I've actually been there twice with two different adults with autism that I support, and both experiences have been great. The food is always good (those Burger Week specials definitely didn't disappoint), but what really stands out is the staff. They've been so kind, patient, and never make anyone feel rushed or out of place. As a behavior analyst, I notice the little things--how people are treated, how patient the servers are, and whether everyone feels welcome. Drake's absolutely passes that test. Very nice curbside service and good food. Staying at a nearby hotel, I wanted a meal to take back to my room. I ordered online and headed for a curbside parking spot 20 minutes later. I ordered a Crab Rangoon roll, side salad, and a side of broccoli. The Crab Rangoon roll was excellent! My favorite. The side salad was much better than side salads from other restaurants. Broccoli was good as well. Drake's has been consistently good for takeout. I'm glad there is a location near the hotel where I frequently stay when working in the area. read more

We visited Drake's in Jeffersonville on Memorial Day and the place was absolutely packed. Loud, busy, lots of TVs, and a pretty entertainingly random music mix. During our meal we heard ABBA, Gloria Estefan, Neil Young, and Taylor Swift, which somehow worked for the atmosphere. Our waitress, Charlee, did a really nice job. She was attentive throughout the meal, checked on us often, kept drinks filled, and was especially accommodating and sweet with the older folks at our table. The manager stopped by to check on things and we mentioned we were celebrating two birthdays, including my father-in-law turning 86. He told us he'd make sure complimentary cookie à la modes came out for dessert. They were forgotten initially, but once we reminded Charlee, they came out quickly. Most of the food was good, though not perfect. I ordered the Cobb salad with seared salmon instead of chicken and requested no blue cheese crumbles. Charlee clearly noted it correctly, but a few crumbles still made their way onto the salad somehow. My wife enjoyed her fish tacos, although they arrived more deconstructed than expected. The fish, tortillas, and toppings all came separately, so it turned into a bit of a build-your-own situation at the table. The Purple Mirage cocktail was probably the standout item of the night. Blueberry purée, lemon juice, vodka, very refreshing and nicely presented. The draft beers at the table were also cold and served properly. One odd note: the bathroom had a sign that joked, "If this towel dispenser is empty, please use your clothes." Meant to be funny, probably, but combined with a step ladder and wet floor sign being stored in the handicapped stall, it felt a little less polished than the rest of the restaurant. Haley M and Jordan were our beautiful, cordial and professional servers. I could say LOTS about them. They are perfect at what they do. Like they were born to be servers at Drakes. They are very informative about Drake's and the menu. I hadn't tasted the food yet and had a good idea I was coming back sometime soon. This was my friends second visit and my FIRST. Haley suggested Juicy Lucy hamburgers for me and I chose broccoli on the side. The broccoli was cooked PERFECT. I was told by a friend the burgers at Drake's were the BEST they ever had anywhere. Whoa!!! Really? That's a BIG statement to make. What's the proof? After tasting the Juicy Lucy, I'm not arguing about somewhere else having a better burger. Drake's has a strong case to be King of burgers. My friend ordered Salad without lettuce. Really? Yes, he did. His bowl still had a LOT in it without lettuce and he said it was very good. My friend also ordered the Cheddar Burgers which he said were very good also, possibly the BEST anywhere. I think the music videos were slightly LOUD, but that is me. Most people probably find it fine. The vibe is eating at a bar, though we were not AT the bar. We both enjoyed our visit VERY much. The experience was 5+ stars. My friend's 2 sons love Drake's. My daughter is very fond of it as well, especially when it comes to the Crab Rangoon Sushi Rolls. The menu looked fabulous and I look forward to revisiting and try more of the faire. The manager stopped by our table so I could give my first critique. He was very personable and informative. I now understand why I see the parking lot FULL when driving by. There is a BIG fireplace which is cool. Lastly, my Veteran friends will be happy to hear, Drake's gives a 25% discount for our service. I ordered salmon, broccoli and macaroni and cheese. The salmon was bland and the (shell) macaroni & cheese was a disappointment. The broccoli was the only thing that was tasteful. I ordered the buffalo chicken dip which was excellent. The Mango Margarita was watered down and tasted like a mango soda. The service was horrible. The waitress was a nice lady and I felt bad for her, but she had no clue what she was doing. We had 2 salads and a sushi roll. Had lunch with clients today at the Drakes in Jeffersonville. The server was on it, but the food took forever to get to us and they were not slammed, food was not great and the prices keep seem to go up and up. Also, the portion sizes of the meals keeps going down at this establishment. I'm starting to veer clients away from the Drakes in the Louisville area and suggest other restaurants. I've also recently quit going to the Drake's at the paddocks due to some of the waitresses. Seem like petty children. read more

Four of us went to Drake's for dinner on a recent week night. I shared a mushroom Swiss burger. Another had mini cheeseburgers and another had a rainbow tempura sushi. The food and drinks were fine, the servers were attentive and the atmosphere was sports bar. I only have one suggestion to Drake's management. Went to Drake's in Jeffersonville for the first time. I got the turkey Swiss (I asked for Chipotle Jack instead) avocado sandwich w/ BLT side salad. My wife got the BLT sandwich with a BLT side salad. Both were very good. The bread was toasted nicely. Keria gave us great service, very attentive. There were lots of TVs and had a bit of a sports feel to it. We were there to meet friends we hadn't seen in 30 years. So I was negligent about snapping pics of our food. The 4-star rating was for pricing. Two sandwiches with sides (both salad) and just water to drink were $33 + a tip. It was good and I'd go again. I went here with an old friend and our kids. The lunch rush was large but we didn't have to wait for a table. Our party of 4 was seated immediately. I ordered the mini burgers and they were delicious. I also had water and lemon and the water was really good. Yes, I know its water, but a lot of restaurants have nasty tasting water. My daughter had the poke bowl and it left much to be desired. The waiter was attentive and nice. The food was prepared quickly. Im not sure how much the bill was, as my friend refused to let us pay. Drake's has always been a place I've been curious about and especially since the one in Jeffersonville, Indiana opened. So, I decided to take a trip to go and check it out to see what the hype is all about here as Drake's tour's itself on a great selection of food. The environment here at Drake's is a super casual one. The type you'd find at most American sports bars. A nice amount of TVs to watch whatever event you're interested in. The restaurant has one bar which sit in the middle with plenty of seating circling it. On this particular evening it wasn't overly busy for a late Saturday night. I felt very welcomed here by the staff and didn't feel like our particular server didn't know what they were doing outside of forgetting to bring us silverware and also checking on us a bit too much. The menu is exactly as they claim. Everything, from burgers to chicken along with steak and fish. It was also a nice surprise to see a very good selection of sushi on the menu as well. I decided to first try an appetizer in their fried pickles. They give you a large portion of them along with your choice of dipping sauces. The pickles were extremely salty which took away from their flavor which didn't really make me want to eat many of them. For my main course I went with their teriyaki chicken bowl which has sushi rice, teriyaki chicken, shredded carrots, avocado, fried asparagus and sriracha. This was very delicious and the presentation alone was great but the taste did not match how great it was presented unfortunately. Outside of having a great selection of menu items and cocktails/drinks, my experience felt like it could've been a lot better for a $45 bill after everything I ordered (that includes what my wife ordered not mentioned here in this review). I'll give Drake's another try at some point but not a first choice for me. I recommend giving them a try for sure I just believe there are far better experiences and tastes elsewhere for your money. read more

Sat at the bar for dinner on a Saturday night. We love Drake's and this was our first time at this location. Service slow at first as we were essentially ignored for ten minutes, but picked up after that. Wife got the fried fish minis with fries and I had the BLT burger minis with tots. Bacon was practically raw (see pic) and the tots were way overcooked. I packed up my leftovers because it's nothing an air fryer can't fix, but to serve this to a customer is disgusting. It took them almost as long to collect out payment as it took to serve us our first drink, as the bar staff were focused on cleaning up as opposed to paying attention to patrons. Finally, I went to the restroom on my way out and there was no soap. Poor service, poor execution in the kitchen, and poor maintenance in the restroom - all of that signals poor management. This doesn't compare to all of the Drake's we've been to across the region (3 other states). We won't be back to this location. read more

The food was good Maya was our server and did an excellent job. Apps delivered shorty after ordering didn't have to ask for app plates she had them. She checked back three times. Our wait was longer than it should have been. The manager asked if we were waiting for a table as we were standing near a closed garage door. The host seemed to have forgotten us. We could feel the heat with the fireplace doors open. Once the doors were closed it was less hot & still pleasant. I counted approximately 27 televisions. I ordered the Black bean avocado burger with waffle sweet potato fries, & Mike ordered Mini Cheeseburgers with tots. The food was underwhelming. Fries & tots were cold. The burger toppings for the minis were hiding under the tots. The black bean burger tasted good, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The avocado was in the slaw not on the burger. It's a newer restaurant, clean and bright on the inside. Food was served quickly and hot! The cocktail menu is extensive and they have a great craft beer list. The service was very good and our server was extremely attentive. We have eaten in the Louisville location before as well. Decided to stop in at Drakes for our anniversary. It was fairly full; immediately told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. Got set up for a table and decided to go to bar to grab a quick drink while we wait. There were open chairs so we sat. There were dishes left over from previous diners. It took quite awhile before we got bartender's attention to clean it off and grab a beverage. When we finally did get beverage we got notice a table was ready, so good on timing of getting table but no so on bar service. Bartenders seen to have more time talking to each other than paying attention to customers. We were promptly seated and free tables were becoming more open; but it took almost 10 minutes to be acknowledged by waitress and to get an appetizer ordered. Ordered calamari salad and pretzel bread; both delicious, calamari was quite small so don't plan to share, pretzel bread was awesome. Everything was tasty however service seemed sporadic. Ordered hamburger special Michigander and Tempura Shrimp Stack. Burger was a smash burger with lots of olives topping it, a bit messy but tasty. The tiny bun makes it look larger along with smashing. Fries were good but, I got more from McDonald's on a small order. Shrimp stack was good, but small portion as well for prices paid. Overall we might have been spoiled by Drakes in Louisville for service but this is a newly opened location. Food was good, but portions seemed smaller considering prices paid and tipping started at 18% versus customary 15%. Prices go up; food and service do not coincide with increase. The customer base seemed vibrant and seemed to be enjoying their visit. I do still recommend this location; food is tasty. read more

Had a great experience here coming in on a Friday around 10 pm. I previously had a sub par visit at the drakes in st Mathews but this location seems a lot better I went for the mini cheese sliders. Very good and came out nice and fresh. Service was very efficient. They had a nice beer selection too. A little surprised at the low rating on here after the solid experience I had. The poor bartender tried to resolve once with one manager ( lady) because we were one meal short.. a basic hamburger... the first manager, well she never came back, where management had to be summoned again by the bartender to resolve. Another manager resolved by fixing it himself for my spouse. This was thirty minutes from when finished my meal. Management needs to be better at connecting the disconnects. Drake's is a good choice if you are seeking an establishment with an extensive menu to please varied tastes within a group of diners. The menu is fairly large with everything from salads, sushi, burgers, steak, fish, chicken -- in other words, every thing. This franchise is owned by the same company that brings us the more upscale venues of Malones and Harry's, which are wonderful in their own right. Drake's is laidback, has supersized TV's with no bad seats in the house, and has fantastic outside covered patio dining. This is the second time in a couple of months that I've met up with friends here for a casual Tuesday early evening dinner. We chose a repeat visit here because we did not feel rushed while we caught up on the latest news. Easy parking and easy access off of Veterans Parkway near the stoplight to turn in to Menards. It does get fairly busy around 6 PM. It's also worth noting that if you can plan your visit ahead of time, be sure to join their rewards club at least 24 hours prior and you can score a $5 reward certificate to use for your very first visit. I ordered a California Cobb salad that was fresh, crispy, and delish with tender chunks of chicken, avocado cubes, and tender greens. My table mates ordered a salmon and broccoli dinner, a fried bologna sandwich with spicy fries, and a patty melt with tater tots. We were all pleased and complimentary of the food as well as the service. Our waitress told us this place becomes very busy during the later hours on Friday nights after high school football games are over because it is one of the few places open until midnight or 1 AM on the weekends. The steaks were over cooked and the grilled chicken was so dry and near burnt. I had the fried fish and it was terrific. Great atmosphere, plenty of TV's with a verity of sports and music. First ever visit to a Drakes. Not a fan on several levels. Their booths are uncomfortable and that's being generous. I'm tall but not 7 ft tall. That being the case, my feet didn't reach the floor, and the metal rail for your foot rest was too high for me. When I used the foot rest, my knees were jammed up under the table to the point it was uncomfortable AND I couldn't move up to the table to eat. Who designs this asinine seating? Next, unless you're looking for a Burger or sushi, their menu is very limited and expensive IMO. Our food was extremely salty. Started with the BLT Tots appetizer ($14). It was definitely the best thing we had and I would order them again. I had the Buffalo Chicken Minis ($13.99) served with one side. I had Cole Slaw as my side and it was pretty good. My wife had the Juicy Lucy Minis ($13.99) with a side of Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. She loved the Waffle Fries and said she would've like the mini burgers if they weren't so salty.
