Nestled in Wynwood, the restaurant has a chic yet welcoming atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's the kind of place that feels lively without being overwhelming. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. Every staff member was warm and attentive, and our server, Radomere, truly elevated the experience. Managing a party of 12 is no easy task, yet everything flowed seamlessly. He was attentive, personable, and made sure our celebration felt special from start to finish. With a group our size, we took full advantage of the menu. We shared oysters, escargot, crispy artichokes, leeks, beet salad, French onion soup, tuna carpaccio, steak tartare, and a beautifully curated cheese platter. Every appetizer arrived impeccably presented and packed with flavor. It was one of those rare meals where every dish earned compliments around the table. The cocktails and wine were just as enjoyable especially the dirty martinis, which were a hit with our group. For the main course, we ordered everything from the cheeseburger and mussels to the lemon pasta, spaghetti, steak, and chicken. Once again, every plate was beautifully executed and, more importantly, absolutely delicious. There wasn't a weak link in the meal. Dessert was the perfect finale. The dark chocolate mousse was rich, silky, and easily my favorite, though the profiteroles and lemon tart were excellent as well. Great food is one thing, but when you pair it with exceptional service, it makes for a memorable dining experience. This was an easy five-star visit, and I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The ambiance is vibrant and has a lovely, authentic French feel. The host was very welcoming and made a great first impression when we walked in. The Food: Given the reputation, we expected the kitchen to deliver, but most of the dishes fell flat: French Onion Soup: Just okay nothing special compared to other versions I've had. Artichoke with Aioli: Good! The aioli had great flavor and was easily the highlight of the savory dishes. New York Strip Steak: Very disappointing. It lacked flavor, felt dry, and was just "whatever." Pastis Burger: Like the steak, it was underwhelming and missed the mark on flavor. Crème Brûlée: Saved the ending it was executed well and tasted great. The Service: Our server was polite enough, but completely disengaged. He didn't offer any suggestions or attempt to sell any specials we had to ask all the questions ourselves. To top it off, after we ordered coffee alongside our dessert, he simply dropped the check on the table and vanished. We felt rushed, like he was just waiting to clock out and go home.

The journey begins at the charming entrance, where host Stefanie greets you with genuine warmth, instantly easing you into what becomes an unforgettable night. Inside, the room opens into a sleek, futuristic space defined by dramatic black and red accents, moody lighting, and wood-grained counter seating that puts you front and center to the open kitchen action. At the bar and counter, the experience steps up even further. Cocktail offerings like the Elixir del Sol (Patrón Reposado, Chambord, and bright passion fruit) or citrus-forward creations set a vibrant tone for the meal. Leslie and Principe brings incredible energy and deep knowledge to the table, seamlessly guiding you through every course. The meal kicks off with an indulgent Foie Gras Royale starter featuring rich parmesan foam, leading into an exceptional lineup of entrees: La Pintade: A refined guinea hen terrine elevated by black truffle, chilled consommé, zucchini, and golden beets. Les Poireaux: Tender, wasabi-braised leeks balanced with fresh radish, dill, and egg yolk. For the main course, Le Flétan delivers a pristine, olive oil-poached halibut in a delicate clam-vermouth broth. All of the courses paired with the finest Albariño wine, Carralcola and Rose. The grand finale, Le Chocolat Sensation, pairs rich Guanaja chocolate crémeux with smooth white chocolate ice cream and an oreo crumble. L'Atelier hits every mark, blending world-class culinary technique with vibrant, unforgettable hospitality.

We…read moreenjoyed watching the chefs work with such precision and hearing their "Yes, Chef" responses throughout the evening. There are also smaller tables around the restaurant, but you would miss much of the theater of watching the chefs at work. Another advantage of sitting at the counter was the remarkable pacing: as we finished our plates, they were often cleared within seconds and the next course arrived within minutes. In addition to the Miami Spice menu, there was a four-course seasonal Summer Menu, which we ordered, and an eight-course Evolution Menu, all with optional wine pairings. The Miami Spice and Evolution had fixed courses. For each of the four courses on the Summer Menu, we had several choices. There were also additional courses, including bread and butter, a foie gras starter with Parmesan foam, and a cantaloupe sorbet palate cleanser. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we were also presented with a stunning raspberry and white chocolate heart dessert to share. I normally avoid foie gras out of compassion for the goose, but there wasn't an alternative offered. I have to admit, however, that this one was delicious. The essence of Maury "Vieilles Vignes" gave it a faint caramel-like flavor that paired beautifully with the richness of the foie gras. And the hot cheese bread is not to be missed. One bite with the softened, creamy butter and I was already thinking, "Okay, I'm glad I came." For our first courses, we both chose the Japanese hamachi with toasted almond emulsion and winter citrus. It was beautifully presented and a light, gentle way to begin. For the second course, I ventured further outside my usual comfort zone with the Japanese sea urchin, served with onion custard, asparagus, and coffee essence, while my husband chose the leeks braised in wasabi with radish, dill, and egg yolk. After snorkeling and seeing sea urchins in their natural habitat, I appreciated the opportunity to finally taste a really good one. The leeks were also amazing. I was still a little hungry when we reached the main course, but that was about to change. I chose the olive oil-poached halibut with clam-vermouth broth and a spring vegetable bouquet. My husband had the Mediterranean branzino with lemon balm emulsion, crème fraîche, and a caviar-stuffed tomato. The halibut was an exceptionally delicate fish in a light and genuinely delicious broth. I had been worried the clam-vermouth broth might taste overly fishy, but it didn't at all, and I savored every drop. The signature mashed potatoes served alongside the meal were decadently rich, buttery, and filling. For dessert, we both chose Le Chocolat Sensation -- Guanaja chocolate crémeux with white chocolate ice cream and Oreo cookie crumble. It arrived beneath a beautiful, thin disk of chocolate concealing the chocolate, cookie crumble, and ice cream below. If you had any hunger remaining, it was certainly cured by this point. Our anniversary raspberry and white chocolate heart complemented the flavors beautifully and made for a lovely photograph and memory of the evening. Our waitstaff, including Oriana, was absolutely outstanding. Service was attentive and polished and each dish was carefully introduced as it arrived. Combined with the extraordinary choreography of the open kitchen, the pacing made the entire dinner feel seamless. This was our first two-Michelin-star restaurant in the United States, and I'm glad we experienced it. It wasn't simply dinner; sitting at the Chef's counter gave us a front-row seat to the precision, creativity, and teamwork required to produce food at this level.

First off, the service really stood out to me. Everyone was so welcoming, attentive and genuinely nice. I especially loved seeing how much the staff helped each other. You could literally see the teamwork throughout the restaurant, and I love that because it makes such a difference in the overall experience. Everything flowed, the food came out in a timely manner, and we always felt taken care of. We originally sat outside because the patio is adorable, but Miami started Miami-ing and it was just a little too hot for us lol, so we moved inside. They were super accommodating about it. Also, a little warning from your Yelp friend: downtown Miami parking is atrocious if you don't know the area. Save yourself the character development and Uber. Nowwww, the food. I ordered the passionfruit smoothie, pain au chocolat and the steak & eggs. When I tell you the steak & eggs is a REAL meal, come hungry! It's tender short ribs over roasted potatoes with two sunny-side-up eggs, cilantro dressing and a delicious sauce on the side. The short ribs were incredibly soft and tender, almost like a brisket situation, and the portion of meat was HUGE. Honestly, it could easily be shared. I ate about half before my stomach politely told me we were finished and the rest came home with me. The potatoes were delicious, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and I really appreciated all the different flavors in the dish. Everything worked so well together. Definitely not your basic little steak-and-eggs brunch situation. The pain au chocolat was approximately the size of my head... and I have a big head, so please understand the measurements here lol. It was really good! I do wish it had been served warm and had a little more chocolate inside, but I'd absolutely order it again. Next time I'd probably get it by itself with a latte or hot chocolate and have myself a cute little pastry moment. And the passionfruit smoothie? Soooo good. Refreshing, flavorful and not overly sweet, which I appreciated because we don't need all that extra sugar. We have figures to watch around here. My mom really enjoyed herself too, which made the experience even better. Between the food, generous portions, cute atmosphere and especially the service, Café Bastille definitely gave us a reason to come back. Until next brunch... mwah! S/O Jeffrey our wonderful server!
