All concrete parking lot and lack of any greenery kind of spoils the outside experience. I feel a patio would be great at a restaurant such as this. The food was very good and felt light and healthy. Plenty of options from the chicken salads itself to the sides to the desserts. Service was slow ordering but my meals were prepared and delivered quickly. Unfortunately I did find a hair in my fresh fruit medley side. Everything else was perfect and tasty! I got the buffalo barclay. My order was 2 sandwiches a side for each, comes with a pickle and a small buttercream cookie. $20 is not a bad price at all The inside is very cute with plenty of seating. Had my first visit to Chicken Salad Chick today for Veterans Day. I went inside and they had decorations up for us, along with a lovely back drop and the manager was there and she greeted the customers and thanked the veterans for our service, then offered to get a picture by the back drop. Very welcoming, great customer service from everyone. They actually gave us a couple of options for our lunch. It was very generous of them and very tasty. Centrally located in Alexandria. I really liked that they had a fast and efficient drive thru. I had the standard chicken salad sandwich on white bread - toasted. It was the weirdest piece of bread I've ever had. It was almost like it had wax over it on each side where it was toasted. The chicken salad itself was pretty good but a bit bland. There were a few chewy pieces that required spitting out but overall it tasted mostly of white meat. I got the grape salad as a side and that was surprisingly delicious. I would go back but try another style of chicken salad with more flavor and definitely on a croissant , not the weird bread. The cookie that was included was so yummy! read more

My best place to eat in Alexandria! It's clean, workers are friendly and fast! Jalapeño Holly is my favorite. I usually get the scoop and soup. My favorite soup is their creamy chicken poblano, which they no longer have. It was um um good!!!! I just wish it wasn't so far away. Hands down it's a 10 out of 10 for me! I came with my husband the Saturday after thanksgiving on my way out of town. It was pretty quiet in there. Only a couple people in front of us & the service was quick. When we were ordering, it came up that we had never been to Chicken Salad Chicks so the general manager got us a couple samples. All of them were so good! It really helped us making a decision since we're used to plain chicken salad. He was so nice & helpful. When the food arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Everything looked fresh & good portion. The potato soup was fantastic!!! The Olivia's Southern Chicken Salad was good! It's pretty standard but that's exactly what I wanted. My husband got the Kicking something on the sandwich & the Jazzy Julie as an extra scoop. He loved both but said the Kicking was the best. The croissants were actually solid, good croissants. It came with a pickle, crackers & even a cookie! Service, food, atmosphere, 10/10 great! When we're back in town that's where you can find us. read more

Being the newest food chain in our little town one would assume that there would still be some fine tuning going on but boy was I wrong! Every employee I encountered went above & beyond, they had ample variety of menu options and the amount of time from when my order was taken until my first bite was minimal! I had a scoop of Fancy Nancy with broccoli salad and grape salad and let me say everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back to tryout more! Since opening, I've been 3 times! It's so good! My husband and I love the seasonal salad, basil chicken salad, and pimento chicken salad. Also the soups are a big hit! It does take a little bit for your food but greatness can't be rushed! Also, you can order ahead and walk in for your food. The staff are younger and energetic, clean and neat. I was turned on to this about 2 years ago when my wife and I would travel to Lafayette La during our daughters travel ball tournaments and well at first I just didn't get the excitement. Now it has arrived to our little city and its a rave! Since its opening I have been 3x and have gotten a different chic salad each time and every selection has been better than the last. I have had the mac n cheese each time because I cant pull myself to order another side; which I've heard the soups are very good. The place is very nice and seats a ton of people but the service is very good and quick that you can be in and out of there in less than 30 minutes during the lunch rush. We always go around 11:00 and its getting busy; come 11:30 you would think this is the only place open for lunch....people are just pouring in. Have not had a poor experience in my 4x eating from here. It must be a family owned business and all of their children are very sweet. Im very happy they are here to stay. A breath of fresh air for Alexandria Louisiana. Tasty food, healthy choices and friendly staff. The Restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms. Some of you are probably thinking who cares about the bathroom but it's a reflection of the kitchen in my book. They may get tired of seeing our family before we get tired of eating there. If you don't like southern hospitality and good food this may not be the right place for you. Alexandria has 20 hamburger places if you like boring.
