All six of my grandchildren have been seen by Dr Little and Dr. Banks. Both doctors were kind, patient and understanding of the fears the children had and spent time building their trust. Recently moved to Frederick and we needed a dentist for all 3 kids. We met with Dr. Banks and he was such a nice and caring person. My 2 year old was scared but him and his nurse got her to calm down easily! My main concern was they would rush to get us out with the whole CoVid thing going on but they actually took their time and made sure nothing was missed. Dr. Sivakumar and his staff have been purely amazing all seven years we have gone! He takes the time to know his patients and always makes the kids feel comfortable for any procedure with a thorough explanation; this has always put myself as a parent at ease. My kids are comfortable with him so much in fact, even after we moved to PA, we would still take a six hour round-trip drive to see him. He always makes time if there's an additional procedure that needs to be done-which both kids have needed. We attempted to find a dentist when we moved to Florida and my daughter had a panic attack and was in tears with the dentist here. She did not feel safe! I called and right away Dr. Sivakumar fit us into his schedule and we flew to Maryland - YES he is that good and worth every penny for the trip! EVERYONE in this office is amazing. You can tell they love their job. My son is always excited to go to his appointments. Dr. Banks and Dr. Lloyd are our 2 favorites, mind you they are the only 2 doctors we have been seen by, but we always make sure to request them. Dr. Banks conducted my sons surgery and kindly called later that day to check up on him. Both doctors incredibly sweet and extremely knowledgeable. Their lobby is VERY kid friendly. THEY HAVE AN XBOX! At the end of each visit they are given a token to pick out a prize from one of the "gumball" machines. Continuously recommend this practice to all of my friends. My kids have been seen this office for more than two years, but recently we had to go through our worst experience ever, and as a result I won't go this office ever again! ' During my daughter last checkup they told me she had a cavity and she needed to be taken care as well as two tooth extractions. They gave me an "estimate" and I was supposed to pay only 77.60. Knowing that it was better to take care as soon as possible I accepted their estimate and scheduled the appointment for the following week. Once they were performing the "cavity" they found she had two cavities and they took care without asking. After the procedure was done the doctor explained to me that she took care of the other cavity without asking me because she knows it would've been better to do both cavities. Well, I didn't say anything since she is the dentist and she knows better, so the next appointment was for the two extractions since they couldn't do extractions and cavities at the same time. The extractions took place three days after that appointment. They gave her NITROUS , same as they gave her during the cavities procedure, but this time the doctor that was performing the procedure didn't care so much about the kid, he was talking all long with his nurse helper about a ladder that she needed and he was going to give it to her, and they talked about it during more than 30 minutes that the procedure took! I have a lot of respect for the woman doctor that did the cavities procedure; she is like an angel, but the doctor? He doesn't care. Well, my daughter was crying all the time and she is brave, so I am no sure that their NITRUOS gas work at all, and I have the pictures that shows she was crying all the time, but well, then the last straw was that when I got their bill there were charging me $88 for each time they used their NITROUS. What? I had already paid the "estimate "they gave me that is why I agreed to do the procedure. So I called my insurance because I also notice they were charging my insurance for a service they didn't provide to any of my kids. They charged my insurance for a service I wasn't provided but it was listed in my bill. The insurance didn't pay for service , so I proceed to call the dentist's bill department and I asked them why they were submitting a charge to my insurance for a " service" that I wasn't provided and they lady on the phone told me :"Don't worry, we are not charging you for that service, if the insurance didn't pay then we won't charge you,", and she added : "The people here in the office already know that if the insurance doesn't pay then it shouldn't show that charge in your bill. What? Well, it sounds to me that they are doing something they shouldn't, but I have the copies of my insurance and the bill statement from the dentist. I have to say that my insurance, until this day, still waiting for a form that should be submitted to them saying the dentist office made a mistake and they shouldn't be submitting a correction of the charge but they haven't done it. Well, after telling the billing lady that they had provided me with an estimate of $77.60 and I had agree to do my daughter procedure because the estimate seems ok to me I wouldn't have to be charge for something else. They told me they had checked with the insurance and they were supposed to cover it. I contacted again my insurance and they re-affirm they didn't have in their records any phone call from that office, so my insurance call the dentist office and ask them about their "supposedly phone call to the insurance in order to provide the client an estimate ". As a result of that phone call my insurance company told me that dentist office answer was: "well, we didn't call, but we assume that Cigna will pay", but well, since CIGNA didn't pay so now the client has to pay, they don't have other choice. Guess what, I will pay because I am a responsible person, unlike you I don't like to take somebody else's money, I am AN HONEST PERSON, and that is something you ARE NOT. read more
