Having a cocktail in a dry county is special but those crispy, tender strips of zucchini were even more special, like no other fried zucchini I've ever had! The house salads arrived shortly after the appetizer and they were loaded with goodies for being the lagniappe (Cajun word used for side dish). Entree's arrived just as we finished our salads, perfect timing, and were perfect! I had the ultimate shrimp platter so I could try three of the shrimp and all three were delicious. Hubby's steak was cooked perfect temp and the blackened seasoning was nice and spicy. Service from Russel was top notch, he was super attentive and very kind. We'll become regulars for sure as we'll be in the area for awhile. Can't wait to try the crab cake and so many other things on the expansive menu.

I ordered that and was asked if I wanted a glass with it and I said no that I preferred to drink out of the bottle. Well, in a few minutes, another server brought my wife's glass of wine and my beer IN A GLASS! I distinctly ordered my beer in the bottle, but I decided to drink it anyway since the restaurant was so busy. After a few sips I noticed an odd taste that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Almost a soapy taste. When our server came for our order, I brought his attention to the beer being in a glass and not how I ordered. He said that he would correct it. He took our order, we both ordered the Ribeye cooked medium. When it came time for our salads, my wife had hers promptly but mine wasn't. We had to remind our server twice before my salad arrived, but it came about 2 minutes before our steaks. So naturally because of the size of the table we were at, I couldn't eat my salad. (We were at a small table for 2) Just as I thought that things would be better, my steak was so chewy that I couldn't enjoy it. We ordered 3 glasses of red wine and an iced tea. We also went ahead and ordered an appetizer and our entrees. Quite a bit later they walked out with 3 glasses of white wine. We pointed out on the menu the wine we ordered and she took the menu with her and began looking through bottles. After a while she came back and said they didn't have it so we ordered a different wine. More waiting then the brought the 3 glasses of red. We had to ask about the iced tea. When it came it was full to the top with room temperature tea and no ice!!! Had to ask for that to be served with ice. While waiting for another lengthy time period for the appetizer (they don't serve bread or anything) we actually considered leaving! Eventually the appetizer came. After finishing that we were in for another long wait. 3 of us ordered the duck and a filet was the other order. In the mean time a few people came in and were turned away so there were still only 3 tables occupied. When we finally got our food my husband's steak was cold! It had probably been sitting up there for ever waiting for the duck to be ready! The only thing I can say good about the experience is that the duck was good but in no way worth the frustration. The staff frequently encourages me to try the coffee, and I have now given it seven or eight chances, both while eating at the restaurant and by stopping in specifically for a drink. Each time, I'm told that it is unusual or given a reason why it happened, but after experiencing the same issue repeatedly, it no longer feels like an occasional problem. Even when they have been able to make my drink, the quality has been disappointing. Some drinks have tasted watery, while others have had a noticeably sour espresso taste, as though the shot was not pulled correctly. I have continued returning because I enjoy the restaurant and really wanted to give the coffee side a fair chance, but after seven or eight disappointing experiences, I cannot recommend it for coffee. I hope they are able to improve the consistency and keep the necessary ingredients stocked because the restaurant itself has so much potential. :(
