    Flounder and shrimp with fries
    Sylvia W.

The restaurant didn't look very inviting on the inside. We had to wait to be seated and it wasn't crowded. The waitress did a good job. The wait time for the food was about 20 minutes. It came out hot and correct. The crab crake was not tasty. They didn't look presentable. They tasted like batter, I couldn't taste any crab meat. The fish and shrimp tasted ok. They were bland, no seasoning. I probably will not visit again.

The food was ok but the restaurant smelled bad. The floor was sticky. The waitress was friendly and the service was fast.

With seating at the bar we were served right away by a pleasant women who worked with us our entire stay. We started with the fish dip which was very good. A bit more cream cheese than I normally like but was still very good. Also had the Crab Savannah soup which is like a tomato based she crab soup, excellent!! For our entrees my wife had the Poke' Bowl with seared tuna. Asked for medium rare but got more to a medium color (gray) but the veggies that it came with were fresh, flavorful & crisp! For my self I had the oyster poor boy which was huge! Plenty of oysters and cooked just right. The remoulade sauce had a nice flavor and the veggies also were fresh & crisp. The ambience is more like a warehouse feel but I'm ok with that kind of atmosphere. In talking with our server Sunday's is there busiest day. So, if coming on a Sunday get there early or pack some patience as the food was very good & worth the trip. Thank you for a nice time! We'll be back!!

On my first visit (a Wednesday), I waited over an hour just to be seated....only to find out they were completely out of oysters for the week. That was frustrating, especially after such a long wait. I decided to give them another shot this past Wednesday, hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, it didn't improve. This time, I was told that oysters can no longer be prepared a certain way because it's considered a "special order." Instead, you're limited to however they choose to serve them.....either raw or lightly steamed. For a seafood spot, that's a bit surprising. Most people have a preference when it comes to oysters, and being told you can't customize your order feels restrictive. After speaking with the manager, she did agree to accommodate my request this one time (for one or two dozen), but also made it clear that moving forward, it wouldn't be allowed. That response didn't sit well with me....it gave the impression that customer preferences aren't really a priority. Between the long wait times, limited availability, and lack of flexibility with orders, I left feeling unpleased and unsatisfied. At this point, I'm not sure if I'll be returning.

I've always had a great experience eating at North Beach Fish Camp. Downstairs is usually crowded,…read moreso my favorite place to eat is upstairs. Even if the restaurant is packed, you can usually get a spot at the bar to eat. And if you sit upstairs, you get a nice view out of the windows. They have different specials all the time, and on our last visit, they had fried crab claws with a yummy dipping sauce. On this last visit, we just had drinks and appetizers, but on previous visits, I've tried a lot of the fish dishes on the menu and have liked them all. They also have good hush puppies. Their mixed drinks are good as well. I can't remember the names of the two I tried (in the photos), but they were refreshing. My husband had an espresso martini, but instead of vodka, he had them make it with the O'Kahan Agave Mezcal Purple Heart, which is something you have to ask for. It's a different twist on the usual espresso martini. Overall, it's good food in a good spot right on the corner in the Beaches Town Center. Never been disappointed and have been eating there for years.

Parking will cost you (think it was $8 for 3 hours) but there's plenty of parking options. The restaurant sits on the corner and faces towards the beach (although you can't see the beach). It was pretty packed inside and a reservation is recommended. I liked the busy atmosphere. We started with a modelo and oysters. There were some beers on tap they ran out of for the evening. The oysters were good, but shall we than I expected. I opted for their snapper special: pan seared over jasmine rice with string green beans and a nice sauce underneath. It came out looking like a 5 star meal and tasted as such. One of the best red snapper entrees I've had!. It's hard not to give 5 stars when the fish is this amazing! Our waitress was also on point and there when we needed her. I hope to be back here again and would recommend!

I'm sad. I'm sad this place isn't in St Augustine, or have a location closer to St Augustine…read more Ever since I discovered this place, I try to add it in when I'm in the area. Unfortunately, I'm not in the area that much, and only once did I make the journey just to come here. What is the draw, you may ask? Great beer, great food, great atmosphere, great vibes! , That said, every meal I have had here has been delicious. The beer is pretty darn good & cold too! Of course, with the long drive...ya gotta limit it. But it's worth it for anything on the menu. I don't know where to start food-wise, I am trying to eat my way around the menu. The gator tail and fish dip are two of my favorites for small bites/appetizers. The Elk burger, the Taphouse burger, and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich are always amazing....and then there's the cole slaw...yummy! Delicious food, and they have more than just sandwiches. The menu offers a little something different. The atmosphere and vibe are always inviting, and the staff is super friendly. The prices are fair, portions are ample, and there is plenty of parking. The decor is fun too! Not to mention, they give a veteran discount with proof of ID. What more can you ask for? Well, I know what I can ask for! To the owners: pretty please, with sugar on top, consider opening a location in St. Augustine. Not in the downtown area, but the folks north of town need something; they need you! Around the Palencia & Kensington area, off US 1 to be exact...or anywhere nearby in that area. The folks there would love something they can walk to, ride bikes to, maybe even use a golf cart to get to...and yes, a short drive is good too. Jus' sayin'! Please just check it out...I said pretty please!

When having my boyfriend and his momma pick me up after a work trip to have a weekend to visit…read morethem, they suggested this location for lunch before we made the drive back to Eustis where she lives. They had mentioned seeing some good Yelp reviews, and the menu looked intriguing. I had already had breakfast at a great locally owned place, so my appetite was smaller. What We Ordered: - Oyster Po Boy: my boyfriend and his momma split this, and they both said it was okay though they HATED the gumbo. Very unfortunate as when splitting they had to pay for an additional portion of it. - Blackened Mahi Sandwich: this was recommended by our waitress who started out fantastic, but ultimately disappeared after food delivered so I went without a drink for quite some time. I did eat enough a portion of mine before running out of coke, so I had to pause eating as I need a liquid as I eat. I had split this with my boyfriend, so he enjoyed his fully warm. Mine was good for those first few bites, and really enjoyed the fries. They remind me of the filmstrip fries you can get in Disney's California Adventure. - Coke + Lime: if the machine is calibrated, this is always a win for me! It definitely made a travel day better. Sadly, between the waitress being inattentive after the food was delivered and there being quite the unsavory show being played, this was a miss for me. Who plays Steve Wilkos in a restaurant? It's the modern day Jerry Springer show. I just find that baffling to be quite honest, though we did get a chuckle at it while I waiting desperately for a refill so I could eat the remaining portion of my meal.
