were huge and the prices were good, only $15 for 3 huge full plates so can feed a lot of hungry people while waiting on what seemed like forever to order. I'd go back if in the area since the food was good but since I'm out of town most likely wouldn't drive just to come for dinner. I highly suggest if paying for the private room and arriving with a lot of people to make sure you request 2-3 servers so you're not there for 4 hours!

I came with my dad and husband on a Saturday right when they opened at 4:30 and we were promptly seated (the oyster bar downstairs looked like it was already pretty busy!) We were seated by the window in the dining room when you first walk in so I had a beauty beautiful view of the lake, swamp trees and birds, and sunset while I ate! We were greeted by a sweet blonde curly waitress (I don't think she said her name) and quickly served our drinks of choice. I chose sweet tea because I was in the deep south and they make it the best! For our appetizer we shared the Shrimp en Brochette with waffle fries. Overall the stuffed shrimp were very good and fresh, although I may ask them to cook the bacon a little harder next time. THE SAUCES were the star of the show, so much so that I dipped the waffle fries in all of them. No clue what they were, but my best guess is a Parmesan cream sauce, melted butter sauce with a hint of lemon, and some sort of brown sugar or caramel sauce with black pepper. The brown sauce and the Parmesan cream sauce were my absolute favorite and I could not get enough of them! I even got my dad hooked to dipping the waffle fries in the brown sauce! I had the Snapper Ponchartrain for my entrée with garlic mashed potatoes, and a side salad with homemade thousand island dressing. Both sides were very good. The salad was fresh and served in a chilled bowl, the mashed potatoes were perfectly whipped in garlicky buttery goodness, and the bread was reminiscent of a beignet without the powder sugar! Again, the homemade sauces for the salad and the fish were the stars of the show! The fish was delicious and fresh however, I feel like it could not compete with my taste of the Snapper Sandy that my dad got! I am definitely ordering that cheesy goodness next time I am there! For dessert, I had the bread pudding to go! The only thing I would do differently is ask for the sauce on the side, but the bread pudding was delicious and nice and saucy by the time I had it at home! Again, another sauce star! Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and still obsessing over the sauces! Great to see this restaurant still doing well after all this time!
