When my friend told me that this was one of the best pizza places she'd ever been to, I was skeptical. I've had a lot of pizza in my life, and I still haven't found "the best," so her claim seemed a bit outlandish to me. Boy did she prove me wrong! When I perused the menu, I saw a lot of interesting topping options and it startled me at first, buy my friend calmed me down and told me about some of her favorites. We ended up ordering a sausage pizza and a butternut squash, and they were both absolutely delicious. The flavor combinations of these interesting toppings shouldn't work, and yet they do somehow. We ordered the Otto Four Cheese pizza and a spinach, red onion, and kalamata olive pizza. Both were really satisfying. The Four Cheese had a great, balanced cheese blend and that creamy ricotta was the highlight. New app is absolutely, inexcusably horrible. Not only did I lose my points and rewards when the new app was released, but I also lost my ability to order "delivery". Any time I log into the app it only allows pickup orders. I had to reset my password to access my account, and even then it took me ages to find the page where I enter my confirmation code. Honestly, with the price increase and hassle of the new app I won't be ordering from here again. I like the pizza, but now it's impossible to order takeout as someone who lives in Allston, and almost impossible to navigate the app. Fix this. read more

If you're into some creative pizzas, Otto is a good spot! They always have interesting topping combinations. The crush is pretty good and has a nice chew, although it gets a bit soggy towards the middle of the pie, but as long as you fold it, you're good. I also love the atmosphere of this location. It has high ceilings and plenty of sunlight. Service is good, too. It's also a great spot to get pizza with friends because of the great beer list. I've been a several times, so I've been able to try a bunch. My favorite that they have on rotation normally is the butternut squash, ricotta, and cranberry (tbh I like any of their pizzas with ricotta). Recently I had their weekly special, the Lasagna-ish (ground beef, ricotta (I love ricotta okay!!), basil, and TORTELLINI (carbs on carbs!!!)), and that was tasty. Also had their blue cheese, roasted pear, and arugula pizza, and that had a great combination of salty and sweet and peppery, although it was a bit too salty for me when I just got a bite of blue cheese. My husband and I came in around 6:30 PM on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately. It got very busy soon after that. Our server was attentive and everybody inside of Otto seemed very upbeat and happy to be there. Smiles are contagious so I loved this. We ordered the Genoa Salami and Ricotta & Sausage and Vidalia onion pizzas. The crust is thin and the pizza is hard to hold to eat, but it's okay because it's GOOD! I wasn't as impressed with the sausage and Vidalia onion option but that may have been because I was just wowed by the ricotta. I have to say, if you're going to order a pizza here, you must get one with ricotta. My goodness, that combination was AMAZING!! My husband also ordered their diet coke and it isn't the regular diet coke but a Mexican variety that was just delicious. It was a pleasant surprise. Oh and get some ranch on the side to dip your pizza crusts in, even their ranch is unique. Their crust was a bit dry for my taste but dipped into the ranch it was amazing!! There were a lot of other really interesting and tasty sounding options as well as a wide variety of vegetarian options that sounded scrumptious! My favorite pizza ! I actually had it for the first time in Portland, but im so glad it's here in Boston too. I came on a Friday night and didn't have to wait for a table which was great. It was pretty busy but service was good. I got the mashed potato large pizza and the pepperoni and mushroom large pizza. They were both really tasty and thin crust. This morning, we placed a delivery order for 5 PM delivery and it came perfectly on time. We were so excited for Otto but it was all downhill. Our salad was improperly packaged with the salad spilling all over the bag. Our meatballs were entirely missing. Even worse, the pizza came completely cold. We are from out of town and tried Otto's recommended to us by our daughter who lives in Boston. The waitress was super nice, accommodating and prompt. I ate here with some family and friends the other day and wow does it seem to be a popular place! We were lucky that another large party didn't show up for their reservation so we could get a table with only a short wait time. Overall the food was delicious and the service was great! The white pizza with tomato slices and basil has a thin crust, ample shredded motz and a light finishing of olive oil. The pizza was fresh and had a nice crunch. I went here with my friends on Saturday and was so excited to try this place. From all the pictures on yelp, the bacon potato pizza was a no brainer. We also chose the broccoli and sausage pizza. Both pizzas were just OK. I enjoyed the bacon potato pizza more. I think the biggest let down was that I wanted the pizza to arrive piping hot, but instead we just received them warm. Came to this location on a Saturday night with my roommate to grab some pizza. They were pretty packed, so we took two seats at the bar (it's first come, first serve there). We decided to split two small pizzas and a salad. The salad was average but came out quick - and we were really hungry. For our pizzas, we ordered a small sausage and onion, and a small eggplant, basil, and ricotta. The pizzas were good. I really loved the eggplant, basil, and ricotta. Their crust on their pizzas is thin and crunchy. All of their pizzas have great seasoning and spice, and just the right amount of sauce. Service was a little slow - we eventually had to get up and go straight to the bartender to pay our bill. But it was a Saturday night and they were slammed. All in all, good pizza at a decent price. This Otto location is smaller than their Commonwealth Ave spot. And street parking near Coolidge Corner can be tricky. read more

I will alway recommend Ottos however I will not recommend this one! I walked in to get my order, the cashier who had been helping customers stood off to the side and ignored me. After about 10 minutes of waiting the host came and assisted me with getting my online order. Soon, I was ravishing it and everybody on the T kept staring at me eat....WHADDUP BOSS. I would definitely come back to try other types, although it is definitely overpriced at $3.50 for my slice. The pizza is top notch, with inventive combinations like pulled pork and mango; mashed potato, bacon and chive (a personal favorite), and most recently, roasted chicken, caramelized pears and Fontina. Move aside apples, there's a new orchard pizza fruit at the forefront, and thy name is Bartlett. A decadent trio on a sauceless pie sporting a tender, gritty crust, priced $13 for a two-meal small. It's awesome, as was the cold, crisp Caesar salad, albeit a bit small for the $7 price tag. The sit & serve location one-ups my typical Harvard stop by offering a proper means to enjoy a fresh pizza. Still gunning for slices? The Coolidge Corner stop sells 'em a few hours before closing. But, really, sit and eat - you'll note the difference. Service was fine, even as they were feeling the pinch of a downed credit card system. On the plus, they take LevelUp, which saved our cashless hides. read more
