We arrived early and we were the first to enter, alone, unsure what to expect. A smug "yes we are open" shrug was our greeting. When asked what his favorite was, his response "I am the chef." He seemed to get frustrated with the second group asking lots of questions until something sparked. Eventually he took a selfie with us. Expect the unexpected with the experience, but enjoy the process. The food was wonderful and this was my most memorable meal in my last trip to Italy. I tell everyone I know about it.

The poor girl sitting next to me became Zeb's adversary of the day, and when she asked the difference between two pork dishes, he loudly insulted her, and explained the dishes as if she was a two-year old. And the poor girl, maybe 25, didn't know that you could just order a primi for lunch. My stomach is suddenly churning just writing this review. This was the highlight of the meal my wife, had the white truffle pasta and a cream sauce. Normally,she doesn't like a cream sauce, but this was the exception a week later and she still can't stop talking about how good the pasta and the sauce was. Onto the main course, my wife had the Seabass, which was cooked perfectly, drizzled, and vegetables. Amazing! The most underwhelming part of my meal, were my lamb chops. I think they gave me the thinnest lamb chops, like they were leftovers ! not only that, but they cooked it way too fast, kind of a metaphor to their service, which was fast. This was evident and the texture. And the sinews and small fats did not break down with the meat a true sign of cooking the lamb too fastly and too thoroughly. We had dessert, tiramisu, which was average for the city of Florence. When a nice place is recommended by the concierge, you don't expect to be served disappointment with a hefty bill.
