Always very helpful and friendly. Never had a bad experience here! I definitely recommend!

Under NEW & BETTER management!! This is HANDS DOWN the BEST smoke shop of ALL of Oceanside, Carlsbad and Vista. and this hurts me saying this cause I'm putting them ahead of the best top tier place around ..but you know why? It is because AJ. He cut reason why this smoke shop is the best around!! He cares about the customer response, he is friendly, he shows up ON TIME (which WE ALL know a lot of these smoke shop owners love to show up on a regular basis but not AJ) or he is there earlier and he truly cares about the products. I personally go for the cigars and let me tell you this.. I stop going to my old favorite shop and stop shopping online simply cause AJ. Seriously the selection here is AMAZING and better than the ACTUAL cigar lounge in Oceanside (Grotto). I guarantee if they had a lounge.. I'd be there every day. read more

Really great store. Shout out to RJ who is there like 90% of the time and is super cool. I just really appreciate good customer service and genuinely good human beings. Their selection is really good too. Everything you would expect from this type of store. They even have regular drinks like soda and Gatorade and whatnot. Prices are really good too. They don't try to gouge you at all. Would most definitely recommend. read more

Fabulous service only place to go for smokes! Don't go anywhere else! Put this place on the map!

This is my new number one place to get E juice. Trust me when I say you won't find a better variety and quality of vape juice anywhere else in North County. I looked everywhere for a juice that I can tolerate and is the mg that I'm looking for and Original Smoke Shop has it all. If they don't have it he will order it for you and have it in a few days. Great service and the best E juice around, whether you like 50/50 VG or Nic Salts like me they have it or will have it shortly. read more

I've been coming to the smoke shop for five years. They recently changed ownership and wow, what a significant difference. The gentleman that runs the shop from day-to-day is RJ and he is fantastic. RJ make sure that I am completely taken care of and the shop is always fully stocked and if he doesn't have something, he make sure he gets it. Alex is the owner what a great man as they are both always willing to provide you everything and anything that you need or asking for . Fantastic customer service . read more

Every time I go in there Rj always has a smile. There was an incident where a friend dog got loose and ran in there. Rj was so patient and helpful. I really enjoy how they treat the regulars like family. Thanks RJ and the rest of the crew!!!!! read more

It's honestly hilarious how angry he is, I seriously thought he was joking when I walked in and laughed but to instantly be asked "what's so funny white boy" made me laugh even harder. Harassed the crap out of me over kratom which he told me was illegal to sell them proceed to sell me some. All while he was smacking his lunch but I wasn't going anywhere till I got what I came for. Fools classic but an absolute horrible business owner and treats people like something I've never witnessed in a business before. Gonna video it next time for sure read more

Great Selection! Better Service! Every time I go in they always have what I need or will get it for me.

This shop was previously owned and operated by an older man who was impatient, rude, prejudiced and a barrier to acquiring the smoking products and accessories I needed at the time. Recently, a couple different guys started manning the shop, and my oh my, what a difference. They are both VERY considerate, will work with me and whoever else on deals and price within reason, are available to develop sincere shop- to-customer relationships that they can better help/serve us with, and they have changed up a significant amount of their stock that is much better geared towards fulfilling today's smoking needs, across the board. Their prices are competitive, they have excellently selected some of the best products on the market to offer on their shelves, and the overall vibration of the shop has DRAMATICALLY improved. I feel welcome in there. And they are happy to answer any questions that I can come up with, from a knowledge base invaluable in this industry. They have a full on humidor room (I don't smoke cigars but it's so large I couldn't help but notice) and all of the hard to find, fancy cigarettes I like to treat myself to a pack of every once in a while. And honestly, GOOD LUCK finding a pack of cigarettes these days for 6.45$ anywhere else. Seriously. So friendly faces, excellent selection, expert knowledge and contenders in pricing give this spot a much, much much well deserved 5/5, all day boyyyyy!!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! The owner is completely rude and RAISED HIS VOICE when he told me, and i quote, that he "EXPECTS YOU TO ASK THE QUESTION A CERTAIN WAY" i was SHOCKED by this interaction so when I turned around and walked out, he proceeded to YELL, SWEAR, and everything a OWNER should never say to a Customer. Absolutely discreditable!! read more

All things tobacco is what I'm about. From the years of cigar, pipe, cigarette smoking. To the dip, snus and snuff. I'm aging tobacco as part of my private collection. I always held tobacco shops like this in low regard because of the "swisher sweets", "black and mild" connotation and that association with marijuana. Any real tobacconist gets their tobacco from a real shop with a humidor, a couple hundred different types of quality brands are needed and absolutely no association with hookah or water piping. This is no such establishment, but having better than most it's got a little more than a dozen generically blended pipe tobacco's. a few dozen generically blended and bagged cigarette ryo bags, a few dozen tins and pouches of pretty fresh stock. The humidor here is a little higher than mid level on the sliding scale as their inventory doesn't move too much. It's displayed poorly, organized poorly, priced well, but caters to a true cigarette smoker only. I get that e-cigarette's are the future and they get that too which is why they don't carry them and definitely don't' push them. Excellent hours, open well beyond most places, they just have a poor location with minimal traffic. Some features you should look for in a good tobacco shop is they should have a large walk in humidor, a few hundred types and boxes of cigar's, a few dozen types of pipe tobacco, a dozen types of snus, a variety of cigarette's, but not heavily on display, no water pipes, no e-cigarette's, nothing counter culture, high quality and inexpensive briar pipes, a lounge and knowledgeable staff. This is your typical convenience store tobacco bodega. At least they know their papers. read more

Disrespectful for absolutely no reason and incredibly rude. Guy gave me the most disgusted look when I asked to look at some of his pieces and was just passive aggressive the whole time. It was to the point where I felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable. I was pretty mad but I just decided to take the adult route. I apologized to him for the inconvenience and asked him to put the piece I wanted back and left. I may have caught him on a bad day, but a customer is not a punching bag. read more

The owner is disrespectful to his customers the first time, I went there he kind of yell the customer so we ignored it because he might be in the bad mood but today our second time June/ 29/2023 my mom went there to get some lotto and he kind of yells the first customer and the second person is my mom he yells at her and tells her that u put to many numbers on the card you need to fix this several times banging his finger on the counter totally disrespectful the whole time we were there. So we told him that we were never gonna go back there and he got more upset and did not want to give us our tickets back . I told him he was totally unprofessional for an owner to disrespect people like that. Please take your business elsewhere !!!!!! read more

I know y'all lying when you say he's nice cuz he's soooo damn rude. And it wasn't eve. Just to me it was to eveyone is there. Right when I walk in the door he was mad for no reason at all. If you buy something and it doesn't work don't expect him to exchange it. So you might as well save your money and go somewhere else. I would give zero starts if I could. read more

I love this place, I tried the other smoke shops in Oceanside and this one is by far my favorite. The guy who works here is super nice and helpful and can help you find stuff even if you don't know exactly what it's called. Great selection of 'water pipes' and other related materials too. Prices are also better here than I've seen elsewhere. read more

Ok ,, I am giving No stars to be clear.. Yes! this is wasting my time.. I could not allow this rating to pass.! I bought a torch lighter here. I got home lit up a stogie, as im lighting it the torch sprays out some of the fuel and it seriously almost torched my face. Next day I return to this smoke shop and I let him know what happened. Guy says " what you want me do"? I say "well, I would like to upgrade, since a defected lighter, i would like to take the $15 dollars from defected torch and use towards a better quality. He said " No, I not going to do this, your welcome to purchase a new better one. " This Owner of this business tested it himself. He , filled the torch, lit it up and witnessed two times, the torch sent a stream of fuel, then a flame, not a torch, a flame! Then comes back to me and says, "see it is working." And places the lighter in-front of me and walks away to help a customer. Wow! This guy should not be a business owner, or be in any form of people oriented surroundings. He will stay in business, I'm sure, He will never again get my business.... I win! Lol... fkdic read more

Do not buy any of this shop's eCig items. They are all low quality knock-offs. The guy will rip you off. Bought a $50 eCig battery that he told me was a top quality name brand. The actual name brand holds a charge for 14 hours, this guys battery holds a charge for about an hour. Tested using the same tank/liquid combo. His eCig liquids are also very low quality. Do not buy here or listen to the misrepresentation of way overpriced items here. read more

Worst smoke shop I've been to in the COUNTRY! dude sold me a cracked bowl slide and was broken before I even could pull it out of the package. Cheap ass doesn't care about customers. Only wants your money then will screw you over on the cheap products he buys from alibaba. read more

I only gave one star because I had to... This place is a rip off! Do NOT BUY water pipes/ glass from this guy. I bought a "quartz" nail here, the piece melted out on the bottom and I brought it back to show him. He told me there is no refund and that it isn't quartz. He then accused me of breaking it so he would have to avoid replacing a $11 dollar piece! He then parades around the shop showing other people the piece asking their opinion, trying to prove me wrong. I asked the guy why would that bottom piece break and not the whole piece??? He is just a cheap bastard! Bad customer service! Don't trust these guys!!!! read more

It's a very nice, simple smoke shop, with great service great prices on a vast majority of brands and items that you would expect. My local smoke shop for about 15 years. To the most stunningly beautiful and awe inspiring auburn haired goddess that works there: When you greeted me it was as if everything felt not quite normal. I felt stronger, and weaker at the same time. I felt excited and at the same time, terrified. The truth is I didn't know what I felt except that I knew what kind of man I wanted to be. It's as if I reached the unreachable, and wasn't ready for it. Xoxoxo seeya around read more

If this was the review on the owner 5 stars-but the ladies today minus stars- so rude! I have been coming here a few years. When a store advertises that they open at 10:00 AM and you are there at 10:06 AM and they are not open that to me is bad business! This is actually my second time in the past few months stopping by the shop only to find they are closed when they should be open. I am all in favor of supporting the local shop owner but the tardiness in opening is something that a big corporate America shop would not tolerate. You lost a customer. Bad business! read more

I've been going here for long time. I remember they started as a typical "Smoke Shop" - cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, pipes and related accessories.... Slowly by slowly they have added a lot of stuff like Hookahs, Shisha, water pipes, rolling papers, incense, lottery tickets and pocket knives in wide varieties. The newest addition is eCigs and juices and all the related parts at very very reasonable price. The clerk ( I think he is the owner) is very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are great. Hats off to them for staying over 15 years at the same location in this economy... read more

Owner is very RUDE. Have visited sporadically since 2000 and wonder why I go back every time. If you ask him a question he gives a smart ass remark. My suggestion to him is not to be so RUDE and he may get more customers however, this may not help as the products are sub par and have been for 15 years. When I smoked cigs they always seemed stale and don't even try the cigars or you'll ruin your batch with worms, the ecig inventory is 3x retail. Went in yesterday and asked if he sold parts for a very specific ecig tank (kanger protank 3) he says condescendingly "which part?" There's only one part that you replace so Either you do or you don't I don't need your smart remarks, bought it anyway and he popped it out of the plastic pack on to the dirty counter when I went to use it, it lasted less than half the time as normal. Well, it's been 2 years since I've been in and I definitely won't waste my money there again. read more
