Not all you can eat... it's "eat all you can and then they charge you for the rest."…read more We tried Osaka Sushi in Conway because the $30 all-you-can-eat menu sounded like a good deal. Before ordering, I specifically asked how it worked and was told you just order whatever you want for the flat price. At no point did anyone clearly explain they would add extra charges if you didn't finish every bite of food. When the bill came, they suddenly tried charging us an extra $15 because of leftover food. I told the waitress I was not paying an undisclosed fee that was never properly explained beforehand. Instead of handling it professionally, she became rude and argumentative. On top of that, the food itself was honestly some of the worst sushi and Japanese food I've had in Conway. Service was incredibly slow, which made even less sense considering there were only two tables in the entire restaurant. After a long back-and-forth, they finally removed the charge, but the entire experience was uncomfortable, misleading, and not worth it. I won't be going back.

I've lived in Conway for 3 years now and assumed UMAMI was strictly a sushi place and I'm not a fan of sushi so I never payed much mind to it but my wife loves sushi so I figured I'd bite the bullet and take her here and surely I'd find something to hold me over. To my surprise they had the same lunch and dinner options as all the other Japanese Hibachi restaurants. The food quality was without question better than the others. My wife loved her Sushi and I was more than happy with my Hibachi Chicken lunch. This is our new go-to spot for Sushi & Hibachi.

The shrimp salad is worth a try. The broccoli salad was bizarre, but I kinda like it... almost like it had cool whip in it. They had a whole bunch of different yummy chicken options. So the one negative is that they only had one beef options... pepper steak... it was awesome. I actually took the steak and added it to some chicken dishes. I had one dessert that tasted like an instant cappuccino that I really liked. They also had a ton of ice cream choices and they're good! The place is quiet and has a good ambiance for a buffet; definitely going back. Cost about $15 per person. Changes price based on time of day or weekend. Wasn't a fan of the kimchi. Oh I forgot. Most of the time my food was good. I love their large Sushi selection they offer here. I usually try to get their healthy options. Some of their food you can tell has been under the heated lamp too long. They do offer plenty of seating here. Outside parking is large, shared with other businesses. Overall, I'd have to say food here can be hit or miss. But I still come here. Mainly because their Sushi Bar has great selection. I also enjoy that they offer other healthy options that are non-fried or greasy.
