So most breweries are known for either of their beer or their food but rarely both. The other half focuses on their beer, which is outstanding if you like New England hazy IPAs. They are some of the best in the country. Their food is supplied by a food truck that's permanently located behind their beautiful building. The food consists of mostly bar type appetizers and sandwiches which is probably smart keeping things simple. The big draw here is their award-winning beer, which is outstanding. Flights would be a great way to see what you like but you really can't go wrong with any of their choices if you like hazy IPA's. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff there to help direct you to your best choices. They've recently added local finger Lakes wines for those who prefer not to drink beer.

One of my favorite all time breweries not just because the beer is great, but the people are amazing! Enter into a family atmosphere with warm welcomes and the spacious tasting room. They have trivia Thursday nights 6pm with Maeve and she is awesome! You can always taste a beer before you order or try a flight and enjoy the tastes of different hopped beers. They also have sours, n/a beer, other styles of beer, and wine. Check online for the food truck days and hours the food is delicious. If you prefer to enjoy your beverage outside the outdoor area is immense. Fire pit, picnic tables, cornhole, field to play football, kids love the open space, and dog friendly. If you are in the fingerlakes or Rochester area I highly recommend stopping in. And they have plenty of beer to go or growler fills. Say hi to Dan, Kaylee, Maeve, Eric for me. Cheers

Place is large and amazing. No food, no truck on Tuesday. Thursdays they start with food. Great craft beers. Broccoli was good and Cabbage. Service was friendly and attentive. Thumbs up. Place is nice inside. Looking forward to return to try their food truck. Yes, worth the stop.

Grilled PBJ 8/10 The chef recommended adding bacon... Great combo. Almost enough peanut butter, but could use a little thicker of a spread. Jelly was thin and scarce. Definitely needed some more. Special: Street Corn Salad 9/10 Shaved street corn, lime crema, Cotija, cilantro. Delicious! It was a little wet though, could use a touch more lime crema to coat all of the corn. It also had I think takin on it?

Gotta love citra week! Don't miss out!! ... just be careful where you park- a car got sideswiped on the driveway today shearing off their front bumper!

Nice place to go even in the rain ! They have a nice dining area With a ginormous awning so you don't get wet! My grandson was always envious of all the people taking their dogs so we decided to go and take my dogs he was very proud! We ordered some cheese and different specialty drinks!

A gorgeous place/ a must visit if you love Other Half beer. This place is like a cute boutique for IPA lovers. My significant other loves this beer so we had to stop when we drove through and had some time. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, casual yet upscale and dog friendly. They serve varieties of their own beer, local wines and some cocktails. There are also some very light snacks on the menu and food trucks on site during busy times. In the entrance there is literally a boutique with branded merchandise and beer to go. We picked up some goodies on the way out. Take a trip with the IPA lover in your life and they will thank you.

This place is beautiful - inside and out. Set on a large plot of beautiful country land with plenty of fire pits and fun and games outside (the games werent available to due COVID, but normally there is plenty to do!) There are plenty of tables and booths for small or large parties inside. There didn't appear to be any food menu available besides the small COVID required snack options - popcorn, meat sticks, pickle, etc. They did have a BBQ food truck fundraiser going on while we were there and the bartender said they almost always have some kind of food truck available. There is no table service so if you want a drink, you have to go up to the bar and order it. They have alot of different craft beer selections. I guess they normally have a sour "crumbler" that they switch out with different flavors, the one we had was a raspberry snowball one which tastes like a tootsie pop. There were many different porters available in pours or bottles and those were incredible! Great place to spend time with friends and family. Had a total blast and would love to go again!

One of my favorite places to drink beer! The IPA's are second to none! We used to have to drive to Brooklyn to get this excellent beer and now it's 1 hour from our home! I love it here! Great vibe, great bartenders and great people come here. If you love beer you must come.

Been enjoying their beer for some time now, just missing out on visiting their finger lakes location... well that happened over a girls weekend getaway. It was the highlight for me! Super excited pulling up , arrived just after they opened at 10am. Located in Bloomfield on 5 and 20, close to Canandaigua Lake. Checked out the inside first, small area to order beer to go and tshirts. There is a huge area of orders ready to be picked up... We went right up to Oder some tasty beers. Large chalkboard with all options, wish they offered a fight but they do have tasting sizes. Round one I went with choppin Broccoli, Patio Fun and no escape from wester ny. They did not disappoint, full of flavor and just on a different level than other beers. Took our drinks out back, to their large open area. So many picnic tables and barrel tables to sit relax and drink. Loved the overhead netting to help with shade. Large fire pit they had going.A few outside games available, ask staff for corn hole bags. We played a little as I enjoyed round 2, a tall sized patio fun Had to pick up some beers to go, a 4 pack of their 2.5 anniversary IPA (amazing) and a 4 pack of hot dogs are tacos ( very smooth Pilsner) picked up some tshirt too! Absolutely loved this brewery, can't wait to go back!

SO happy I finally made my way out to Bloomfield to experience Other Half! It such a special place with some amazing beers, views, staff, and dogs. I cannot wait to come back in the fall once the leaves have changed (it was already starting!) to sit and enjoy a beer with a view of the fall foliage. They don't technically do flights here, but I knew I wanted to order a wide variety of beers. I went with four 4oz pours and I think this is a great (though not terribly economic) way to experience OHBC's brews. The watermelon sour tasted like a jolly rancher and was my favorite after taste. The churro stout was...CRAZAY. At 14% ABV (didn't realize that until after) this beer packs a PUNCH! It tastes and drinks a little like syrup and weighed me down after three or four sips. The other two light beers I had (a citra and the bagel & schmear) were favorites and I can't wait to get back and try more ASAP. This brewery is SO creative and finds unique ways to connect with the communities they are in. I am obsessed with their can design and it took everything in me not to grab some merch. I know branding and design isn't everything (it is about the BEER), but I really like when bizzes who have the ability take the time to tell their story in every facet of the business. OH does that so successfully and I feel lucky to have them just a quick 30 minutes drive from ROC. Get there to enjoy the outdoors before the weather turns, y'all!

Never had a bad time here. Beers are spectacular and atmosphere is so casual and so classy at the same time. I count down the days until I can come back again!

Ask the Community - Other Half Brewing Company

    Do they allow dogs?

Yes, they have a large outdoor space!

Can you buy cans during the week? I'm making a Mon-Thu trip.

You can! But they won't necessarily have everything available like they do on the weekends.

I heard one can buy a little of this beer saturday morning, is that true? Where and what time?

Check Instagram, their release is Friday this week! 10am, dropping 8 cans. Although the tap room isn't open, they release from this location mostly.

Hit wineries, a distillery and a brewery which was nice. Driver (Darryl) was a very nice guy even if he forgot my name and started calling me 'Steve' halfway through. That was pretty funny for the guys even if it was at my expense. Bus had plenty of room too, and we stayed on schedule without it being overbearing or annoying. Price point was fair given this was a 1/2 day tour with food/alcohol included. Brewery and distillery options couldn't have been better. Wagner brewing makes one of the best examples of hefeweizens I've had anywhere. Really great tap room overlooking the lake as well. Got a cheese plate there which was packed like shit in to-go containers, which belied the really good array of cheese, meat and accoutrements it included. Finger Lakes distilling was shockingly good. Their repertoire of whiskeys, including aged options, different styles (ie: pot stilled, applejack) and experiment stuff (cannoli whiskey) was superb. Had whiskey infused cigars here too which were awesome. I bought a shit ton of stuff from their. Surprisingly, I wasn't as thrilled with the wineries. Zugibe was respectable but paled to others nearby like Thirsty Owl; what threw me off was that the reds were much better than the whites there. Food there was gyros, which was odd but oddly good at least. Belhurst was probably the worst single winery I've ever been to, with the worst wine I've tried. Wine had a soapy taste and was cloyingly sweet. Bartender was snotty, rattled off some canned crap she memorized that was largely irrelevant, and didn't really know anything about wine. Place was largely a freaking gift shop, so no clue why they thought this was a good addition. Would use these guys again as Darryl was a sweetheart, and maybe just direct them a bit more in terms of what we're looking for. I am 100% fine with the emphasis being on beer/liquor, however the groom-to-be was more of a wine person in this case. Very workable either way.

We started out at VB Brewery, where we enjoyed our flight of awesome beer, and then had a tour of the brewing facility itself (where we got a secret extra tasting!). From there, we headed to Lost Borough, where the beer was equally amazing (and a few of us may have ordered from Sticky Lips right around the corner, which is totally encouraged!). The final stop of the day was over in Webster at Knucklehead Craft Brewing. This brewery had my favorite beer of the day, the Knockout Stout. This brewery also has a kitchen where they serve some awesome food as well! I would definitely recommend TourRoc to anybody who is interested in craft beer, or to anybody who is interested in learning more about it and the Rochester beer scene in general. Probably the best thing about TourRoc is you literally just have to show up and you're set. Your ticket price includes EVERYTHING - luxury transportation, a flight of beer at each brewery (or for those of you who are gluten free, wine, cider, or cocktails as available), snacks and water on the tour bus, and all tips for the driver and tour director. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages (alcoholic or not) on the tour bus as well! It's obvious that the detail that went into creating the TourRoc experience that the owners truly love Rochester and have a passion for local craft beer. Can't wait to go on my next tour!
