So, with my wife being out of town trying to figure out what to have for dinner one night. I was craving a salad with some steak on top so I figured I would give Outback a chance. After looking over the menu, they do offer a steakhouse salad for $19.99 however, the steak is a center-cut sirloin which would not be my first choice. I would prefer a ribeye, but you can't just swap out the steak type. The waitress, Christine, suggested I order a steak of my choice, and then make a larger salad both of my sides. So, my salad was bigger than the normal side and yet didn't cost extra because it came with the steak as two of my sides. I felt it was a clever solution to my dilemma. I got a good size salad with a steak that I wanted which ended up being a Delmonico ribeye, which is a new item on their menu according to what it says. The ambience most people were seated at or around the bar area and when I arrived, it took a couple minutes before someone saw me up at the greeting podium. I asked her to seat me away from the bar area and she ended up seating me right on the other side of the partition of the bar area right in front of the kitchen. Which is better than being seated in front of the bathroom. but there is a lot of foot traffic with the weight staff going in and out of the kitchen and having to loudly good grief, yell the word "corner!" when going in and out to warn others to avoid a collision. I would've preferred to be seated further away to a more isolated spot. They were certain plenty of tables to choose from, showing that they were really, not all that busy on a Thursday night. My steak was cooked as ordered, which was medium rare and the flavor was pretty good and relatively tender. I do like their blue cheese vinaigrette dressing on the salad, I even asked Christina if I could get a side of croutons so I could add them and she obliged. I feel like many many years ago the croutons used to be different and were really just cut up pieces of their house bread and they changed them at some point. overall, it's a decent experience. after my tip, my order was $49 even. The Delmonico alone was $33. I could've easily spent that much on lower quality fast food which these days is no longer a cheap option. they're a little kiosk at the table advertised a deal where you can get one adult entrée dine-in and then pay 10 more dollars for another whole order to take home. I didn't see any fine print on the ad about any restrictions of what to order which would be shocking because you could order something very expensive on the menu for $10 imagine getting another whole steak and lobster tail add-on for just $10. I'm sitting here this morning with my coffee and breakfast, reflecting on my birthday dinner, which was an absolute train wreck. I received an Outback Steakhouse gift card from my employer for my birthday. It is Friday night; my wife and I rarely go out to dinner due to the economic downturn many of us face. We shake off the working day blahs and head out for a celebratory dinner. I should have checked the reviews before choosing this location, but I wasn't convinced it was necessary. This place has been here alongside Carraba's for years. We arrived and proceeded through the doors, and my situational awareness immediately noticed the restaurant was not busy for a Friday night. The bar area had the most attendees, and maybe six tables in the dining area were in use. I peeked out at the outdoor dining area and saw just one couple present. We were seated and presented with our menus. Our server arrived to take our appetizer and drink orders and then fiddled with this large-faced electronic menu, which was a massive distraction as it glared brightly in my direction while I was trying to hold conversations with my wife. I finally grabbed it and laid it face-down on the shelf beside me. We bypassed the appetizers as nothing appealed to us and placed our orders; the server brought out a small loaf of bread and what was equivalent to a tablespoon of butter for the entire loaf of bread. I dispensed it to the end and waited for the server to return and request a butter replenishment. As mentioned earlier, the restaurant wasn't busy, and we could observe all the servers just congregating in the kitchen doorways. By this time, 40 minutes had elapsed, and we hadn't yet received our first course of salads and soups. It would not have been easy to make room for our meals and sides with the small table if everything had come out at once. We tried to get our server's attention to no avail; she was in deep conversation with her colleagues. When the server finally came to the table, we asked for a manager and expressed our concerns. When the manager arrived, we expressed our concerns, she looked into our concerns. Our soups and salads arrived after the extensive wait, and as dreadful expected, our meals with sides arrived, crowding the table. We maneuvered to the best possible solution and tried to enjoy our meal. The first issue we found was the potato soup; you can look at it and see it was grayish and watery; one spoonful was enough. It wasn't enjoyable. If your clientele can see a problem, a trained chef/cook should be able to identify the issue before serving it. Let me just make this one Point of view: This is Outback Steakhouse, with an emphasis on Steak being your featured dish. The sirloin that was cooked Medium Rare has to have been the worst cut of meat I have ever attempted to eat, where is Gordon Ramsay when you need him. It was tough and chewy and unpleasant. The manager stopped by and asked how it was going, and I was at a loss for words. She said that she saw my body language and expressions. At that point, I voiced my opinion and surrendered my meal as it was not up to my expectation. She asked if I would like something else, and by this time, I had already had enough of the tomfoolery, so I politely declined. She insisted, and I said I had lost my appetite with all that had occurred; while awkward, my wife continued with her meal as we tried to salvage the night. The manager returned to the table, again expressing her apologies, and then stated that the meals were comped and handed us a gift card for our troubles. I truthfully will not return to this location. We gathered our items and proceeded to depart when my wife said," It was an odd situation leaving without even tipping the server." My reply was that we can't give out participation trophies; tips are only for exemplary service. First of all, the steak and our server, Christina, was great. She's very professional! My daughter and I both ordered drinks and they were good as well. I would have given five stars, but whenever we came in, the restaurant was very slow. We sat and waited for the hostess to greet us. She was not at the stand (or podium) We don't mind sitting and waiting if they are very busy, but like I said, there wasn't hardly anyone in there. When she finally came upfront, she was VERY cold and dismissive, and acted like we were bothering her. It kind of put a damper on what could have been a very fun night. We all noticed her demeanor and did not appreciate it. Outback is a wonderful restaurant and usually our go-to whenever we want to celebrate and get really good food. Trying to keep it an upbeat attitude, we decided to not "speak to the manager "and let it go at that time, but I thought that I would leave a review to let management know about her poor attitude... because we couldn't help but wonder why a fabulous restaurant (Outback) would have someone like that employed with them. Talk about a bad experience. 3 of 4 steaks were sent back for being over cooked one was a blue rare porterhouse steak, we received a medium t-bone steak. Either outback is ordering t-bone and serving them as porterhouses, or their supplier is providing the t-bone and telling them they are porterhouses. Either way a chef should know the difference in cuts. Don't serve me shit and tell me it's a rose. Even winn Dixie sells better porterhouses than that. You don't go to a restrauntbl to spend money on low grade meats with bad preparation. I'll stick to longhorn from now on. At least they know what a porterhouse is supposed to look like. We ordered food to pickup. I got the trio appetizer (Bloomin' Onion, Boomerang Mozzarella, and Aussie Fries). Bloomin' Onion was either over-fried or refried. It was terrible. The Boomerang Mozzarella was subpar at best. The Aussie Fries had no bacon... just cheese. Also, terrible. My wife got the Alice Springs Chicken. It was supposed to have everything on it. There were no mushrooms. The chicken was overcooked and dry. We went to Outback nearly a year ago and had a horrendous experience. Decided to give them another chance. Sad to say they've made zero improvements in that time. I don't know how this location has stayed open. read more

I would give this Outback zero stars if I could. Table and seats were dirty and had to move chairs out of my way to even sit down. We ordered everything right away. Drinks, appetizer and food order at the same time. Bread and drinks were brought out but no plates. The butter looked like it was whipped and had no flavor. Next our appetizer (cheese fries) once again no plates. Had to eat directly off of the main dish and share the same ranch. Our meals took forever to come, nearly 45 minutes after ordering. After setting down the plates the server tells us they are out of mashed potatoes. My husband then gets a loaded baked potato. What I liked most about my most recent experience here was the attentiveness of my waitress Kayla. She was extremely efficient with making sure the tables needs were taken care of. I ordered the same drink twice but it tasted completely different the second time around making it a wasted purchase even after an attempt to fix it was made. The steak was overly salted to the point that as I'm writing this an hour+ later I can still taste salt after just a small bite of it. The salad was good, the baked potato had tasteless fake bacon bits on it with dried out green onion. The steak was salty and tasteless. The coconut shrimp was good. Joined the waiting list online to be there by 7. There was still a small wait but I was able to let my service animal walk around while waiting. Our server was great. Brought the bread and salad before the drinks though. Had to wait a bit to get entrees but everything else was great. They had a surf n tail combo I did. I ordered the 8 oz center cut sirloin, made rare, and a lobster tail. I ordered mashed potatoes and a salad for my sides. I had water and strawberry lemonade to drink. My daughter had chicken tenders and fruit with sprite. My friend ordered the Victoria filet with loaded mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The bloomin onions were ok, a little to salty, and certain parts were overbreaded. The ribs though were delicious; good flavor, tender and falling off the bone. I was being lady like and only ate two of the four ribs lol, the last two I brought home. Date seemed to enjoy his meal and devoured it all. But overall, it's another chain restaurant and nothing too spectacular. I'd probably just come back for the ribs, and maybe the bloomin onions if they are not salty. This was my first time ordering the filet and the lobster at Outback and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! I requested all items be cooked without any butter so I wasn't sure how much that would impact the flavor, but it truly didn't at all. This was actually the most tender filet I've ever had and it was still packed with flavor despite the no butter request. The lobster tail was also pretty tasty and perfectly steamed. Last night was date night and we decided to go to Outback steak house.... We only had a 10 min wait before we were seated.. The hostess was very nice and offered us drinks from the bar while we waited... We ordered Aussie run punch and berry blast, which was delicious so we ordered round 2 of those drinks. For appetizers we had the Outback cheese fries( so good) they are my favorite appetizer there.. main course my son had kids chicken fingers and fries and he devoured his meal. My husband had 12 oz steak with shrimp with fries and mixed veggies for his sides. He enjoyed it so much he did have any left overs..
