We visited Flaming Fin tonight, 6/18/26, for our second time, and once again had a fantastic experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were all absolutely excellent. Falicya and her boyfriend, Ridge, were amazing. They were both incredibly friendly, enjoyed talking with us, and made us feel very welcome. We never had to wait for a drink, and they were both very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. They are definitely keepers, and we will absolutely be back and will ask to sit in their section again. read more

I really like their chinese food, but the service is not that good... maybe best to take out. There is basically one waitress who is always there, and she seems lifeless. No personality. I love their Chinese food but not the fried rice - do not get the fried rice here. The Kung Pao chicken is very good, and the chow fun is good too. Shrimp dumplings are great and they have a nice menu. They have a nice sushi bar but I only get Chinese food here. I definitely recommend the Fin. read more

Attention to detail and quality ingredients are number one here. I've never had a bad meal and I go often and I'm very picky. Raymond, the Health sushi chef from China, is a real pro. It's all good, but my favorites are the lo mein. There's something to be said for the owner coming by your table to check on your satisfaction every time you're there. read more

Popped in on a Saturday evening and seated immediately - good size restaurant with plenty of seating and also a very decent looking bar. We chose a booth this time, but we'll definitely be back for the bar experience. They bill themselves as Japanese, but like most Asian restaurants in this area it really is more of an Asian fusion than distinctly Japanese. This worked perfectly for us - I was able to get some hibachi rice and sushi, and my husband loved his General Tso's chicken. Ambience was pleasant, friendly hostess and servers and not too loud, but lively enough to keep you engaged. Food was pretty good and they were kind enough to make my special request sushi roll (tuna, avocado, cream cheese and cucumber - let's just call this the Inkster roll) which honestly should just be on every menu but it isn't. I will honestly go back just for their willingness to customize. The food was great - it came out quickly, nice portion size and excellent flavor. Sushi 4/5: I feel like the tuna could've been a little fresher, but still pretty good Lettuce wrap 4.5/5: very flavorful, but the lettuce was a little stiff and weirdly cut so it was hard to hold together General Tso's chicken 4/5: my husband raved about it (but he'll eat anything) but I thought the chicken was battered too thickly, and the flavor was just OK Fire pan rice: I think this is the name of it. It's the fried rice with beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was very good. The only thing missing was hibachi vegetables, which were surprisingly not on the menu at all. Overall, I would definitely go again to try some other menu items - they did a pretty good job of executing each dish that we ordered. read more

This has become one of our "go to's" in the area. The food is very good, we have our favorites, but have never had anything disappointing. We usually sit at the bar, which makes our experience even better with the best bartenders, Ridge and Felicia. They are attentive, make great drinks and also make helpful food suggestions if you're a bit undecided. A great choice for Asian cuisine. read more

I came with my two young daughters for dinner. We were seated immediately upon arrival. They have been about a little longer than a week. Ambience is nice and casual. Service was really good. All the servers were helping each other out which helped with the flow of things. They gave us some edamame on the house which was nice. I ordered the incredible roll, the girls ordered lo mein (they weren't very fond of it), CA roll and sweet and sour chicken. They really enjoyed their meal. Really good new local choice in Carolina Forest (Publix strip) with big menu with a lot of options, fair prices, great Happy Hour (though I just missed it). Had Edamame and a sushi roll, they were very good. Some craft beers on draft and interesting-sounding cocktails. Foods good. Service is terrible. Call and place a to go order and they tell you 20 min... call and Uber and bring money for a bar tab. This is my fourth time coming and I've had to wait in the restaurant for an additional 35-40 min each time.. pretty poor if you ask me. Staff looks lost and confused. It's one thing if they laid out the wait but to say 20 min and it takes 40 minutes longer on average is just crappy business. Fourth strike I'm out. read more

My husband and I ate dinner at this restaurant, and it was AMAZING! We ordered five different sushi rolls and loved them them all. The staff was very friendly, and it seemed that every server stepped in whenever needed to clear your table, bring you more water, etc. The restaurant itself looked authentic, and you definitely got an Asaian feel as you were there. This is a review for anyone who is gluten free or gluten sensitive. I asked the server if they had tamari or "gluten free soy sauce" and she was quite confused by this question and ultimately the answer was no. Okay, that's fine. I reviewed the menu and avoided anything that included tempura. What they did not say in the menu is that anything with spicy tuna is actually mixed with tempura flake. I have never seen this from any sushi place ever and I suspect it's a cheap way for them to stretch the tuna. Anyway, it was not mentioned on the menu so I had food I could not eat. I mentioned this to the person I believed was the manager (not trying to be a Karen here, but in this day and age, you have to have a basic level of care about people's food allergies). read more

Disappointing! Went here a month ago and everything was great! Went again a couple weeks ago and very disappointed! Ordered Pad Thai which was incredibly dry with little sauce- no flavor and quite bland! Requested more sauce and they acted like I insulted them- in fact, the Manager (I presume!?!) stood by the kitchen entrance and gave me a gnarly stare until we left! Incredible place - it's easily my families favorite place. I think we go once a week now, and my parents go even more. Staff is awesome, very friendly people and very attentive even when busy. I was a sushi chef for 10 years, Thai and Chinese wok cook for 7, and worked in Asian cuisine restaurants since I can remember. The food here is absolutely on point in every standard. Pricing is great, the atmosphere is very fun and family friendly. My kids love coming here, my youngest loves their Pad Thai. I could easily eat the sushi here at least once a week. Not to mention the menu is very fun and up to date with trends serving creative dishes like sushi pizza - which I personally have fallen in love with. They even have Unagi-don which is just as comfort food feeling as it can get. Mother loves their poke-bowl and I have to agree. Last time we went with my entire family me and my sister split a sushi platter of nigiri and a few rolls and it's hard to find nigiri so well done honestly. Perfect scoring on the fish, perfect amount of rice to fish ratio, and was even impressed with their tamago. We left stuffed and satisfied as always. Will more than likely be back next week again. Horrible service they say two parties before us and all because the hostess knew another large party she went and sat them down they had us waiting forever! Such a disrespect I don't recommend anyone come here u less you want second class crappy service and people who will sit anyone they know just to skip the line of customers who have been patiently waiting. This was a second visit. I was very disappointed. It became obvious to me that the meals we ordered were frozen meals that were microwaved. Both of our meals were barely warm. My husband's plate had 'wax paper' beneath the food. The server tried to explain it was to "catch the grease". Yeah, right. Absolutely delicious! My husband had the house special soup and then we each had the pan fried pork Gyoza. Delicately thin wrapper, crisp from pan fried and the filling was delicious! My husband had the Thai curry. and I had the Pink something roll (forget the exact word).
