Free Bloomin Onion on Monday's
Michael S.

Wife, son-in-law, Josh, grandson, Bo and myself visited at 2pm for Josh and Bo's birthday. There are lots of tables to eat at when you come between meals. Jessie was our friendly, helpful server. We started with bread and FREE Bloomin Onion which was a special between 16-19 January. I ordered a new item, Canberra Chopped steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Wife ordered Lunch size Alice Springs chicken with Ceasar Salad. Bo ordered full rack of Ribs and Aussie fries. Josh ordered steak and lobster tail with asparagus and Brussel sprouts. Everyone enjoyed their food and we shared a little bit also. Bo and Josh took some leftovers home for their momma/wife. My chopped steak sauce had a definite wine flavor if that is your thing.

We went to Outback tonight for the first in a long time for both of us. It's a Thursday night & we arrived around 6:30pm. We had no issues with parking & were able to grab a spot right out front. We were greeted & seated as soon as we walked in. Our booth was clean. Our waitress was very kind, tentative, & friendly. We ordered the Sweet Sriracha Chicken Bites to start. They were delicious and the fried peppers were even better. We split the salmon dinner with a Caesar salad & seasonal veggies as our sides. The salmon was seasoned & cooked perfectly. Our sides were yum too!

Wife and I decided on dining at Outback this evening. Bryce was our friendly and informative server. He let me know about using rewards which I usually forget to do. Wifey ordered Coconut Shrimp with baked sweet potato and a salad. She thought the shrimp were a bit overcooked, but would order that again and request they not cook the shrimp so long. The sweet sauce that comes with them is excellent. She wasn't keen on the salad so I finished it for her. I ordered the Bloomin Onion Burger fully dressed. It is so big I took the top bun off and ate the rest with fork and knife. It was tasty, but I won't order it again. The green beans were perfectly cooked and I shared those with wifey. I liked my baked potato, though the skin was a little tough to cut with a knife. I usually eat the skin and like it a little crispy, but this one was more tough than I'm used to. We both ordered the cheesecake with berry sauce on top. We brought those home and I ate mine and was pleased. We both ordered an Alice Springs Chicken with mashed potatoes to go for tomorrow. Those were $10 each. We will just steam a vegetable to go with what we ordered. She still has her cheesecake for tomorrow. Outback is still one of our favorite restaurants that has nice ambiance, great service and quality food choices. Outback seems to be a step above most other restaurants in what they do. I look forward to our next visit. We appreciated the host opening the door when we arrived. That is one of those extra details Outback provides. The restaurant was very clean from what I could see and I look for items like that for review. I believe their training of staff is excellent. Kudos to the ownership and management. Lastly, thank you for being a blessing to Veterans. We appreciate your generosity.

Baked Potato Soup

Came at 8pm weeknight so no wait and seated right away. Server came quickly and I ordered equally fast. Food came out so fast and hot. I was super impressed. Bake potato soup was good Mixed vegetables lacked flavor so I added my own salt and pepper. Much better after that. Prime rib was cooked perfectly as asked. I did take it seared but the salt/pepper sear they used was tooooo salty. I could barely finish it. The meat was so good though. I just wish it wasn't so salty. I scraped off a lot of the seasoning and it still was too much. Because food (despite over seasoning the beef) and service were good, I'd come back again. But this time just regular prime rib without the seasoned sear. Dessert - I took the butter cake ToGo and that cake was delicious!

8oz. Sirloin steak with the alive springs chicken, asparagus and loaded baked potato. Blooming onion and a wallaby cocktail.

I haven't been to Outback in over 6 years! We out and had the 8oz steak & Alice Springs chicken with asparagus and a loaded baked potato. We also had the fried mushrooms and blooming onion for apps. Mom got the bowl of chili which she gets every time and loves it. They also got two 20oz. Ribeyes and they were huge! Everything was excellent. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted from the hostess with a big smile and lots of energy. I love that! We sat at the bar and Adrienne our bar tender was excellent. She was running the entire bar and some tables in the bar area. Everyone was hustling! Food came out in a timely manner. The manager Michael asked us how we were doing and even held a few conversations with us. Sorry it took me so long to stop back in there but I will definitely be back on a Tuesday - because that's when Adrienne is working. Excellent food and service all around!

Food was as good as always. Loved the steak and ceaser salad. Grilled chicken was kinda ehh, a little dry for my taste. Service was really good, all the food came out extremely fast and our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Food 10/10 I mean literally my boyfriend and I were overwhelmed at how wonderful everything looked, how delicious it was. Multiple times we brought it up in conversation. The food felt like an experience. Steak 10/10 (I know I said food but this has to be in its own category) oh my gosh. Please go get the Delemonico cut, medium. It melts in your mouth, no need for A1. This cut was recommended by Cheyenne and she got it spot on! Ambiance felt like home, everyone was friendly. The manager even came to our table so we were able to compliment them personally. We definitely found our favorite place to eat in Louisville. Thank you Cast Iron for a wonderful night!

Returning recently, the food was still very good, but now everything comes out on regular plates, and some of that original magic felt lost. That said, this is still a solid local steakhouse. The staff was attentive, the meal was flavorful, and the prices were fair, especially compared to many of the more famous steakhouses across the Ohio River in Louisville. It may not have the prestige or polish of some of those places, but that's also part of its appeal. This feels more like a neighborhood restaurant serving happy locals than a destination fine dining spot -- and honestly there's something refreshing about that. Good food, good service, reasonable prices, and a comfortable atmosphere without trying too hard. Sometimes that's exactly what you want.

DRINKS: This is a fantastic BTG list with many excellent options for sparkling, white, and red wines. Trefethen Cab for $30 all day with the myriad of dry-aged steaks offered here! The bottle list doesn't disappoint either as it showcases a medium selection of options, which cover a little bit of everything while having a New World focus. Finally I made it to the cocktails and loved the focus on some absolute classics with Manhattan, Boulevard, Vesper, Sazerac. Then you see the seasonal section where their Amaro cocktail creations really shined! FOOD: The appetizers are all wonderful, the crab cakes are about the crab, the bone marrow while not my favorite is good, the steak tartare is divine, and the oak-fired heirloom carrots are without a doubt slept on. Now I did love the Lobster Bisque presentation but I have had better if I'm being honest. Then I thought... for being a steak house they sure give you a lot of reason to not order a steak ! The organic Chicken Picatta is wonderfully executed, The Whole Roasted Dover Sole Meunière stays classically French and is a great fish entree where steak is the headliner. But if you are getting a steak it's definitely going to give you a super-star performance. The steaks here see 35/45 days of dry-aging and the Fred Linz Heritage or A5 Wagyu is the way to go without a doubt! Every steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare and the Red Wine Jus was my favorite personal sauce while others preferred the Bourbon Peppercorn. However, if you truly want to indulge get some of the bone marrow butter and put that on your steak..... your tastes buds will thank you. DESSERT: The dessert list gives you a respectable selection with the Bourbon Bread Pudding being a must try! I also always appreciate a good sorbet option but I must say the chocolate cake is rather underwhelming... however that Raspberry coulee it comes with is awesome so it kinda redeemed itself. The waiter recommended to ask for more on the side. SERVICE: The waiters are all abundantly professional, performing at a level of service you'd expect from a modern high-end steak house. The recommendations made were excellent while their knowledge of not only the menu but the wine list was appreciated. OVERALL: Absolutely would recommend Repeal for a special date night, Business dinner, or if you're wanting to treat yourself to a high class experience in downtown Louisville.

I have numerous food sensitivities so everywhere I choose to eat out I have to ask a ton of questions. I was fortunate enough to have Pinkie as my server and she was super sweet, attentive and knowledgeable about their menu. I ventured here for a steak since it's about the only menu item I can eat here. I love a good steak, and I asked Pinkie which she recommends, she advised the ribeye or the filet, and I opted for the filet. I ordered it medium rare with no butter or sauce, just salt and pepper, and a plain baked potato as the side. The steak was juicy, tender and simply divine ! The baked potato was cooked to perfection as well. I opted for a peach iced tea to round out my meal and it was might tasty. Pinkie even sent me home with a Peach Iced Tea! Great service! So much so that I asked to speak to the manager on my way out to give Pinkie her kudos! I got one of the lunch deals, which was the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich (hold the onions please!) with a side for $9.99. I chose the Loaded Potato Soup for the side, but wish I hadn't. Some of the potatoes were underdone and crunchy, and I've definitely had better potato soups. However, the sandwich made up for it in bounds! Firstly, it was huge, not something I could bite easily. It was nice and warm, the chicken was juicy and melted in my mouth. The pickles were sliced thick and were nice and crispy. It fell apart as I was eating, but I didn't care for once. It was so good, I just enjoyed it. I will be craving that sandwich, and probably making it a point to come back for lunch as soon as I can. Next time I'll get the asparagus, or brussel sprouts (which my lunch companions said were wonderful). Our server did a great job from start to finish, she stopped by regularly without being interruptive. She refilled our drinks before we needed to ask and offered to go cups at the end. And, she did it all with a smile. Kudos. Note to Longhorns--I greatly miss your sautéed mushrooms!

We always have a wonderful time at steak and bourbon together as a family. The old fashioned was a miss for me and two others. We switched to wine. Oddly sweet, bitter mix off and not enough bourbon. My glass of Malbec was much better but it took so long to get I that I drank most of it after dinner. We got the meatball appetizer as well as the one described as an empanada. Most of us enjoyed them. I thought both lacked flavor and wouldn't order them again. The bread - amazing! My steak and frites were good and I ate it all. I'm so happy I got the sauce on the side - that would've ruined the flavor. A bit fatty but filling. Others didn't enjoy their steaks as much - one requested medium rare came almost well and had to be exchanged. Another steak was described as oddly tough, another said it wasn't too fatty. For a steakhouse, it should be the main feature. Service was professional and friendly... and also incredibly slow. I was at dinner over 3 hours and we didn't have dessert! We had long pauses between visits to the table, even in the beginning when we wanted drink orders. The space is also very loud. I strained to hear my co-workers at dinner and my head ached at the end of dinner. That's too bad because the vibe of the restaurant is cool and modern, but I also want relaxing. Based on this visit, I wouldn't bring folks back. It's too expensive to recommend even I choose to visit myself.
