My buddy and I went here for dinner after a long drive. We were not in the mood to wait and we were very hungry. This scratched both of those itches. They have all of the standards for a Chinese American Buffet along with the Hibachi and some limited sushi options. When we found the hair in our food she accused us of planting the hair in our food despite the exact hair that was on our food was one of the hairs on her head. Went to Osaka with friends. We enjoyed the food and the friendly efficient service. The food was much better than other places we have been. They even have a hibachi grill which was wonderful, I got to pick out my favorites to grill. I chose shrimp, bay scallops and lots of vegetables with rice. If I could put zero star I would. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The customer service at Osaka Sushi Buffet in Myrtle Beach was absolutely awful. From the moment we sat down, the server seemed disinterested and rude. In the middle of our meal, she dropped the check on our table without a word, we were still eating. Not only that, but she started hovering over us and rushing us to pay, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. When we decided not to leave a tip due to the poor service, she literally stood over our shoulders watching and made a scene and forced us to tip. It was extremely uncalled for and unprofessional of her. I also asked for a spoon, and instead of just getting one, she snapped at me and told me to get it myself in the rudest tone imaginable. Nothing about the service here made us feel welcome. Honestly, it ruined the whole meal. Save your money and your patience; go anywhere else. Waste of 20 dollars. read more

The food was fresh, and the buffet was well stocked, but the overall quality is average at best. I do like their breadth of selection and the array of desserts. We've been going to Osaka for a few years and during that time, prices have gone up significantly. The server was a bit rude, as well. When she brought the bill, I told her to keep the change which amounted to a tip of $2.82. I could not make out what she said, but she was clearly unhappy with the amount of the tip. I'm normally a generous tipper, but not at buffets. We were visiting the Beach and no longer live there but I doubt we will be returning. read more

Monitor for unauthorized credit card charges: Food was good, relatively inexpensive for all you can eat buffet, wide selection, lots of seafood ... BUT ... I added a 15% tip after declining the standard tap this button options for 18% and up, paid by a credit card I rarely use, and discovered over $100 in unauthorized Shein overseas website charges posted the next day. I had not used the card anywhere else in the 3 weeks prior to the unauthorized charges. I made two unsuccessful attempts to reach the manager by phone, and after a month have not received responses to either my submission on their "Ask us a question" page on their website or my hardcopy letter. I went through the inconvenience of disputing the charges with my credit card company who canceled the card number and several weeks later sent a new one. Despite the suspicious timing, I cannot be certain one of their staff was involved, but I am certain that they have made no effort to respond to my inquiries. read more

This is a nice buffet with a great variety of food. Not only do they have a lot of Chinese food, but other types such as fried chicken, sausage, and pizza. As stated they have sushi, but they also have a small hibachi station. They have a good variety of desserts and fruit as well. Overall the food was good. There is a sign up for a pound of snow crab legs for 19.99 that I wish I had seen before going to Joe's Crab and paying $55 for what ended up being a pound. Disappointed. This is a typical Chinese Style Buffet with a sushi and Mongolian stir-fry bar. The restaurant could use a good cleaning and remodeling.
