The food diversity Chico didn't know we were missing. Food is phenomenal. I grew up with a Korean friend and been missing a lot of these foods her mama made us. This makes up for it. Awkward ordering, but the FOOD. I had a few times from the truck but now love that they have a spot. Unfortunately, prices will make this a treat more than anything, but I hope they make it. Three words.... HOT STONE BIBIMBAP!!!! For Dine in Only; it comes with a colorful array of korean prepared veggies and a choice of protein and a fried egg. Iykyk , but those that don't, that hot stone gives you this crunchy rice at the bottom that has also soak some gochujang. Gochujang was spicy and flavorful, not that water down crap. Kimchi Sundabu had an Exceptionally well broth, was very addictive. The hidden soft poached egg yolk in it was a luscious surprise. I'm so happy to have a good Korean restaurant in Chico! Stone bowl Beef bibimbop is tasty, just the right amount of spice. Kimbap was super fresh with nice sesame aroma. The flavors are authentic. I'll definitely be going back to try more of the menu soon. Went for lunch, and with the big windows it's well lit. The decor is very modern, and the kitchen (which is open and visible when ordering) is pristinely clean. I hope the other foodies of Chico discover this place soon. read more

Delicious! This location is walking distance to my house and has made it easy to become a regular. Food is reasonably priced and they have a variety for when you're not exactly sure what you want, you can get a bit of everything. I shared a chicken plate, sushi, soup, and and tea. I am a Korean American that was visiting Chico and was very excited to try this restaurant! As soon as we walked in, we weren't even greeted but the first thing the lady said was "what do you want?" It caught us off guard of the tone and the attitude she gave us. We ordered Jjajangmyeon it tooked 20-30 mins to prepare the dish when they were no one else there or no other order that were being prepared. The food was okay but the price is INSANE! I cannot believe what they charge for this dish. Even kimbap was extremely pricey! Overall, food was okay but definitely not worth the money at all. Service was horrible which is why I gave one star. If the service was at least the bare minimum and we were treated with respect, I would have given more stars. Definitely do not recommend this place as a Korean American. read more

A huge Korean restaurant fan, I go often to K town and sottel in LA. This presentation and flavors is better than all. So happy to have great Korean cuisine in Chico. Salad has perfect dressing and fresh and clean. Kimchi is perfect. The spicy flavor and temp all on par. Clean, cozy seats. Service is kind and genuine. First visit to this gem I ordered the teriyaki chicken...so juicy and tender! The next time, it was a must to go again and I ordered the beef bulgogi and it was incredible!! Both times they served so much food I took half home for another meal. The appetizers were so delicious as well. $18 for chicken japchae which feels kinda pricey but it could just be due to inflation at this point idk anymore. Anyway I've always been a huge fan or Korean food and they have the best Korean food I've found in butte county so far. They used to be the food truck in the parking lot of 8th and main and have recently moved to this location ( I left town for a while and was wondering where they went but was pleasantly surprised to see them here). Food quality hasn't changed at all during the move and is still pretty incredible. 10/10 if you want quality Korean come here read more

Great food and best Taro boba, I can actually taste the taro flavor instead of a bunch of syrup like some places. I missed Enjoy Teriyaki when it closed and glad Oshio Teriyaki finally has their own place. This is the only way I can get authentic Korean food instead of going all the way in Sacramento. I just wish the food prices were a bit lower. It's pretty expensive. read more

Tried out this new fast casual Korean place in Chico for dinner. The food was really quite good. We had bowls and rolls and loved it all. The bipimbop was accompanied by some tasty pickled veggies and a bit of kimchi. The ambiance is a little fast food-ish but the place is very clean and comfortable. Since it is fast casual there is not a lot of "service" to write about but the team was friendly and prompt. I have never been to this restaurant because I wouldn't know what to order. I'm a picky eater and visions of seaweed and squid made me apprehensive. It was my friends birthday and this is where she chose to go. She recommended the Stone Bimibop bowl. It was soooooo gooood!! I can't wait to go back!! The dish arrives sizzling with rice on the bottom and veges, sauce and your choice of meat on top. The rice on the bottom gets just a little crispy. I ordered the chicken bibimbap in a stone bowel. So delicious. It had a steamed rice base, red cabbage, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts, chicken, lettuce, hot sauce, and a fried over medium egg on top. I may have missed some stuff because I inhaled it. It was so delicious. This is my first time eating here and I had to google some stuff, but the lady who took my order was very helpful and offered suggestions. The dining area has a very sleek and modern feel. When I sat down I noticed that there was not a lot of cushion in the seat but it was still very comfortable. We sat at a table that was connected to a few other tables, great for a large group or for people who don't mind sitting in a community like setting. It was very clean and beautiful. The food was deliciously on point! Authentic Korean food you can't find anywhere else in our small town. Been waiting many years for Korean food to make it to Chico. It's a small restaurant with a few tables and chairs and the menu isn't big but enough for your to make selections. All good items on the menu though. We visited around 6:30pm, my husband and I and 4 kids, and there was no one dining in the restaurant yet. It's our first time here. Our service was quick and the staffs are friendly and engaged in communication with us. Of course, kids tend to be loud, and the restaurant staff didn't seem to mind when our 2 year old talks at the top of her lungs while we dined. We love sundubu so we got the seafood sundubu, kalbi short ribs, and we tried the stone pot beef bibimbap. All 3 dishes are my favorite and I'm usually a picky food eater but I was surprised at how much I love the stone pot bibimbap. I must eat it again soon! My kids are extremely picky food eaters and they liked the kalbi. We received 2 plates of side dishes as well, which were also delicious. read more

I wrote a review of Oshio under the name Oshio Teriyaki. This is an outstanding gem hidden in a modest looking small restaurant. The chef honors her Korean roots by going the extra mile to cook authentic Korean food, traveling to Sacramento to be sure she is using South Korean products. Her kimchi is unique, recognizable to kimchi fans, but piquant in a unique way. I bought some extra containers of it. My friends and I ordered Pork Gogulgi [which came with excellent sides and rice], Hot Stone Bibimbap with its crispy rice adding a wonderful contrast to the vegetables and fried egg, Japchae, and a very fresh tasting Mango drink. I highly recommend this restaurant. Plenty of street parking, and friendly service. I will eat here every time I am in Chico. read more

I am trying this new place out today . Just got here . The atmosphere is a bit steril and it is a order at the counter place. I prefer table service especially since they ask for a tip. Ok so not many stars yet. I ordered a chicken bowl and some sushi. Let's see what comes out . It's 11:30 and a few people are here. The seating is not the most comfortable but ok. The place looks clean. Ok the food arrived. At least I got a real utensil and plate so a good point. The sesame chicken balls are crunchy and tasty. The wonton is crispy a bit salty but well spiced. The sushi is ok . All in all a good lunch . I will come back read more

Ordered their veggie bibimbap and it was so good. They really put a lot of veggies and it even came with some sides - kimchi, cucumber and radish (I think). I was just visiting the area, but would definitely come back here to try their other food when I have the chance. Clean space with good seating for your larger groups.
