I have been there twice what a great place to eat at I had the Tilapia Fish and chips with a soda.

The best fish and chips I have had anywhere in the country! Fast, friendly service, the restaurant is very clean. They have recently expanded so it's much easier to find a table. Most excellent fried fish!!!! read more

Their clam chowder is heavenly. The only reason I come here and worth it. The staff is usually really friendly and the service is efficient.

We were looking for someplace that was open and had indoor dining (quite a challenge given COVID) and offered fish and chips in the north valley so we checked out Yelp and this place has really great reviews. Always a little leary of being able to get really fresh seafood in the valley, we were pleasantly surprised to find this little restaurant tucked away in a strip mall. The counterservice style ordering created the same feel as you get when you walk up to any California beach fish joint. Making a choice was tough because of all the various options of seafood for the fish and chips and the fact that the choices were just as broad as the choices of seafood for a taco. Loved the food, the choice of music and the 'just hanging out' vibe! read more

I have never been disappointed with the food here. It's my favorite fish place, no question. I started out ordering fish and chips - very yummy, comes with their delicious coleslaw. One day I ordered the fried cod fish taco and OMG I can't seem to order anything else now. It's easily THE BEST fish taco I've ever had. The tortilla is grilled and holds up well. It's stuffed with cod, coleslaw, with a mild spicy sauce and a side of pico de gallo that you must pour into the top of the taco. Excellent! My son loves their clam chowder bread bowl - and I also love the chowder but I get a small cup to go with my taco. They also have really tasty hush puppies. The service is friendly and I can't wait to go back soon. Highly recommended! read more

I wish I could upload the pics I took of the food but I can't for some reason. Anyway, tiny hush puppies, soggy and rubbery cod, total soupy cole slaw, a minuscule amount of dipping sauce. How this place has a 4.5 star average is beyond me. read more

Love Oscar's Pier 83. We live in Scottsdale but regularly drive to Glendale just to experience Oscar's cod and chips, soft shelled crab when in season and their clam chowder. Only criticism (if it can be called that) is that their batter doesn't seem to adhere to their fish. You will take one bite out of the fish only to have the entire piece of fish slide out of the batter! Regardless, we are fans and will keep coming back. Oscar, please comment if you see this. Thanks. read more

I wasn't impressed by eating $$$ fried seafood off of paper plates, although this seems to be common in all the seafood joints. I thought maybe it was just me because others rave about the place but my wife didn't like it either. read more

I ordered a few sourdough bread bowls with clam chowder and a kids meal for pick up last night. I want to share that everyone in my family LOVED their meal! GREAT clam chowder - and my husband is from the East Coast so he has tried many delicious versions. The order taker was pleasant and packed up everything very nicely. Thanks for making dinner stress-free and beyond a treat! Oh, and the chocolate cake was one of the best we've ever had! Nice job! read more

Delicious fish tacos and incredibly good cole slaw. Fries are remarkably tasty, too. Great special on Taco Tuesday. I am tempted to go five stars, but the restaurant lacks ambiance, and I've twice noticed the same employee doing a very lackluster "cleaning" around the beverage island. read more

The fish is really good! The place is fairly new and for some reason came onto Yelp as a steak eatery. One orders from the menu standing up at the register and it's a little pricey for that type of order but the food is good. They also have alcoholic drinks if you want mix up a beef burger and red wine! read more

Wow the jumbo shrimp tacos were delicious!!! I'm from the Pacific Northwest (Seattle) and it's hard to find good seafood in Arizona. I was impressed! I'll be back! read more

Lot more room since the expansion, but the food is still great. My favorite is the Ahi Tuna sandwich as rare as they will serve it.

Great food at reasonable price. Staff is friendly and ready to recommend menu items or their favorite items. Have been there 6 times in the last 2 months, would easy double my visits if I lived closer. Great job Oscar's Pier staff keep up the fantastic job read more

This was a very COVID 19 Friendly place with outdoor seating. The food is very good. Cod is crisp and fresh, and the shrimp was batter perfectly. I and my daughter will be back soon. Maybe Deserts next time. read more

Best Ever fish!!! I love fish and chips my husband love all kinds of fish. I got the catfish and my husband the fish and chips both were hot the breading just perfect not think covering the great taste of the fresh fish! I can't wait to go back and sample the Cajun catfish!!! read more

Went with a couple of friends, fast and friendly service and great food. The ambiance is more of a fast food restaurant. Their tacos (fish/shrimp) were pretty good, but too much cabbage and only flour tortillas (corn tastes better with seafood in my opinion). Their fish and chips are pretty great though. Everything came out hot and fresh. If you're craving deep fried seafood, definitely give this place a try! I'll be coming back. read more

Oscar's Pier 83 is the place to eat when your hungry for a good fish fry. I found the counter, dining and condiment area impeccably clean. The batter on the fish was lite, cod flaky and calamari strips soft and meaty. Add the good music to the atmosphere and the scene is enjoyable. Only thing missing is the dockside smell and fishing boats. read more

Amazing seafood, only complaint would be a little on the steep side in price. But would not change a thing in quality.

I had the cod fish and chips with coleslaw. It was OK. One of the pieces I bit in to squirted hot water on me. My friend had a crab cake which she said was really good. Even early in the evening the inside was packed so we ate on the patio. It was cold without heaters, luckily I had a hoodie in the car I went and grabbed. I would probably go back. read more

Great food and service! Wonderful patio space! Tarter sauce was amazing! Try the all you can eat fish and chips - delicious! Love this place! read more

I wasn't impressed here. This glorified Long John Silvers fell way short of the expectations other Yelpers have set. It's a walk up and order type of place and I guess could be called a fast casual but the fish quality or flavor was nothing spectacular. Temper your expectations and it is a fine place to grab a quick and cheap fish dinner but don't expect fine dining, high quality or flavorful fish! D. read more

Oscar's offers some of the freshest seafood available in the valley. The fish fry is about as good as you'll find here. On a recent visit I ordered an oyster po-boy and was greatly disappointed. I've never seen oysters fried into a log shape. I actually disliked it so much that I didn't eat it. When I mentioned to a staff member that it wasn't good, there was a casual "sorry" comment with no offer to make things right. So, yes for fish, not so much for oysters. read more

Great home made food. Great healthy choices as well. Really like this place. Try their Sunday all you can eat catfish .

Second visit here and again spot on. Its really hard to find haddock in the area and when you do either the batter detracts from the fish or the fish is over cooked. Oscars has it down in both batter is excellent and the fish is cooked to perfection . Thanks Oscars keep up the good work! This review come a Mainer in exile and by gorhey i know good haddock read more

This place is pretty good! My first time coming here and it is not your average restaurant so I was confused by first walking in but Quintin helped me through everything and suggested good choices from the menu, he made me feel welcomed and helped me through it all as it was mine and my family's first time. The food came out in a timely manner and what he suggested us to order was pretty great. He gave excellent service and I was really pleased with the environment and the staff. Thank you Quintin ( hopefully I spelled your name correctly ) for giving my family the best service and experience! He's an amazing human being. read more

Best fish and chips. LOVE the catfish and chips the most. The chipotle ranch sauce is amazing!!!

Love the salads. Wow, the fried shrimp is excellent, lightly breaded and they tasted so fresh. This is a small independently owned neighborhood restaurant serving great food. Oh, try the little bundt cakes, strawberry is my fave! read more

1st time here. Hubby had oyster poor boy and I had fish tacos. Great food. Great place to be good, bad or good-ish. Will be back to try the broiled fish and shrimp baskets read more

Love this place as much as I love fish and chips themselves. Fish and fries and coleslaw is done right down to the wedge of fresh lemon. Casual place with big attitude and always a warm reception from the owners. read more

This place was not what I expected based on the other reviews. The pictures posted were a little misleading. But this turned out to be a locals hidden gem. The patio is dog friendly and that brought my review up to 4 stars for a small place that looks better for take out. I agree with most of the other reviewers the sourdough clam chowder bowl was awesome. the crab Louie salad was great, everything was fresh. There was real crab and a lot of it. Three of us shared and there was some left over. I had the fried assortment, it was very filling and I had a lot of leftovers. All in all I would not search this place out but if you're near it's definitely a place to eat. read more

I have to say I think I just chose poorly. If you eat here do NOT get a shrimp burrito. It is more than half cabbage with a few shrimp and a couple pieces of avocado for $10!! When I complained and asked for something else, the rude little girl behind the counter rolled her eyes at me, pointed to the menu and said it was served as described. She said there was nothing wrong with it and refused to refund or replace my meal. I think the help here could use an education in customer service! The clam chowder was decent, my husband's oyster po boy was good, but the customer service was terrible!! Not a great first experience, not sure we will be back. read more

Everything is great about this place, down to the cashier, who happens to be the owner. It's a very casual, friendly spot. Haddock fish and chips are the best I've had in Arizona. 6 different kinds of fish, along with a great variety of menu items. Can't wait to take the long drive out here soon. read more

This was are first time. The place was clean. The patio is a nice size, just wish it had misters. Very limited in seating on the inside. Service friendly and fast. Shrimp was good. My family had the fish they weren't super impressed. It didn't have any flavor. read more

I went here today. The food was good. I had fish tacos. The service was rude. Edit: I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I did like the tacos. read more

I'm pretty shocked at all the rave reviews. I'll say the food is okay, but I must be missing something because it's far from five stars. The staff is friendly and cleans up tables quickly which is nice because the place is small and indoor seating is very limited. I've eaten here twice now. I think the food is just average. The jumbo shrimp are medium in size and the cod is average in flavor. I enjoyed the fish taco (picture) more than the fish n chips. Both the chicken tenders and grilled cheese (picture) from the kids menu were bad news. My daughter is not picky and would barely eat either one. I don't blame her. I don't think we'll be back. This might be a good place for a hangover, but there's better seafood with less grease and bigger portions elsewhere. read more

Born and raised in New England and this is definitely the best fish and chips in the valley. Crispy but not greasy. Good chips. A proper selection of condiments and while not really New England the hush puppies are a must. Plus if you are feeling fancy they have catfish, Mahi Mahi even Salmon or Halibut. Have not had the chowder or broiled fish yet but definitely going to try them soon read more

Nice little yummy & reasonably priced seafood joint. Try the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl- you won't be disappointed!!!

Most friendly staff, decent food, clean environment & bloody cheap. Must try the endless catfish fries & coleslaw on Sundays.
