This is the closest parking facility if you are attending anything at the San Diego Convention…read moreCenter. You pay prior to entry and depending on the event, you may have a coupon (must be printed), or able to make a reservation. Prices are dynamic based on the event being hosted. It can range from $15 to $50 and on the day I used it, it was $25 with no in and out privileges. Multiple levels and very clean. The elevator was out of service but I was able to secure parking near the stairwell and it was a quick walk up and I was in the convention center in 2 minutes. I felt safe parking here and would use this facility again.

Oh Ace Parking, why must you put a damper on our relationship that has been so good for so many…read moreyears? While I understand that the city of San Diego has made changes making parking for events more difficult for San Diegans, I didn't think my beloved Ace would too. While still one of the inexpensive options for parking downtown during events, even time ranges have changed and made my downtown adventures more expensive than they have ever been before. Event parking used to be good for 10-12 hours and now the event begin time is often not early enough before the event and the covered time varies between 5-9 hours and isn't consistent for all events. Make it make sense? Especially while the reservation itself says event rate good until midnight. We want to go down early and/or stay after events giving business to the surrounding establishments however each time we leave past the "event departure" we don't know what we're going to get. For instance, we stayed 2 hours past the "departure" time and scan our parking ticket, $11. Scan the QR code we paid $16 for through the Ace parking website and tells me my balance is $10 which is the nightly rate despite me not exceeding 12 hours. Looking at the website, it even states event parking is good for 12 hours so WTF? They also now only reserve a select amount of spaces for people to pay for in person before stating sold out while parking is still available to purchase online. Stars still for being one of the least expensive event parking close by however i will complain about it every time we leave late and have to give additional funds bringing us closer to the cost of all the more expensive lots or continue dealing with the trolley more, which I guess is what the city of San Diego is pushing us all to do anyway. :( #endrant

I live right next to this establishment. And let me tell you, the view from my bedroom window down into this lot, is for PRIME people watching. Now, being that I live downtown, I understand the importance of being quite when I leave places if it's past 11pm. Some people go to bed at reasonable times, and I don't want to interrupt their deep sleep. For me on the other hand, I don't mind the noise all that much. It's not keeping me from sleeping, because I usually get the majority of my work, done from the hours of 11pm to 4am, so I'm up anyways. But I feel that this parking lot, brings out the worst of downtown. Some of my neighbors don't take the noise so lightly. A few weeks ago, around 3am a lady yelled down to ask a group of men to be a little quieter, and how did they respond? They threw a huge rock straight into her window. It's gotten to the point, where I am down for a little sling shot through the window, or water balloons from the roof. I don't mind the kids hanging out in the lot, but when it's 2am and you got two gold cars with butterfly doors, bumping "stanky leg" for half hour straight while ghost riding the whip, (not an exaggeration) something has to be done, right?

Around 8 to 10 dollars a day. Security is minimal. Fences, lights. Good luck!
