What a meal, I had the salad, and the burger and fries, it came with dessert that I had to take it to go because I was so full I couldn't eat anything else. One of the best burgers you will ever get. We had such a great dinner at Outback Steakhouse tonight -- it reminded me why this place is always one of our go-to favorites! I ordered the Alice Springs Chicken with a loaded baked potato, and wow... pure comfort food perfection. The chicken was juicy and flavorful with that cheesy, honey-mustard goodness they're famous for, and the potato was fluffy, buttery, and piled high with all the toppings. Total cozy dinner vibes. My husband had the Steakhouse Salad, which was fresh, hearty, and packed with flavor. We also shared a Bloomin' Onion (because you simply can't come here and not order one!) -- crispy, golden, and gone in minutes. I added a side salad with ranch, and even that tasted super fresh and homemade. But what really made the night special was our server. While I know this is a franchise restaurant chain, and we almost always avoid eating at chains when traveling, we come to Lebanon, TN at least once a year for one reason or other, and this Outback location is walking distance to the hotel where we always stay. Having eaten here multiple times over the last several years, I must say this Outback Steakhouse is by far the most consistent un the food quality, cleanliness, and staff of any we have been to. My wife and I usually get a bone in ribeye medium rare, and whatever appetizer dish we choose at the time, last night was the bloomin fried shrimp. I have never had such bad food at a chain restaurant. We waited over an hour for food and then it came out cold anyway. We paid over $40 for a burger and chicken for 2 of us and it was horrible. Drove up to see the Dancing Lights of Christmas and decided to stop in and eat. Disappointed unfortunately. We started with fried mushrooms which was probably the best part of the meal. Honestly so disappointed with our experience last night. Unsure of who our server was but she never presented herself to us just said "are yall ready?" We didn't have any drinks so assuming she just let us sit with nothing for 7 minutes and then decided to get our entire order at once. She didn't come back to the table on her own my boyfriend had to call her over for ranch. Onto the food portion of our meal we got a steak and a queen shrimp and chicken pasta. The presentation was sad! Small ramekin on sauce for an entire pasta and every bite is nothing but green onion. The amount of green onions on this pasta far exceeded just garnish this felt like whoever was cooking hated their life and just wanted to ruin a good dish. SO MUCH GREEN ONION. I really struggle with this review because I like Outback and this visit was disappointing. We did the check in via the Ap. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We asked for a table and were seated at the bar. Not "usually" a problem, but it is when the Bartender is trying to tend a no empty seats bar, take orders, run food, and also appears she may be training someone??? Sweet tea no lemon, a draft beer and water. Water and tea came out right away. Tea was stale tasting. It took a quite some time for her to return to take our food order (she's tending bar too) and when she returned I requested a sprite to replace the tea. We ordered the prime rib sandwich with no sauces, chicken tenders with fries and house salad with 1000 island. It took quite some time for our appetizers to come out and no ketchup up or honey mustard. It took about 10 mins for someone to realize we were "rubber necking" and Katie came over and got us the correct sauces. As we're eating our Appetizers someone pops around the corner and asks "has this table gotten a salad!" I replied no and she said ok. and left. We finished our appetizers and our food then came out. The runner asked if we needed anything and I stated I had not received my salad. She asked what kind, I said house salad with 1000 island dressing. She comes back with a house salad with honey mustard. I politely say I asked for 1000 island. Katie then came over and took care of it. My chicken and fries are cold now that I've finished my salad. Yes, I could be that person and throw a complete fit, or I could've saved the salad to take home but they put the dressing on the salad and it would be a soggy leftover yuck. Who doesn't love a good steak? I like that Outback is a casual steak place so that we don't have to spend a fortune when we want to go out for one. Pros: -Food is good quality--everything was tasty. No one had any complaints about their steak or food. My favorite thing was probably the raspberry new york cheesecake or the potato soup. I enjoy when a steakhouse really excels at the other items on the menu besides just the steak! -The pricing of what we ordered were great deals. Cons: -They had "run out" of spoons and served the soup with plastic spoons. I have never seen a restaurant run out of a utensil and have to use plastic utensils before. -The waitress we had was definitely a little strange. She kept forgetting to bring one person their water and the meal I ordered was supposed to include a beer with the price of the 6 oz steak dinner I got but she said the beer I picked wasn't "covered" even though the menu didn't say anything about limitations. I forgot just how amazing their food is! My husband had the filet mignon and I had the blooming chicken. We were both very impressed with our delicious choices. Even more impressive, they have a gluten free menu! The gluten free brownie dessert was incredible. I would've taken a picture of it, but we ate it so fast. It came with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. I tried a few of their drinks. The pina "koala" was very good, but the margarita flight was my favorite.
