We called twice today Fri. 8/28/20 to come for dinner and how things were being handled due to COVID. The first call was to make a reservation we were told 1st come no reservations, the 2nd call about the byob. We arrived at 7:45 a Friday night and were told you were closed. This is a cute place but I came for whole belly clams ... they were thinner clam strips and chewy, not fresh .... This might be a good fast food experience for Ipswich clams but if you want a better taste experience.... try Seafood Sam's. Chowder was canned quality ....... Dining on deck with picnic tables was charming... Staff was good. French fries were good... Got off the Whalewatch this am and advised some hungry peeps that while this was our parking lot... do not make this your lunch spot if you are a connoisseur of whole belly clams... this is perfect if you are searching for McDonalds Seafood...... ..I wish you great success. Love it here!!! There isn't much seating outside, and the seating doesn't have the best view, so my family usually gets this as take out and eats it at home. That being said, the seafood is some of the best I've had on Cape Cod (and my family has been here for over 21 years). You can order ahead for pick up if you decide to take it to go, or you can grab a table if you dine there (be aware, it's only outdoor seating you don't sit inside). Love love love the food and would 100% recommend if you're looking for quick and easy seafood that tastes delicious. read more

We were not big fans. We ordered fish tacos, broiled scrod, oyster sliders, lobster bisque and chicken teriyaki. The fish tacos lacked flavor, as did the scrod. The tacos had some random bad lettuce in it. The lobster bisque had good flavor but no lobster hunks. The chicken teriyaki was so salty that my daughter could hardly eat it. Very disappointed- I received the wrong meal not once, but twice. When I first told the waitress I had the wrong meal, she said nothing, went back to the kitchen, and comes out a few minutes later with a second wrong meal. She walked away before I could say this was still not correct. I didn't want to make a fuss, so I kept the second meal. I know I placed my order correctly as it was shown on the receipt. Best clam chowder!! The main menu is great but they shine in their specials menu. My husband had a seared tuna plate with a seaweed salad and wasabi dressing. Salivating just thinking about it. This is a place the locals know about. If you're in this area, you should go. The food is very good and the view is nice from their picnic tables. I got the 2 fish tacos--pieces of breaded cod with roasted corn and some nice creme that had just a little kick. My boyfriend and I wandered here craving lobster rolls but we weren't starving. We just wanted a lil lobster to satisfy our craving. We ended up splitting their special: lobster bisque and lobster roll with sides of cole slaw and French fries. Toasted flour tortillas, filled with cabbage, corn, and tomatoes, topped with a big piece of fried white fish, and finished with a creamy spicy sauce. Simple perfection. As a local year-rounder, I have to say that when they are open, they have great fresh fish in their market. We also love to sit outside and order lunch at the window off their deck where you can feel the ocean breeze and simply relax. The prepared food is pricey but the bisque is out of this world delicious. We do find though the rolls their lobster rolls etc are served on are hard and less than fresh. It's the best place by far to order lobster's cooked to perfection for take-home at any time you request a pick-up. I treat myself and my family to big lobsters which they'll crack for you that I take-home every birthday! The search for the perfect lobster roll is over. Its here and I couldn't be happier to have found it. Sweet lobster meat piled high, a little celery for crunch, and a perfect roll slightly warm and crispy on the outside. Heaven! Stopped for lunch when we were leaving the cape after our first trip there. Unlike a lot of places like this, the choices were plentiful and included options for our non-seafood-eating 15 year old (Finding Nemo meets the law of unintended consequences). My wife got the dayboat fish fry, which she says was great. I got the lazy man's lobster, which i expected to be a picked steamed lobster, but it was picked and broiled. Still yummy. My daughter got a lobster roll which was quite good but not really seasoned. All in all, while not inexpensive, it was really good and worth the stop. read more

We went here because it looked like it was on the water (it is very close but you can't see the water; the open air deck seating lols out over a street on one side and parking lot on the other). It also had 4 star rating. I think 3 stars would be highest I could possibly justify but maybe it is just what we ordered. The soda was flat, the milkshake was flavorless, the burger was way over cooked (dry, hard and tasteless), the chicken fingers and fries were just ok. The lobster bisque was good enough (and had a good amount of lobster meat). The Caesar salad was average at best but the crab salad we ordered with it was pretty good. read more

I'm one of those "in a word, "YUM!" people, but it is really true here! The place is small and informal, with outdoor seating, except for an emergency small table or 2 inside. That means you get personal attention and can breathe in the sea air as you dine on delicious, fresh fish, with every accoutrement also fresh and delicious.
