Such a great tire shop! Everyone here is always super nice, helpful, and efficient. I've come in multiple times when my tire pressure was low and they always help me out. I came in again today with a flat tire and they did a great job. They're super reliable! Definitely recommend coming here! read more

This was the second time bringing my suv to Tire Choice. First it was for 2 new tires and this time an oil change and tire rotation. Each time Greg kept me informed with honest assessments. I ended up buying 2 tires again. I expected this. After I picked up my suv, I heard a strange noise, so I brought it right back. It was late in the day so understandably I had to wait until the next day to have it assessed. Again, Greg kept me informed with honest assessment. I unexpectedly needed a repair unrelated to the tires and oil. Greg understood I would be shocked at the cost and kindly gave a discount. I got my suv back the same day! Thank you!! I plan to bring my suv back for future oil changes and tire service. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Tire Choice. First, the appointment system feels misleading. I scheduled a time in advance and showed up as expected, but was still left waiting while walk-in customers who arrived before me were taken ahead of me. It really makes you question the point of setting an appointment if it doesn't actually secure your place in line. What made the experience worse was how I was treated after ordering my tires through Amazon. It felt very clear that customers paying the higher in-store installation price were given priority, while those of us who booked through Amazon were treated like we mattered less. That kind of treatment is frustrating and unprofessional. On top of that, the manager's behavior came across as disrespectful and discriminatory, which made the entire experience even more uncomfortable. No customer should feel that way when they're simply trying to get a service they scheduled in advance. Overall, between the lack of clarity around appointments, the apparent prioritization of certain customers, and the way I was treated, I would not recommend this location. read more

Greg Allen, mgr at Tire Choice in Albany is a lifesaver! On my way to a rehearsal dinner today and found a giant nail in my tire. I let him know I'm on my way out of town and could it be fixed in an hour or so? He did better! Patched my tire in 30 minutes and I got to my destination on time. Thank you Tire Choice! Quick, friendly, expert service. 10 star service! read more

Literally just left Tire Choice Auto Services feeling safer and a big smile on my face. Had to head to Albany and my tire pressure light came on while I was exiting the freeway. My Honda always makes me a little uneasy when the light comes on because some times there's a nail but some times it's just adjusting. Did a quick search in Yelp and my lovely Yelpers seemed to direct me to Tire Choice. Called ahead and talked to Greg who told me to come on by and they'd add air and check it out. Went in and met Greg who instructed Victor to fill my tires with air. He checked the tires and said everything was good. Didn't charge me anything for it. These are some honest, good people here. I'm sure others would've charged for the inspection. Thank you so much Greg and Victor! I was in an out in under 10 minutes! read more

5 stars all the way! Huge shoutout to Stephanie SP and the crew at Tire Choice in Albany. My headlight went out and I needed help fast. Even though tires are in the name, they've always been incredibly helpful beyond that. From Greg (the owner) to Will, who replaced my light and aired up my tires 30 minutes before closing, the service was warm, hospitable, and genuinely kind. It honestly felt like family. Oil change already booked...I'll definitely be back! read more

I always seem to get my flat tires around four 5 o'clock in the evening. Each time that I've gone to Tire Choice, Greg, found a way to get me back on the road. He's a pleasure to work with and the technicians in the tire bay have gone the extra yard to get me on the road as soon as possible. I know the Tire business isn't an easy one and I have no complaints against the other dealers have gone to, but Tire Choice will always be my first choice. read more

The best mechanics. Greatly appreciate the fair prices and communication. Shoutout to Greg!!

I'm writing this during the heavy rainstorms we've been having in the Bay. I just got off an 8hr shift at work that requires me to be outside, walked out to my little Volkswagen Beetle, and found my rear left tire flat due to a wall bolt. I was already a bit tired and nervous driving in this car during the heavy rain. I drove slowly and carefully as to not mess up my rim too bad and went here to Tire Choice. Mr. Greg Allen and his mechanic (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name!) helped me immediately even though it's Sunday and an hour before close. They were both incredibly nice and we laughed a bit - great, comfortable service. They told me not to worry about any charges, and I was out of there in 20min. Thank y'all so much for your help! I'm grateful for such kind folks like them taking care of us and our vehicles in this neighborhood. Definitely recommend. read more

They installed tires that I purchased through Tires Easy. It was fairly seamless, but the Tire Choice center left both passenger and driver seats dirty. I don't know if this is grease and if it can even be cleaned off my seats. I'm disappointed about the time it will take to try and clean them and potential permanent damage to my seats. I let them know in person, and an apology was offered but no remedy was suggested. I would not use them again. read more

Very strange I made an appointment. I came down on my lunch break. The guy sitting behind the counter said I wasn't in the system. Then he said I don't know who you talk to. That was the call center, even though I called the number on this Google ad. So if you call this number, you're going to basically get routed to somebody who they don't even care about good luck. read more

Dropped off my Honda Civic yesterday for an oil change, tire rotation and wheel balancing. They said it would be ready by 11 AM the next day. I got a call the next day before noon to let me know that my car is ready for pick up. Price was as quoted. (Remember to get the oil change coupon from their web site.) No attempt to upsell. Ask for Victor L. He's great. read more

I have used this business for a long time for A/C repair, tire chamber and caster aligned, new tires purchases and most recently repairing a flat tire. I called them and thought I was getting an appt. for 5:30 PM last Friday night. When I arrived they could not accommodate me (they close at 6:00 PM). Due to confusion starting with their scheduling group I was disappointed but they let me leave my car overnight in their shop. I got a call at 9:00 am on Saturday that my car tire was repaired and the car was ready for pickup. When I came to pick up my car, Victor, the service attendant, said no charge! Wow, random acts of kindness like this doesn't happen that often but when they do I am happy to give a shout out of praise for excellent service. Thank you, Victor. read more

Woke up sunday morning to find a screw in my tire. No tire repair places were open. I found out that Tire Choice was one of the only places open. Amazing service and on a Sunday no less! read more

. I would like to give a zero star! Never ever come to this place for oil change! They treat customers like shit. I was there last time with my appointment and they told me I don't have an appointment, which I already confirmed with their employee. I have a surgery scheduled for that day and I was so upset, the manager gives me the service for free but I almost missed my surgery appointment. From last time I learned that lesson and confirmed like three time with the employee on my phone, and when I arrived there, the manager told me that their computer shut down and he can't process my appointment. How ridiculous! He was definitely lying, every time they just find different excuses, if you are not willing to take third-party customers, remove yourself from the platform then. Can't imagine how a human being can be so rude and so blood-cold! Never never com read more

I was referred here by my tire warranty after I blew a tire hitting a pothole. It was a horrific experience. I arrive to no one at the counter. After about 10 minutes I knocked on the service bay door to get some help. Downhill from there. The guy at the desk told me I would have to replace all tires. Not unexpected, and I had already cleared with the warranty that they would cover one of the tires. They just asked that the service center call them. Well, after the kid at the desk told me, without much comprehension, that the warranty didn't apply, despite my clearing that with them first, I asked for the manager. I waited and waited. When he finally arrived he was gruff, dismissive, and belligerent. He treated me like I was an idiot, angrily telling me that I needed to replace all 4 tires (which I knew already) and insisting that the warranty was for a single tire, not all four. When I tried explaining that it would cover the impacted tire and I paid the rest, he didn't even let me finish. What's more, when I said he should call the warranty provider as they requested, he cut me off, saying, "I'm not calling anyone!" I told him I would take my business elsewhere and he told me to get lost and get out. It was a terrible experience that I hope never to repeat. read more

These guys saved me. After I hit a pothole and popped my front tire on New Year's Eve, Greg the manager and Will the service technician squeezed me in without an appointment on New Year's Day and put a new tire on in plenty of time for me to go on a road trip I had already planned. read more

Had to drop in because I picked up a nail in my tire and honestly thought it was going to be a whole stressful ordeal. Greg Allen, the store manager, was awesome from the moment I walked in. Super friendly, straight to the point, and just easy to deal with. They got me taken care of way faster than I expected. No runaround just honest service and good people. Greg made sure everything was done right and that I was back on the road safe. It's rare these days to find a shop that treats you like a person instead of just another ticket, but this place does. Big thanks to Greg and the crew, service was top notch. read more

Great staff and great service. My tire light came on and this place is super close so even though I was low on time I pulled in. They helped me out immediately. Checked out the air pressure all around. Located the nail in the tire and filled it up. I came in on a Saturday for my appointment and they helped me immediately and got me on my way quickly. Smiles all around! read more

The other day I found a nail in my car's tire. My husband recommended that I go to Tire Choice in Albany. He said he had a great experience with them so I drove straight there. I spoke with the assistant manager, Kevin Benavides, who said he would take care of it. I asked him how much would the repair be and he said that it wouldn't take long and there is no charge. Where can you go these days when someone tells you that there is no charge for their service? He was such a nice guy. He said that he would call me when my tire was ready which he did. He greeted me and said everything was good. I have no hesitation whatsoever recommending this great company. Do yourself a favor if you are in need of tires or repairs, this is the company to work with. read more

I won't go into details but the atmosphere (fox news blaring) and customer service was awful, not to mention I got another flat moments after a full tire inspection and buying a new tire and getting it put on. (maybe a coincidence, but maybe not). The first time, they left the tire valve cap loose on the brand new replacement tire, and the second time, my tire was missing the cap completely (although had one on before). Hmm. If you're not of a *certain demographic*, seems like you might be in trouble here, if you know what I mean. Go somewhere else more trusted. read more

Mr Greg and the team are great! I've been taking my cars here for several years and especially with teenage drivers I feel safe having them behind the wheel. Greg was absolutely amazing! No one wants to get into their car on a Sunday afternoon; while running errands, and see "low tire pressure" light come on. I have a whole week of errands, school and afterschool activities drop off and I did not want to start my week with a flat tire. Lucky me, while searching on both Google and Yelp, I came across Greg's shop and called to see if I could swing by. Not only was I able to swing by and have it checked out, Greg and his team was able to patch the tire up in such an amazing timeframe that I was still able to go home and hang out with my family. Such a sweet fellow and an amazing shop. I feel extremely lucky and also reassuring to know there's a shop in the El Cerrito/Albany area where they have exceptional customer service and community connection. read more

One of my tires was flat, so I went to a nearby shop to have it patched. Unfortunately, the work was done poorly, and the next day I noticed the tire wasn't holding air. I want to say a big thank you to Greg for helping me with my tire situation today! It was quick, easy and the customer service was great. I was disappointed because I had a great experience with them once before. This time, I made an appointment at noon for 5pm service the same day. Got text and email confirmation and a text reminder.
