I've been coming here for a long time.. Outer Limits has to be the best head shop in North County I even prefer Outer Limits over Inner World up north a little on the 101. They have a huge selection of any type of pipe, bongs, or vaporizers. They also have a ton of magazines, hookah supplies and tobacco, alternative highs, scales, posters and clothing. Also you can haggle a little bit on the prices and they're always super chill about coming down a little in price! The staff, especially this one guy that wears a baseball cap, is incredibly rude and generally unhelpful. I have purchased 4 batteries in two months and they keep failing because they are mass produced with no quality control and are cheaply made, yet the shop sells them for $20 each. They have no return policy, everything is sold as-is. The first battery I bought failed within a month. I brought my credit card receipt and the manager did allow me to exchange it, but the replacement failed shortly thereafter as well. I have asked the salesperson how long the batteries last and they have no idea and have told me I can bring it back only if it fails the day I purchase it or the next few days. So far I have had 3 fail within two months time. One failed today, the day before Thanksgiving and I had to fight traffic to find out what the problem was. The clerk enjoyed the fact that I was frustrated, so I saw the manager and after she made me wait 10 minutes, she finally tried to help me. She did give me yet another battery for a 30% discount. The guy that helped me earlier had told me that everything in the store would be on sale for 70% off the day after Thanksgiving, the manager told me this was not true, only a few items were going on sale. I have a Nautilus Aspire tank and I can buy atomizers for it at Mojo, the smoke shop in Encinitas for $15 for a 5-pack. Outer Limits sells the 5-pack for $24.99. read more

New owners have stepped up the quality of glass, but for some strange reason they will, with seemingly reckless abandon, decide that something is no longer for sale. I walked in with about a grand in my pocket to find a nice dab piece, i took my time looking around, one of the younger female employees and she was a sweetheart. I asked about some smaller items they had in a display case which happened to be like a five dollar item and one of the owners/ older female employees told me it wasn't for sale (although it was in a display case with items for sale). i told her she could charge me whatever she needed to make money on it and she was adamant it was not for sale. needless to say, i walked away without spending a dime. Im done trying to find glass in oceanside without someone trying to hustle me for every penny i have. Save your time and money and go to Garnett in PB. Lots of affordable, reputable glass on that street! read more

Not happy at all with the service/lack of proper management, however they have a huge selection of high quality glass, I'm a Sacramento resident here visiting family and was recommended to this shop by several friends and family members, I was planning on a good chunk of change at the shop considering they had several pieces I had been searching all around the Northern area for months with no luck, so I asked about and looked at several pieces and started to ask the sales associate if I bought serval pieces if I could get a price break, she said she had to talk to the manager, came back and told me that her manager would only allow her to give me $2 off, which to me is more of an insult then anything, so I told her no thanks and continued to look around and inspect a few other pieces I was interested in, again with no luck at all in getting a price break, looked around once more and decided to leave, later on after lunch I came back to the shop in hopes of them having a change in heart possibly and there was one piece I really did have my eye set on, I walked in and talked to the same sales associate and asked if I personally could talk to the manager and she responded that she was actually on lunch break and it would be 15 minutes until she was off lunch, she (sales associate) also said she personally was getting off work in 10 minutes, so I looked around the shop for over 20 minutes looking around hoping the manager would come out so I could see if there was a possibility for a discount of some sort for getting multiple items, after about 30 minutes maybe a little less and no luck, I went and talked to another associate and complained about the fact of how long I had been waiting around for the manager without him saying much at all and then told him I couldn't wait any longer and to just ring me up for the one piece without any discount however they were missing out a selling more pieces he rung me up and that was it. by far the worste service I have ever had at ANY smoke shop, while they do have a lot of nice glass they are not customer friendly at all and are not willing to work with customers coming in the shop that are wanting to spend money from long distances...... I would not reccomend them to anyone I personally know due to the lack of customer support/managment had they taken the time to actually come out and talk to me they could have made quite a large sale, instead they only were able to sell one small piece of lesser value that the manufacture had discontinued, I'm hoping the manager might actually contact me now that I've faced my opinion here, thanks read more
