I have been going to this practice for decades and my son as well. Reston and the old Fairfax location. I had multiple ear/mastoid surgeries with Dr. McKenzie, who just retired. It took years before needing to go back, and when I did, I found the admins and the medical care to be not only great, but so much better than years ago. I have taken multiple of my kids to see Dr. Ryan Murray, and his advice has always been exceptional. He is very knowledgeable and experienced, listens well, understands exactly what the parent is saying, does a very thorough exam, thinks of everything that could be an underlying root cause of any issues (and talks about everything without being in a rush), does not recommend any unnecessary procedures but when a procedure is really needed, he is spot on correct at recommending it. Go to Dr. Murray for advice you can trust and have confidence in. I will never go to another ENT if I can help it! As a plus, he's down to earth and great with kids! read more

Ghetto! If I had to choose one word to describe this practice that's the first word that comes to mind. This is strictly based on my over the phone encounter with their receptionist. I called to schedule an appointment for my 9 year old son, the receptionist asked for my insurance information. While I was getting my card out she said "hellloooo? I have patients... I said sorry I'm getting my card out... then she put me on hold without telling me she was putting me on hold. It's safe to say I will not be bringing my son in. It's unfortunate that people have to experience that rude unprofessional impatient receptionist as their first encounter.. it sets a tone for the practice which is unfair for her colleagues. read more

I came here on Friday Dec, 27th for a new patient appointment with Dr. Kuperstock. I honestly just choose this practice because they were one of 2 ENT's that are near my job and this office could get me in the soonest. I needed to see a specialist because I have been suffering from chronic sinius infections my whole life which I have always just gone to the regular dr's for or urgent care and received antibiotics if i couldn't cure it at home with sinus medicine and rinses. However, two months ago I had a severe one that when I woke up the next morning I could not hear out of my right ear so I went to urgent care and they put me on a nasal spray and a antibiotic to try and clear everything out and said my hearing would return once the swelling went down and everything drained well after a month i went back because my hearing still never returned and I was told I would have to see a specialist because they saw no problems with my ear. Getting to Otolaryngology Associates office can be a little tricky if your not fimilar with the Reston Hospital center but if you just follow the signs once in side for Pavilion 1 you will be okay. There are plenty of information desk though when you walk in so dont worry but once you reach the office if you already have your paperwork filled out as I did it was a breeze you just sign in provide your ID and insurance card and then the wait begins. Now I didn't have to wait in the waiting area as other reviewers did for very long however my wait in the back was about 20mins but I did arrive earlier then my appointment time so i am sure that had a lot to do with it. Once Dr. Kuperstock came in he introduced his self informed me of his medical background and expertise and then immediately started on my medical history and exam explaining everything as he went in grave detail as he also has an assistant with him typing everything as he goes. Once he ran all his test he recommended some stronger antibiotics to try and a difference sinus spray for some daily relief and suggest that if that didn't work I may have to have a CT scan to see if surgery may be needed. As for my hearing he set me up for an appointment with the audiologist to have my hearing tested to see how bad that is to see what options I had once the results are completed. Also suggested that I get my impacted wisdom tooth pulled that I had been putting off as that could also be putting strain on my sinuses as well. Overall, I was very satisfied with my visit with Dr. Kuperstock and within the first 24 hours on the antibiotic my smell and taste returned and my extreme ear pain had went away. I think his recommendations were the best way to go and even though my hearing hasn't returned I am confident he will get to the bottom and get it back and or improved some how. read more

I took my newborn son to this practice for a suspected tongue-tie on the recommendation of my pediatrician. Getting the appointment was a bit complicated because the customer service individuals that answered the phones where difficult to communicate with. I was told that they were having telephone system issues which seemed to continue into the following week , the week of our appointment (what medical office doesn't get their phones fixed in over a week?!?!). When we arrived for the appointment, the doctor took what we said and didn't inspect further. She recommended cutting the tongue-tie immediately. This practice uses scissors to deal with mouth ties rather than laser. After the procedure, she did not provide after care exercises as is customary (we later learned from a lactation consultant). Fast forward two mouths later, I meet with a lactation consultant who identified the tongue-tie had grown back and that my son also had a lip tie, never identified by the doctor. We were recommended a Dentist that performs oral surgeries on infants with a solid reputation. This Dentist fixed the poor job done by the doctor of this office and also corrected the lip-tie using laser surgery. Both problems were completely fixed by this dentist with excellent results. The dentist provide "exercises" for after procedure therapy which weren't provided by the Otolaryngology Associates doctor. Don't use this practice! Their customer service is beyond incompetent! read more

If I could give more than five stars I would. I was provided a glowing recommendation for Dr. Bahadori & I was definitely NOT let down. Dr. Bahadori & his team are AMAZING! I wish I had a better memory & remembered the Directors name but she went above & beyond to ensure my son was seen the same week. Just an FYI, Dr. Bahadori is usually booked for weeks out. I expressed my concerns for my child, & she made it happen. She squeezed us in & after meeting that week, was already on the books the following week for ear tube surgery. I know it's a completely non-invasive surgery but this was a first for my son. The process couldn't have gone smoother & I felt entirely at ease with my child in their hands. They truly were great & as if that weren't good enough, Dr. Bahadori himself, personally takes the time to call & follow up to check on the kids. Typically this is a protocol for the nurses. All around great experience & I salute you! You all are superstars & I cannot thank you enough!!! Called the Reston office at 703-834-2900 and Erica answered. She was extremely rude, to say the least. I called to seek help login into the patient portal. I explained I was trying to log in and needed help..then silence and then she said, "Hello!"...had to explain again, then she stated she "did not know how it worked"!!. I guess a coworker heard her on the background and heard when she offered to help me... Doctors at this practice may be great, but the front desk staff really needs some training, otherwise, patients will simply look for the next best doctor with professional staff. read more

Doctor Murray with this practice did a tonsillectomy on my daughter and did an amazing job. This review in no way is to reflect him. This office however, is despicable! Down right awful! I Myself was in abdominal surgery and they called, left no message, and then proceeded to take everything they could running my card twice for two different amounts leaving my account with nothing in it with no warning or discussion of what the charges were for. They then were closed by noon that same day (Friday) when I called to try and find out what the heck happened!! I had no way to get my post op prescriptions. I can not say it enough! Excellent Service! Thank you Dr. William S. Kim!! I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Kim since June 24, 2020. I called for an appointment in May 2020 and I waited a month to see Dr. Kim and it is absolutely worth it! He treated me for an inflamed tonsil infection I have been suffering for 2 months prior to seeing him. I have consulted with one other otolaryngologist in Fairfax County but my issue was never resolved and I am very happy to have received care from Dr. Kim. In a week after meeting him my pain and severe coughing issue was resolved. When I met him, I was not being able to eat solid food and was suffering from pain from swallowing even my own saliva. Within 5 days of taking the medications I started feeling better. Today (July 4, 2020) I came back at Otolaryngology Associates FPSC, Reston VA office for a follow up and everything looks great! I am so relieved and thankful for the care I received. The front staff was also very friendly and caring throughout the process too. I recommend Dr. Kim for any sore throat and tonsillitis issues. read more

Under no circumstances will I ever come here again. Dr. Murray was actually really good, quick, and pretty thorough with my son. We scheduled surgery pretty quickly. I was told I would get a call 3-4 days before the surgery to get a time. In the meantime I proceeded with filling out the online forms and waited for my call. Today I called and spoke to Britney-she was disgustingly rude. She told me my surgery was cancelled because I never answered my phone. Mind you-they had my cell and work number as well as my sons fathers number and both of our emails. She transferred me to another lady who was even worse. This lady lied and told me they called and left numerous voicemails-she must have forgotten her lie because she then said when they called numerous times but my phone was disconnected-a lie. After going back and forth it seems that the surgery was really cancelled because of an insurance issue that was so minor it would have been resolved with a simple call to my insurance company. Actually it was resolved in less than 5 minutes on the phone with my insurance; however I now need a new surgeon because I refuse to deal with an office so incompetent and willing to lie instead of admitting they made a mistake. This put such a bad taste in my mouth. It's already stressful having to have your baby go through surgery-not interested in dealing with unnecessary unprofessionalism. read more

Every time I come here I wait at least 30 minutes before I'm seen. Twice it's been 45. Once, after 45 minutes, I left. Doctors and staff assume their time is more important than the kids who are missing school or parents who have jobs. Disrespectful and unacceptable. read more
