Tires Direct matched the Costco price within a few dollars, gave me a discount for cash and ordered the tires. Exactly as promised they called today to confirm they received the tires and they could install at 1 pm. The install and alignment took about two hours (as opposed to all day at Costco). They offer free repair of road damage in the tread and free rotation. I feel very lucky to have them nearby and I will likely use them for other work on my car. They are such nice guys too.

However, they didn't do the job correctly and wouldn't take responsibility for it. I know they didn't do it correctly because when Tires Direct balanced the tires it did not resolve the mild steering wheel vibration I was experiencing at speeds over 60 mph. When I took it to another shop (after Tires Direct supposedly balanced the tires), they reported that the RF wheel had an irregular weight pattern and was .75 oz out of balance and the LF wheel had no weights at all and was 2.75 oz out of balance (which is significant). The other shop balanced them with road force balancing and that solved the vibration issue. When I called Tires Direct to let them know about my experience, they became defensive and told me that the balancing numbers at every shop will be different and they did nothing wrong. Perhaps the numbers can vary, but the point was that whatever balancing they did, didn't actually fix the issue - so I wasted my money by going to them.

Two staff members helped us on the spot and repaired our tire, even though it required dismounting it and submersing it in water to find the leak. This morning we had a nail puncture in a different tire. I drove over and was there right as they opened and again they fixed it on the spot, this time in under five minutes Either time they could've told me I needed a reservation or charged me significantly more, but they are just good honest mechanics. It felt very clear that customers paying the higher in-store installation price were given priority, while those of us who booked through Amazon were treated like we mattered less. That kind of treatment is frustrating and unprofessional. On top of that, the manager's behavior came across as disrespectful and discriminatory, which made the entire experience even more uncomfortable. No customer should feel that way when they're simply trying to get a service they scheduled in advance. I'm pretty confident I've paid an arm and a leg for having my flat tire fixed before, so I was really really happy at how quick and effortless it was. I didn't see any cars before me, so maybe that contributed to the speed, but it was genuinely less than ten minutes. You can't ask for more than that in my opinion, this will be my go-to recommendation for flat tires.

A few months later I tried to check the tire pressure and found plastic stems in the rear wheels. Moreover, two of them had stripped threads and could not be used to adjust the pressure. Also, they were unable to perform the alignment on my vehicle so I had to take it to the dealership. I wish I'd just taken it to the dealership in the first place. When I called to ask why the plastic stems had been used, they checked their records and said in fact they *had* re-used the metal stems I provided.
