I was to the Outback in Westlake several weeks ago and ordered the small Ribeye done Medium Rare. After waiting a good 45 minute, it came out medium well. Sent it back. Second time it was medium. I said forget it. Manager gave me 2 $20 gift cards. Went to the one in Independence yesterday. Explained my last experience to the server. I ordered, again the Ribeye but with lobster this time. Meal came and I ate the Lobster first, DELICIOUS! I cut into steak, perfect Medium Rare, however a little difficult to cut, and even harder to chew. Tried cutting it in the center, same result . Server came back over to check on us. Told her it was hard to cut and chew. Her response? I let it sit too long!! Seriously??? They give me a poor cut of meat, and it's MY fault?? Located off Rockside along I-77 this was a halfway meeting place for my girl friend for our birthdays. And we went in a snow storm on a Sunday. Wasn't crowded so we had top notched service. Menu has a variety. This is not a cheap restaurant, but not extreme, and our meals were delicious. Our dinners included a potato and a side. We chose the creamy baked potato soup. I took mine to go. Was yummy for lunch the next day. My entree was a 6 oz. sirloin steak and Bloomin' fried chicken for $25. There is also an 8 oz. option. The steak was medium rare and the fluffy breaded flat breast was just right. The loaded baked potato was outstanding and I took half home. Complimentary birthdays desserts we took To Go. I questioned going when I saw low yelp reviews, but thought I'll still give it a try. I ordered ahi tuna, the waitress returned and jet me know last ahi had just been sold. I switched to salmon. I ordered the blooming onion about 8 minutes prior to my salmon, but lo and behold my blooming onion, salad and salmon arrived almost simultaneously. I went to pay my bill at the table to see both salmon and ahi was still in my bill, I informed the waitress, 15 minutes later the bill was finally corrected. read more

I tried to take my daughter and granddaughters out for dinner this evening. y did I choose this place. I guess trying to think positive that this would be a good place to have dinner. (Not$&@?!) to sum up our experience when we got there we were seated right away, but however, our food did not come out until I don't know when but we left after one hour maybe 20 minutes later still not receiving our food ....Our server Frankie was very polite and nice. He did his best to keep checking on our table to see if we received our order(as we did NOT), kudos to him even gave him a little tip for just his professionalism. Having two small children and waiting that long for our meals/orders was absurd thank God my children are well behaved. Just going to be honest. Servers are at best slightly below average when it comes to customer service. I have eaten here twice and never got my drinks refilled. This evening, the host kept greeting everyone with "I'm ready to get out of here." Every guest in front of me. Unheard of and unprofessional. Who wants to start what should be a great dinning experience with a greeting like that? Despite that, he at least "All Sad Face" guided us to our table and seated us. It was at least 10 minutes later when our waitress greeted us, without a smile. She did present a kind and warm greeting and informed us that the menu was updated with new dishes. We placed our drink order and it was another 10 minutes until she returned with those. We placed our food order with requested accommodations, and she advised his she was leaving the table to go enter our order. 15 minutes later she brought the cheese fries I ordered to the table. They were good, just not pipping hot. 15 minutes after this, she returned to the table to let myself and a fellow dining companion know they were out of the quesadilla bread and will not be able to customize them because they are pre-made. If they are pre-made how is there no bread? And why are we just being told this 30 minutes after we placed the order? She said the manager that could help us with refunds or other compensation is not at work today and would have to return later or the next day. Only one of the "other managers" were present but likely could not do anything about refunds. At this point NOT A SINGLE DRINK was refilled since we started ordering! We asked to speak to the other managers. 5 minutes passed this I get my steak quesadilla. Again, tasted great, but was not piping hot. One of my fellow dining companions wanted to cancel his order at this point. They brought the spinach dip he order right then. Still no drink refills. 15 minutes later someone that said they were a manager came to the table just as my other dining companion's steak was being brought to the table. The waitress had super long finger nails that touched the food as the "manager" took it from her and placed it on the table in front of him. She greeted us with an attitude that said to us "I do not care". We all just looked at the stake and then at her in disbelief. We stopped our friend from touching the steak and told the manager this is not acceptable for food to be handled like this and we refused the steak. We asked for a refund. She kept signing and huffing rudely giving us all kinds of excuses other than "Let me help you with that". For a "manager", this is one of the most unprofessional experiences and attitudes I have ever seen. She later returned to give us gift cards, but she continued to have a poor attitude. read more

Hubby and I do not go to chain restaurants and this experience solidify exactly why we don't. His grandmother wanted a blooming onion from Outback. So we took her to dinner at Outback. We ordered the onion as an appetizer, it took forever to come out. The onion wasn't cut straight so one side of the onion was burnt and the other side wasn't cooked long enough. For the entrees my husband ordered a ribeye, which was cooked perfectly but had no seasoning. I ordered the chicken fingers which was almost $18 and got 4 tiny chicken fingers.... Grandma ordered a loaded baked potato. The appetizer took forever to come out and the entrees took even longer. Looking around the restaurant there weren't very many people in there to justify the wait for the food. Finally our waiter came over and told us there was a large catering order and the kitchen was backed up. But that would have been nice to know up front, instead of after we waited for like 30 minutes. Seriously disappointed in this outback since I go to so many outbacks in the Cleveland area. I was seated right away and it wasn't long before the waitress appeared but unlike the other Outbacks that automatically ask you if you want bread, she took my drink order And then after she brought the drink order, she wanted to know if I wanted bread. the next time she appeared at my table was to ask for my order which all I really wanted was the 6 ounce lunch steak medium well. The next time she appeared was to check on the "new" salad I ordered. Now this particular salad came with blue cheese and blue cheese dressing, which I detest so I asked for ranch dressing and no Blue cheese. It appeared with both and it looked like a nice salad but not what I ordered. They replaced it and made good. however, the second salad was a smaller SIDE SALAD. No mixed greens. all iceberg lettuce. It didn't have any red cabbage, no Aussie crunch, no green onions,,, like, seriously?? Now waiting 21 minutes for my 6 ounce medium well sirloin steak. And of course, I see someone that was seated after me that got her salad, soup, baked potato AND her steak already, what is up with all this today?? It's now 26 minutes and I have no 6 ounce steak on a plate. Server came over --I don't know why it's taking so long. I said neither do I --I said make sure it's cooked, put in a to go bag, i need to leave. She must've told the assistant manager whoever this woman was, but she came out ready to argue not listen to my woes, apologize and fix it. I heard her do this with a couple two tables over as well . I can see why almost all the reviews are one star for this location. Best part of this visit was the server who was attentive and apologetic ---none of this was her fault... I love outback but for some reason on this trip I booked a reservation for my brother birthday and we get there on time was sat within 10 mins and not approached by any staff for about what 40mins. People came in behind us sat right next to us 25mins into the wait, had food served and we still had not even received water. When I approached someone about it they went to get the manger the manager then told me I've only be waiting 40mins. Myself I'm a server so I stated that's understandable but steps of service if your aren't able to take my order the least you can do is greet with water and express that. Never received bread till the entree's. The food was great but the nonchalant replies I received from the manger about the wait and the fact that I'm asking for water was out of control. After a customer is seated. And you know you don't have time to server them drop off water at least. And what makes it worse is even after asking the manager for water we still didn't get it till after the appetizers came out. Outback Steakhouse is a prime example of a restaurant that has long overstayed its welcome. From the moment you walk in, the outdated and generic décor screams chain restaurant, offering nothing to enhance the dining experience. The vibe is loud and crowded, with zero attention paid to ambiance. If you're looking for a peaceful meal or any sort of unique atmosphere, you'll be sorely disappointed. The noise level is unbearable, and it feels more like a cafeteria than a place to enjoy a meal. The food is, unfortunately, no better than the environment. For a steakhouse, the steaks are appalling -- dry, overcooked, and lacking in any real flavor. Even if you order a steak cooked to your specifications, there's a solid chance it will be ruined by poor preparation. The sides are equally disappointing; bland, flavorless, and cold mashed potatoes and under seasoned vegetables that seem like they were thrown together with no thought or care. The infamous Bloomin' Onion, which is meant to be a signature dish, is an oily, greasy mess of over-battered onion with hardly any substance beneath it. It's an embarrassment to what should be a highlight of the meal. And then there's the bread, which is somehow worse than the rest of the offerings. Hard, dry, and devoid of any real flavor, it's just a sad attempt at serving something "complementary." Even the butter, which should at least be a bright spot, falls flat with its overly sweet taste. It's as though they don't understand that quality matters, and they simply slap together whatever they can to call it "food." For the price, Outback is an absolute rip-off. The portions are small, but not in a good way. The meals feel cheap and mass-produced, not worth the cost they charge. When you add in the watered-down drinks and subpar service, it becomes clear that you're paying for a name, not a quality dining experience. There are plenty of other places where you can get a far better meal at a much better price, without the feeling of regret that comes after dining here. In the end, Outback Steakhouse is a relic of a bygone era, desperately clinging to a reputation that it no longer deserves. The food is subpar at best, the atmosphere is uncomfortable, and the value simply isn't there. You can do far better at almost any other restaurant, making Outback Steakhouse a place to avoid entirely. We frequent different Outbacks in the area, however, the proprietor does not care about the consumer. We order Kookaburra wings and they all came out dark and very salty. When we asked about them, we were told if they replaced them they would come out the same. So, we waited for the rest of our food to come out and an hour later nothing! They cancelled our whole order because we complained about the wings being g too salty. The previous proprietor would've come to the table, apologized, and did whatever he could to make our dining experience better. This Independence, Ohio Outback is horrible! If I could give zero stars to this Outback Steakhouse, I would. This was the worse excuse for an Outback Steakhouse that I have ever experienced. My friend and I went for an early dinner. It appeared that there were several workers available since they had all congregated at a table when we walked in. There were hardly any other customers and we felt we would be served right away. We had an exceptionally long wait for a server to acknowledge us and to order water and wine. A longer wait occurred when the server returned to advise us that they were out of the wine we ordered. He sent for the bartender to come to our table to assist. However, the bartender could not answer any questions that we had. He said he would send someone else. After settling for a glass of something instead of a bottle and waiting, again, too long for any service, we left the restaurant and went next door to Bonefish Grill. How hard is it to get two glasses of water to start? Another table which came after us did the same thing after experiencing the same lack of service. It is no wonder this site gets 2.2 rating. For an Outback Steakhouse? This would normally not be acceptable by a large chain restaurant. Hard to believe they are still in business. read more

I only get the Outback style, seasoned and seared, prime rib at Outback. I usually thoroughly enjoy it although the taste, done ness and even size can vary from visit to visit. The house salad with the slightly spicy ranch dressing is better than any restaurant I've been to. The quality and amount of mashed potatoes has gone down in recent months. Lastly, the hostess at the front desk spoke very softly and was difficult to understand. My soup had no topping in it and I paid for extra topping ! If I could give this location 0 stars I would. Came to this Outback last year and it was fantastic. Went yesterday and it was a whole different story. Place was dirty. Hostess was unfriendly and acted like we were bothering her. The high chair we asked for had crumbs all over it, no one had wiped it off or anything. We had overheard the table getting up and leaving without receiving their food. Service was alright. Server asked for refills once. Food took about 25 minutes to come out. Food was appalling. Absolutely DISGUSTING. The blooming onion we ordered was smaller than it used to be. I ordered the ribeye and it was the worst steak I've ever seen. It looked like it had sat under the heat lamp for a while. The consistency was SNOT. It was disgusting. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were alright. My husbands Outback ribeye was the same situation. It was gross and had the consistency of snot. It also looked like it sat under the heat lamp. My mother and law and mother both were dissatisfied with their steaks. They said it had no flavor. For a place that's supposed to be known for their great steaks it was disappointing to say the least. All and all for a 200 dollar was DEFINITELY not worth the price. Ordered togo for an UberEats pick up for Two BIG Bowl Strawberry Salads with grilled chicken for $18.99 each. You would think for that price you would get a large dinner salad and chicken. Unfortunatley, we received portions that sampled a "SIDE" salad and 3.2 oz of overcooked grilled chicken. When I called to complain, they said they will make two more salads but to bring the two back that were delivered!!! what!!! first off, I had ubereats because I was on Teams calls from 11-5pm ; I had no way to get there and back to pick up or drop off a salad that they did not prepare according to the description. Secondly, the manager was in a meeting and the host indicated if I wanted a refund, I would have to bring the salads back or they can make me two more. I had my nephew take the salads back and was expecting a better experience, NOT!! What we received was iceberg lettuce with one leaf of arugula, two strawbery slices (slices!) and some crumbled pecans. Extremely disappointing and will not support this chain again. I visited during the COVI-19 quarantine. After days of driving past after work I stopped. I've had a taste for their blooming onion. The inside is currently closed and they are only doing carry out, located on the side of the building. You are not able to go in, but the lady working was very fast to come out to see if you were picking up or placing an order. While I was waiting I saw a gentleman cleaning the door and handle. Even though customers couldn't go in, they were still sanitizing. They were very fast with the order. She even offered to put it in my back seat for me if I wanted. The onion was great. Only downfall was by the time I got it home, the steam made the breading a little soggy. But I also drive about 10 miles home. Great service and the lady was very pleasant given the situation. There were a few cars that came while I was there and she was on top of all of them. I went 4/2 around 4:30pm. Wish I got her name. She deserves praise. Highly recommended. read more

This was my first time ordering through uber eats. I wasn't sure of how the process was. I received my food on time. I ordered the filet mignon, lobster, baked potato. I also ordered the steak and shrimp Alfredo. My bowels have been running for 2 days, and my stomach keeps cramping. I'm so disappointed. I spent so much money only to get sick. The best part of the meal was the baked potato, the bread, and the salad. I'm not sure that I'll have food delivered. SAD.... The once-mighty franchise has fallen to the depths of disgrace. Haven't been in a long while but a gift card brought us back for one more try. We arrive to a nearly empty restaurant and are told the computers are down, so the dining experience will be slow. Having time on our hands and really wanting to burn the gift card, we stayed. Actually the time worry wasn't warranted. Yes, it was slow, but not abnormally so. But the food was....oy. My sirloin was 50 percent chewed/spit back. I encountered so much toughness, there was cartilage that literally looked like twine. And a pasta dish was overcooked to near mush. If the prices weren't bad enough (23 bucks apiece) I was charged 4 bucks for a side that was supposed to be included with the entree. It, too, was lifeless in taste. Needless to say, without a gift card I would have blown a gasket with the manager. But I'm sure they know by now that this enterprise is a sinking ship, so we just left in sorrowful silence, knowing we'll never return. read more

The actual host told us it would be a 30 min wait - and 90% of the tables/booths were open, and appeared she wanted us to leave. The disappointment when we said we would wait was evident. So 6 min later when were seated at a table and we asked for a booth we were declined. Meanwhile there is a booth that is literally two feet away that was just seated.
