I was originally planning on going to truth bbq in Brenham, but unfortunately they were sold out so we hit the road in search of another bbq joint. The food here was really good. I had the brisket, sausage, green beans, and potato salad. Everyone that worked here was super friendly and the restaurant was clean. Affordable prices as well. read more

The smoked turkey is worthy of 5 stars however the rest of our meat items were okay. We had brisket, jalapeño-cheese sausage, and chicken salad - all of which were very salty with limited smoke flavor. Outlaw corn was good. Macaroni & cheese was dry. It's Giddings so the pickings are slim. We might come back when we pass through but won't be making a special trip just for this Q. read more

For someone passing through Giddings, you might not see Outlaws over on North Main, but we used the Yelp app to find a new place to eat and Outlaws showed up. Lucky for us it was a Saturday because they're only open for lunch (11am-3pm) on Fridays & Saturdays. We knew it was good when we pulled in next to a law enforcement vehicle (officers tend to know the best places in their town!). It's in a manufactured building that's very clean and inviting. Felt like invited guests by the warm greetings from Shane, Sharon, and their experienced crew: they know what they're doing. You can trust their barbecue technique to produce tender, memorable tasting meats, with all the traditional sides. Folks like them are what make Texas the great state that it is. Makes me feel sorry for all them other places in our country that don't have what we have. read more

Wanted a quick stop for protein and a break from driving Hwy 77. Stopped at Outlaws BBQ and ... OMG!! Seriously great BBQ. I had pork ribs, brisket, Cole slaw and Oreo cookie pudding. Wifey had a pulled pork sandwich. Pulled pork was very well seasoned but not too spicy. She loved that it was a simple sandwich with just meat, onions and pickles on a bun, no sauce. Just like she likes it. My pork ribs were perfect with a great crust. The meat fell off the bone - yet crunchy with the smoke crust. The brisket was full of flavor with great smoke rings all over. Loved the Cole slaw and the pudding. Fast service, small place and did not cost as much as Austin area BBQ and seriously good. These guys deserve all of the awards that cover the walls. I can still smell the smoke of the BBQ even after leaving an hour ago. Very pleasant. We both agree with other reviewers that ranked this place as one of the best BBQ joints they had ever been to. We were driving though and decided to stop by. The guys inside were extremely welcoming and friendly. Prompt service. Ample outdoor seating that is covered- they even had a water bowl for our pup! The food was incredible. At the table we had brisket, chicken, pinto beans, green beans, and coleslaw. Loved it all! While we aren't from the area we drive through frequently. We drove through Giddings today and decided to stop for lunch. We stopped by Outlaws BBQ based on the yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! The brisket and ribs were fantastic!! And those green beans...wow! We are so happy to discover this bbq place and can't wait to stop again on our return trip. Stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of the owner of the Lee County Christmas Tree Farm. It did NOT disappoint! Super friendly staff and more importantly, delicious food! Even my super picky kids found stuff to eat that they loved. Chicken was amazing - moist and flavorful and the serving size was so large that we took half of it home for dinner. Great outdoor space in the back on a large patio with a huge field. Perfect set up for the adults to be able to eat while the kids have space to play. The staff also surprised us by bringing lollipops to our table and then we found out they have a whole candy bucket inside! Nice treat on the way out. I would recommend the brisket, the chicken, the mac & cheese and my sister said the pinto beans were the best she ever had! read more

Bland. I had the sandwich with EVERYTHING on it and it was full of disappointment. How can you be down the street from Snows and City Meat Market and have good like this? Has Tootsie ever been here? We had Outlaws BBQ cater our baby shower this weekend and it was amazing!! Shane delivered our order on time and communicated with me from start to finish. Everyone raved about the food! The brisket and sausage were so Tender and delicious!! The Mac and cheese was the bomb diggity too!! I could not stop eating!!
