Tl;DR: I do not recommend consignment with Our Fabric Stash. They have missed multiple deadlines and I have never received payment for my fabrics despite them telling me some of my fabrics did sell. Please go look up Our Fabric Stash's Better Business Bureau rating before you decide to consign. Purchased a GoGreen Account from Our Fabric Stash in August of 2017. For about one year, I did not receive any communications from Our Fabric Stash. I contacted them October of 2018 and they did not respond. I emailed again two weeks later they said they would contact me when they had completed an inventory review and would contact me again by the end of the year. End of the year came and went, and I did not hear from them. Emailed multiple times and on February 8th they "were able to locate your stash in our system." And told me: "We will reconcile your account next week, make payment this month for the items have sold, offer a buyout for the remaining items or schedule a pickup." I contacted them again February 21st, and February 25th they said "We haven't forgotten about your account. We have a list of what has sold, remains and will update your account this week. Plus, payment this month." It is now March 3rd and I have received no payments or further contact from them. read more

I really love the idea of this place, but after spending fifteen minutes in there trying to get the attention of the man working and being continuously ignored I left empty handed. Maybe because I'm under thirty and not who people usually expect in a fabric store, maybe because I'm not a local so the man figured why bother giving me his time when I wouldn't be a repeat customer. This is a cute little shop located on the 3rd level downstairs of Pike Place Market! They have a bunch of scraps and sewing notions. I didn't exactly find what I was looking for but my friend found a perfect cut of the lining he was looking for. read more

I was visiting Seattle and saw this on Yelp. So glad I went! I did have to wait 10 minutes while the owner (and only staff person) was out, so beware if you are on a tight timeline. What a great store concept! It's in the main touristy part of Pike Place Market, downstairs from the main crazy part with the doughnuts and salmon and pig statue, etc. It was so fun to poke through all the fabric. I'm just getting started sewing, and I've found knits are kind of expensive. I bought some knit for $5/yard. There was a range of stuff, from fat quarters for quilters to Dolce & Gabbana knits for $40/yard. Deborah the owner is super nice and personable and knowledgeable. She is maybe too good of a salesperson, because I just wanted a few yards of a knit, but walked away with a whole stash to last me a few months! :P read more

I previously reviewed the old location, and my opinion is largely unchanged...I love the prices, I love the owner, I love the diversity of what I can find here. Aura is right in that "you don't know what you're going to get" - think of it like a Marshalls or TJ Maxx for fabric. I find I have good luck if I bring my sketchbook, fabric swatches, and/or digital pattern catalog with me. If I'm planning a season ahead or looking for muslin, I can usually find a few fabrics that will work, but if I'm looking for a particular fabric (light grey silk crepe, for example) then I'm less likely to go home with anything. The new location is bigger and better organized. Nice and cool in the summer, so great to stop in to escape the heat for a bit, even if you don't plan to buy. The owner is wonderful, and seems to remember every customer. From the few times I've been in the last few months, she is just as warm to the other customers as she is to me. Because I'm picky about fabric (I prefer only natural fibers), the owner has occasionally looked up the content of a fabric for me in her system if it's not marked. The shop doesn't always have what I'm looking for, and sometimes I want more yards of something than are available - but that's the nature of "stash fabric." Typically, though, everything here is in usable lengths. She has some serger thread on hand if you are looking for notions, but that's about it in the notions department. She has a large (& growing) selection of vintage patterns at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend! read more

They helped me choose a fabric and think out the pattern I was going to construct. It was so helpful. I will update this review if anything changes. I brought a really large inventory of fabrics for consignment several months ago, and paid the annual fee for inventory management/consignment. I have received no accounting for the inventory received, nor any indication of what - if anything - has sold. Given the quality of what I dropped off, I have to believe SOME fabrics have sold. Regardless, proprietor should be able to produce an accounting for fabrics she has accepted into inventory. When I have asked, I've been told "we're still entering into inventory." (Drop off was 3 months ago,at least.) Now - reading other reviews - I am very concerned. If I do not update this to reflect better info, I would implore people to NOT shop here until vendor fixes this situation, which is reported elsewhere; you would be purchasing essentially stolen goods. read more

Walked into this place to look at a few samples and get some inspiration to take home with me. I picked up some discount fabric for a few crafts at home about 1 yard's worth. Quirky. I've been to their shop on S. Jackson and in Pike Place with a hit-or-miss experience with both getting in (opening hours seem to be fluid!) and finding anything useful. Best for shopping with no expectation of actually getting in and/or finding what you need. Great objective (helping crafters/hoarders de-stash) if you can get inside. A good place to shop if you want to start a new project and have no idea what you want to make! Because this is a fabric consignment shop, the selection is always different each time you come in. If you see something you like you'd better but it, because chances are it won't be there next time! I think the prices are very reasonable for the quality of fabrics they offer. The only downside to this business is the unreliable store hours. I have come here multiple times, and have never been able to walk in right away. In my experience they are often late to open, early to close, and since there's only one employee most of the time, subject to closing at random times during the day for lunch/bathroom breaks. I don't come to the market often, and when I do it's to shop here, so it would be greatly appreciated if their hours were more consistent. read more
