Bread and EVOO
Natalie F.

My first time here and the reviews are right. Service is immediate. As soon as I sat at the bar I was offered water and asked what I wanted to drink. As soon as spots cleared they were wiped down and set up. Tony was behind the bar. He was the right amount of attentive, offering suggestions, a generous pour of wine and appreciative of my visit. I started with a classic Negroni. I asked what would pair well with carpaccio and then tasted and was given a generous pour of Chianti. I had a girl dinner of bread and EVOO and carpaccio. Both arrived quickly. The bread was like an airy crispy pizza bread served with olive oil. The carpaccio had the expected parm and arugula but had a creamy aioli that worked really well. There was enough bread to takeaway and I was offered olive oil to go with it, a nice touch. While many of the restaurants along this stretch of Third Street aren't busy this was a vibrant and energetic spot for a Tuesday night. The patio space, indoor seating and limited bar area were all filled. As the bar spots emptied others filled the spots right away. The person next to me at the bar said it was one of his favorite restaurants and where he brings out of town guests. I barely touched the surface of their menu but what I had and the level of service will bring me back again to try more. I think I've found a new regular spot.

Quattro Formaggi

Really good italian food. We came here to meet with some friends and saw that this place was highly rated for italian food so we made a reservation here. First of all, the parking situation is pretty dire. You have to either park on the street with meter parking (2 hour limit) or find some side street to park on. Just to note, you can't park in the neighborhood in the back without a permit. Make sure to check the parking signs! If you can find parking on S Crescent Heights Blvd, I would take it instantly. Service was top tier, they would keep checking on you, clear plates, fill water. All the staff were wonderful. We decided to order the Quattro Formaggi pinsa and the Tortellini Di Carne. Both were great! The pinsa had a nice chew to it and is not like a traditional pizza. Also, the tortellini was delicious. The meat is slightly dry, but the flavor was wonderful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The restaurant interior was beautiful and had great lighting. It was a hot day, so we opted to sit inside and we loved the natural lighting. The prices of this place is slightly high for the amount of food you get, but you are in Beverly Grove. I do wish the parking situation can be easier, but overall, this place is worth a visit.

Oste located at Beverly Grove is just great Italian food. We love their mussels. Their pizza is just great. Everything is great. The service is so nice. They are fast and will take very good care of you. They know the menu well and will help you with any specials they may have. The place is super pretty and always clean. It looks newer, I don't know when it opened. The bathroom are great. It is just a very comfortable place to be. We also love their Grilled prime NY steak 16oz which has arugula, Parmigiano with salsa verde. The Chicken Milanese is always a winner. Made with breaded chicken breast, roasted garlic potatoes, caper brown butter, lemon, arugula and a great Parmigiano salad. Get their Truffle Fries with Truffle Aioli on the side and some sauteed mushrooms as well. You will love it all.

A friend took me to Oste for a belated birthday dinner, and since it was my first time there, I was curious to see what all the buzz was about. We arrived a little early for our reservation, and even though they were busy, they seated us right away outside. Our table was along the walkway, which wouldn't necessarily be my first choice next time, but I appreciated that they got us settled without making us wait around. The outdoor area had a relaxed neighborhood feel, and it was nice being outside while the evening was warm. We started with the Fiori di Zucca. The squash blossoms were stuffed with ricotta and Parmigiano, lightly fried, and served with marinara. They were good, although they weren't the dish I found myself thinking about afterward. That honor goes to the mussels. I wasn't expecting them to be my favorite thing we ordered, but they absolutely were. The broth was flavorful enough that I kept going back to it after the mussels were gone, which is usually my personal test for whether a mussel dish has done its job. We also shared the Pappardelle alla Vaccinara with braised oxtail ragù, Parmigiano, and rosemary oil. The ragù had a deep, meaty flavor, and I liked how the rosemary oil cut through some of the richness. It was a solid pasta, but the mussels still won the night for me. My cocktail was light and refreshing, with cucumber and mint, and worked especially well with dinner outside. Everything we ordered was flavorful, and the meal made for a lovely belated birthday dinner. Parking around this stretch of 3rd can be a little tricky. I ended up finding street parking a few blocks away, but Oste does offer valet, which would have saved me the neighborhood parking hunt. For a first visit, I'm glad I finally got to try Oste. It was a relaxed, flavorful dinner and a really nice way to celebrate a belated birthday.

Frutti di mare pasta

We loved our experience at OSTE! Service was so attentive and friendly, and the space itself feels so charming. There's both indoor seating and a cute outdoor patio. Street parking only, which can be kinda tough in this neighborhood. What we tried: - Baby gem lettuce caesar - with parmigiana, garlic bread crumbs, chives. It was perfectly seasoned and dressed and with a perfectly cheesy topping! A simple dish but executed so well - Prosciutto pizza - with mozzarella, prosciutto, stracciatella, arugula, truffle oil. Perfection! I love proscuitto pizza and the truffle oil was the cherry on top. The dough was so chewy too! - Frutti di mare pasta - homemade squid ink tagliatelle, tiger prawns, calamari, mussels, Mariana. A great and flavorful marinara seafood pasta! A large portion size suitable for sharing as well

Risotto Ai Funghi

My friend and I were seated immediately on a weekend afternoon. While there were plenty of options that captured our attention on the menu, we tried their patate pizza and risotto al funghi, which both were delicious. The patate pizza was my favorite. The crust was crisp, and the thinly sliced potatoes were seasoned right and savory and comforting. THe risotto al funghi was creamy and rich and a bit on the saltier side, but I loved the earthy mushroom flavor, which complemented the pizza dish well. Welcome atmosphere and dishes with great flavors!

A Tale of Two Italian Nights: Oste is Pure Magic. MASA of Echo Park fell short. After a disappointing service experience at MASA of Echo Park the night before, Oste in WeHo completely blew my daughter and I away. We went in blind to meet a big, chaotic crew--7 humans (including a 3-year-old, 7-year-old, 14-year-old, and a 30-something couple) plus two dogs (one large, one small). By the end of the night, OSTE solidified itself as my favorite Italian restaurant in LA. Every single dish and drink was tasty. We started with loads of warm bread with EVOO, the Burrata Pappa al Pomodoro, and tender meatballs topped with stracciatella. For mains, we shared two stellar pinsas (Anchovy and Margherita), rich Risotto ai Funghi, the seafood squid ink pasta (Frutti di Mare), and classic red-sauce pasta for the kiddos. The drinks were just as hit-heavy: the 30-something couple enjoyed a chilled Lambrusco, the dad of the two younger girls went with an Aperol Spritz, the two youngest girls loved their lemonades, and my daughter and I had some exceptionally tasty mocktails. I cannot say enough about the staff and management of OSTE--they earned every single star. When my daughter and I arrived first, we couldn't find the reservation (it was under a friend's last name, not a first name), so the host kindly put us on the waitlist. Our friends' "10 minutes away" stretched into a half-hour, so we explored some nearby vintage shops. When we checked back in (about 15 minutes after getting on the list), the manager/owner said they could seat my daughter and I inside early so we could relax, sip our mocktails, and munch on bread while we waited for our friends. Then came the curve ball: our friend arrived with a large Labradoodle. Their other small dog was on its way with the rest of the crew. Throwing a two-dog curveball at a busy restaurant could ruin a host's night, but the team didn't blink. They were incredibly gracious, quickly pivoting to set up a table for our whole group (including the dogs) on the patio. Throughout the meal, the servers were genuinely warm, fast, and attentive without ever being pushy. An casual yet upscale vibe with indoor-outdoor seating and a lively, welcoming energy. Between the stained glass windows and carefully selected colorful tiles, you feel instantly transported out of LA. It's vibrant, charming, and effortlessly cool. Parking was a breeze, too--we easily scored free side street parking half a block away on a Sunday around 6:00 PM (though they also have valet and street meter parking). Amazing food, fantastic hospitality, and the best vibes. OSTE rocks! We will definitely be back and back and back and back ... again.

BABY GEM LETTUCE CAESAR

3.5/5 Solid Italian Spot - BABY GEM LETTUCE CAESAR (4/5) Solid caesar salad. Fresh and flavorful. - POLPO AL CAVOLFIORE (4/5) Well cooked octopus... very tender. I don't like olives and didn't mind this. - BURRATA PAPPA AL POMODORO (3/5) The simplest option on the menu and I wish it had more wow maybe with some whole cherry tomatoes mixed in or big fresh slices. - CARBONARA PINSA (2.5/5) I think they are famous for these flatbread pizza dishes but I found the bread a bit too hard (+ greasy ) and not enough cheese to make up for the lack of sauce. - TIRAMISU (3/5) standard I walked in on a weekday night for a seat at the bar and didn't wait long for two people. Street parking if you are willing to walk a block otherwise valet.

Nat N.

This place is ALWAYS amazing! Went for my graduation dinner in 2025 and have gone back a few times after. Consistently delicious, fresh, and great service! Keep it up and never change please, I love it here

Natalia O.

Solid Italian spot with a variety of tasty pizza and pasta dishes. The service was great and the ambiance was really cute (we sat outside which was really nice, but the indoor area also looked cute). The eggplant anti pasta was so tasty and fresh with warm, buttered bread. The short rib pasta was quite small for the price but very tasty. I enjoyed the pizza toppings and crust.

MENU as of JULY 2026

PARKING (3/5): They have metered street parking. (No valet during lunch). I didn't have an issue finding street parking during lunchtime, but I'm sure it's difficult during peak dinner hours. At least they offer valet! AMBIANCE (4/5): Very cute indoor outdoor area. I feel like I've transported to another country. Stained glass windows, carefully selected colorful tile, beautiful! SERVICE (5/5): It wasn't busy when I came. I was seated promptly, everything was very quick and efficient. They are so genuinely nice. They are attentive, but not pushy. Excellent service! FOOD (4/5): $29 SOFIA MUSSELS: garlic & white wine. Simple, but delicious! Can't go wrong with this classic. $27 PAPPARDELLE ALLA VACCINARA: braised oxtail with thick pasta. This is the most popular for a reason! OVERALL (4/5): Service was amazing! Food was amazing! Will definitely be back. Felt very welcomed here.

Nothing too fancy. The seating is very casual & so is the service. The food is really what is dragging down my review. The PAPPARDELLE ALLA VACCINARA is a beef ragu pasta. It needed salt badly & overall tasted watery to me. The LASAGNA AL FORNO was actually really good so I recommend ordering that. The BRANZINO was not it.. it's just two skinny fish laid on a plate with some sauce. Not what you'd expect. The MUSSELS were good. Nothing too special.

Carpaccio
Caitlyn B.

Walked by this place and decided to stop in for lunch, the service was great and the vibes were great. Loved sitting outside. We ordered drinks and they were delicious. We both ordered different pastas, the pastas were okay I would say they were nothing that blew me away, but definitely still good. The star of the show was the carpaccio, it was probably the best carpaccio I have ever eaten (I love it). I highly recommend ordering the carpaccio if it is your style!

I'm allergic to eggs and nuts - does the pizza or pasta have any or come in contact with eggs or nuts?

What is the noise level? Can one hold a conversation without shouting?

I went on a Monday night, it was pretty full, and we sat on the outside patio. We were able to have nice conversation with no noise issues.

Is the patio dog friendly?

Yes

Can you take your own cake for a birthday?

Yes

Is there any bar seating for solo diners?

Yes there is!

Is it acceptable to bring a child/toddler?

Yes! I brought a 6 month old - not a lot of room for a stroller tho so bring a little one if possible.

How much is valet parking, and is it cash only?

$12

Do you guys serve non alcoholic beverage's?

Yes, they do

Age requirement For this place?

No. But not very kid friendly.

Do they have gf pizza or pasta?

Hello, sorry our pinsa and pasta do have gluten in it. Thanks for inquiring. Best

Is your Resy working? I don't see any reservations available.

They take reservations for 4 people or more. You have to call them.

Any idea if they could accommodate a large group of 17 family members in for the holidays? They don't answer their phone...

What parking is nearby and is it difficult to find a spot on a weeknight?

Hello, we do have valet parking, or street parking it's also an option but at times could be hard, definitely easier during the week than weekends.…

Do they take reservations?? No one answers the phone and I don't see anything on their website?

I don't believe they take reservations but they have a decent outside area so there won't be a long wait.

There is a cute little bar and a cozy space with the perfect amount of tables inside. There is also a wonderful patio with plenty of outdoor seating. Our waiter, Lokahi, took such great care of us and was so warm, friendly and helpful with his suggestions.... But I have to say, I think that no matter what we ordered, it would have been great! We started with the little gem Caesar salad, the brussel sprouts and the patatas bravas... all were sooooo good! The salad was simple, crispy and fresh with delicious tomatoes, the perfect amount of Parmesan, and a superb Caesar dressing. The patatas bravas was equally as good - slightly crispy potatoes with a great tomato sauce that had a hint of spice and was incredibly flavorful! And the brussel sprouts were perfect - not oily, plenty of flavor and overall rounded out our apps perfectly. For dinner we each had the Salt Spring Mussels with a side of fries to share... the mussels were amazing, the broth delicious and the side of bread that they serve with them is the perfect addition to soak up all the savory broth. The fries were cooked perfectly and were seasoned just right! I have to say that Melanie is without a doubt one of the best dinner experiences that we have had in our 11 years of being in LA. From the food and service to the overall experience, I would give Melanie 10 stars if I could. Needless to say, I would HIGHLY recommend Melanie as I know that you will have an amazing meal with equally top notch service as well! We will 100% be coming back again and again!!!

I didn't make it here until March 2026 and after my first visit, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night, with a last minute reservation I'd made on Resy. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we came in around 5:30ish. A lot of the tables were empty. They had both indoor and outdoor dining available, but the majority of the seats were indoor. The ambiance here is dark and chic, it reminded me very much of restaurants in NYC. It would make for a good spot for a date night or girls' night out. We made it here in time to order one thing from their happy hour menu, the tater tots. These were heavy but moreish, it was hard to stop eating them even when my stomach was telling me I was full. We also shared the corn, which I believe may have been a special/seasonal dish. It will go down as one of the best corn dishes I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My husband got the burger for his main and I got the mussels. The mussels were pretty fresh and silky, and were overall excellent, but I didn't love the broth they came in. My husband's burger was fantastic. It's one of the best burgers I've eaten at a restaurant in LA. Service was lovely and efficient. I'm looking forward to dining here again, and would highly recommend trying it.

Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. The tuna is by far the most imaginative. Again, Chef Tara and the back of the house nailed the texture and I loved the hints of crunchy celery. The capers injected tiny bursts of salt and tartness. The only moderation I'd consider is slightly crisping / toasting the sandwich bread -- but the tuna melt sando is great as it is. It was very cheesy, and the combination of the mushrooms and cheese made it a standout for us. We ended our night with the Panna Cotta, which wasn't too sweet, but overall felt a little underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal. Service/Ambiance: The service was great! When we first walked in, it wasn't too busy, but the restaurant did start to fill up later into our meal. Even with it getting busier, our waiter continued to check in on us and made sure we were taken care of. Overall: We had a great experience celebrating our birthdays here! The food came out quickly, the service was attentive, and everything we tried was enjoyable. I can't wait to come back and try some of the other dishes!
