I bought tires for my previous car here a few years ago, and so when I discovered a slow leak on my current jalopy, I called these guys for a quick diagnosis/fix instead of trying to get into Costco -- which might have done a smaller fix under warranty but would have involved waiting around for hours just to be looked at. Orozco was very busy (I think they handled three arrivals and two pickups just in the 15 minutes on my arrival) but they saw me pretty much immediately. I had a damaged rim, and they said they could try to "weld" it to fix the leak. I don't really get how these newfangled tires work. The fix would take a few hours (like I said, they were busy), so they put the spare tire on my car and I went about my day. Picked up at the end of the day and they were ready. So now the tire doesn't leak any more, and it cost me $140. Not the $25 patch job that other reviewers have gotten! So I have no idea whether I paid a lot or a little, but everything seems good now I'm terms of the result. For me, it was worth it to get this done immediately and conveniently, thus the five stars. read more

I don't know why they deserve such a high rating!!! I came to to repair one of my tires, they said I need to change all 4 tires. After the work done, they lost one of my hubcaps, I called them and drove back to their shop but they didn't admit it. I insisted that I had 4 hubcaps, they finally agreed to give my hubcap back. After 5 days (They said they would call back, but they NEVER did). I called them, they asked me to drive to their shop, but the hubcap they gave back to me was not the same one!!! I strongly disappointed and not recommend this auto shop to anyone!!! read more

Had quite the day. Got a flat in downtown Oakland, where all the construction has restricted and limited parking. Found a spot to wait for my tow truck, which I had let my AAA membership lapse. $$$ out of pocket now. My little fiat doesn't have a spare. Husband told me to tow it Orozco's, it's good shop family owned shop. Called to give them a heads up about my car getting towed. Which BTW, due to covid you can't ride in the tow truck. You're left to figure out your own ride, husband to the rescue. The tow got there before I did, and my car was already being worked on. What?!? Since they had to order my special little tire, he put a temporary spare so that I could go about my day. I thought he said it'll be 2days, but he said 2hrs. And it was exactly that. He showed me the culprit of my flat tire, damm shard piece of metal(kitchen knife). These guys know what they're doing. They basically repaired my morning, and made it all the better. read more

My friend has been a loyal customer of Orosco for years however my experience differed. I was quoted $90 to replace a side mirror then was charged $140. The part was ordered and the wrong part arrived three times. When the correct part arrived, they attached the mirror, in the process taking apart the door. They would not accept a debit card and sent me to the B of A around the corner to get cash. It was such an ordeal to finally get that fixed, or so I thought, that I did not ask for a receipt, which of course they did not produce. Next time I used my vehicle I discovered the door did not lock. Orasco failed to put the door back in working order, or broke the mechanism in the door. I returned to Orasco for the sixth time and explained the problem. Orosco then had a 20 minute long conversation in Spanish with his workers, complete with sniggering and lewd hand gestures. As Orasco went on and on and on, one of his men looked down, embarrassed, blushing. Finally Orosco said to me, Not today. Come back in the morning. I said that I had to work in the morning, and asked to come back on the weekend, a time which he had previously said, I could not. He then said, yeah maybe come back on the weekend. But I might not be alive by then. I could be dead. All in all I made 8 trips to that place and they still did not fix the problem. I was polite, they were rude, lewd and unprofessional. I've been going to these guys for years and I couldn't be happier. They are the same price as the chains and they remember you and give you great fast service every time. They do rotations while you wait (including balancing) and it takes minutes. I discovered them about fifteen years ago when I had a flat and while every other place wanted $20+ to patch a tire, they charged only ten, a much more reasonable price for a quick and simple fix. I went to this tire place on an emergency to patch a hole on my tire. Victor informed me that a stud had to be replaced in order to put my tires back. Of course i agreed because he's supposed to be the expert. Attached are pictures of receipt how much i was charged in cash because he didn't want to accept a charge card. I am posting this review because i almost got into an accident. While driving, my wheels locked and the car stopped in the middle of the street and didn't understand why the car would not move at all. So i had to call a tow truck. Orozcos came highly recommended for being affordable. I had my tires changed and 2 struts. I spoke with one brother at first and then the other the next day. Was quoted a much lower price than I was charged! Like $200+. The options(5 tires I researched and choose) I wanted weren't available, so I got "up-sale'd" the more expensive set without them asking or letting me know?! I was told they would call me.... Not sure if its because I'm a woman and new to owning a car, but I felt like they got over on me!? Prices were cheap comparatively to other shops, but they were not up front with me, so I felt cheated. I didn't budget for the extra cost. Not to mention that they didn't replace the TPMS sensors that I mentioned? I was able to borrow a loaner car to get to work-maybe that's why I paid $200 extra?! Not cool read more

My low tire pressure light came on and a friend had a pressure pump to help check the air in each tire and fill them up a bit. He noticed a noticeable bulge in one of the tires and told me to get it fixed asap as it could blow out. I was pretty bummed since the dealership had replaced the tire about 8 months ago and I'm in school full time and pretty broke and was having trouble finding a tire shop open on a Sunday. Thank goodness for Orozcos! Not only were they open, but no appointment needed and I was in and out within 25 minutes. Everyone was super friendly, helpful and professional. They tried finding a used one to replace it with, but no luck. I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was - especially compared to the dealership - it was a fraction of the price. And the pen they gave me writes really nicely (I like nice pens). This is the only place I'll ever go for my tire needs from now on. read more

I wrote a very nice review then it accidentally got deleted . These guys are the best. I recommend them to All my friends. I don't hesitate to drive across the bay to them. Always half what the big box guys charge and work done lightning fast (often in minutes) while you wait. None of that "you have to leave the car all day/overnight" BS. No upcharges. Cash only for best price. Great used tires as well as new. They typically offer an economy, mid and performance tire option. They honor tire warranties. I usually call ahead to ensure they have the tire I need/ want on hand. If they don't they can always grab it from their nearby warehouse within the hour. They also do a great fairly priced brake job. Just bring your own pads or shoes. I always zip just down the street to One Stop Auto Parts just down San Pablo after Alcatraz. Those guys are great too. I do that immediately after they change my tire/s and upon inspecting my brakes tell me that I'm due for pads or rotors. Pro tip: NEVER IGNORE A BRAKE ISSUE. As soon as you hear a sound, feel something, notice a change in pedal feel - get it checked out IMMEDIATELY to avoid quickly escalating repair costs. Instead of a quick pad change for under $100 after a few days or a couple weeks you'll need a rotor turning, then another couple weeks and you've worn out your calipers, a few more weeks and you'll need new rotors or drums. Now your sub $100 brake job is over $1000. Anyway, goto Orozcos! read more
