Excellent service! I highly recommend Dave's for all your Honda and Acura car care need.

I have a 66 Chevelle with a 2012 Ctsv motor and I called for a simple recharge of my ac. I broke a hard line and replaced it and just need my ac to be recharged and the lady said are you sure that's what wrong, then says they just don't work on anything that old. Weird cause I'm calling for a simple recharge of r134a. For a 2012 motor. Aight bye! read more

nice, responsive, mostly competent about cars and repairs, but recommends multi-thousand dollar excessive repairs to repair what cost only hundreds of dollars of actually needed repair to fix issue, and 'also' repairs of other parts of car that are also not necessary. With so much competition in this bad economy and expensive area, I guess they need the money to stay afloat. (But I cannot afford to support that!) Yes, my car fixed elsewheres for the hundreds, and working fine, with the expensive added fixes deemed highly unlikely to be necessary. That mechanic heard story, and supposed Dave's was fishing for business. read more

I brought my 2019 Honda Accord to Dave's Auto Repair because of engine power loss and misfiring. The first visit, they told me the issue was spark plugs and a coil. They also replaced the engine air filter and cabin filter without my approval, claiming there was mold, even though I specifically asked them not to change anything unnecessary. I was charged about $700. The problem was not fixed. When I returned, instead of standing behind their previous diagnosis, they charged me again, this time about $900 to add head gasket sealant and additional labor. They charged $350 in labor just to pour sealant into the radiator, which is excessive. After spending a total of about $1,600, the original problem is still unresolved. I had already explained the full history of the vehicle and previous diagnostic inaccuracies, but this was ignored. They relied entirely on the scan tool instead of listening to the customer or properly investigating the root cause. To make matters worse, when I returned to discuss the unresolved issue, I was treated unprofessionally and was told they would not work on my car anymore. Instead of taking responsibility for incorrect diagnoses, they continued charging for trial-and-error repairs without results. I understand troubleshooting is a process, but charging large amounts for incorrect fixes without resolving the problem or offering accountability is unacceptable. I would not recommend this shop. read more

Just the most friendly, helpful staff at this place. Can't wait to have a reason to bring my car in.

We began taking our two Hondas to Dave's Auto Repair several years ago, but we haven't needed anything serious for awhile. But in the recent heat wave, we discovered that the CR-V's air conditioning wasn't working, and made an appointment. Bottom line, they found an unusual wire break, and also found several other problems (rear brakes, yikes!). Resulting service was great, as we expected. We so appreciate Lisa (owner) and her deep knowledge and trouble-shooting skills. read more

I came to Dave's Auto Repair for a second opinion after another shop tried to charge me over $1,000 for brake work and a leak diagnosis. Lisa at Dave's quickly let me know my brakes were actually fine, and found a completely different issue the other place missed. Super honest and no pressure. This is my new go-to shop! read more

Lisa and her crew at Dave's are honest, reliable, great communicators, and always do a great job! Highly recommend.

Honest shop and got the job done in a timely manner! Some places in the area will not tell you the best advice for your vehicle but Dave's Auto Repair will! I recently went to a shop that told me my brakes needed replacement and my gasket valve was leaking and was going to charge me around a thousand to replace the brakes and just diagnose the leak! I decided to go to Dave's, and Lisa was amazing and honest letting me know that my brakes never needed replacement! But was honest that I had significant leak elsewhere and the last shop never told me about it! I highly recommend going to Dave's Auto Repair because they definitely has become my go to shop in the area! read more

Very thorough, gave accurate and reasonable estimate, did a great job installing new lights and identified another issue (that another mechanic had seen as well) but gave me an estimate on when I could repair it safely rather than push me to do something I couldn't afford. Will be going back for getting that issue fixed. read more

"Yeah right.. I'm gonna get my car repaired at a dealership. Huh! Why don't I just flush my money down the toilet?" -George Costanza, Seinfeld da Scene: On a referral from my cousin (a fellow Yelp!er) I found myself at Dave's a few months ago for some routine work and check up... the ol'Explorer had been sitting awhile and I am trying to get it ready for my daughter to start driving. They were quick & efficient, nice folks, seemed to me trustworthy. Big deal for me as I'm no mechanic, if ya told me "you need a new johnston rod installed..." I'd say Ok, go for it. They did mention a few things that might need attention, filed for future reference. da Work: Fast Forward 6 months and after some driving, I noticed some things that worried me safety-wise, for comparison I had the dealer take a look and the quote was about 50% higher than what Lisa had quoted me, so back to Dave's for more. A fair amount of work for a 2000 Explorer with 275K miles and a blue book of maybe 6K? But I'm nostalgic about my 1st new truck, so I'll keep her going as long as I can. Some parts are hard to come by, so they had to make some pivots and fabrication to get things going but she drive smooth, so I'm happy. da Service: A little hiccup in delivery time and pickup, but they made it right with an invoice adjustment... I felt WELL compensated. Things happen, sometime ya just gotta roll with it - in this case working through the issue and keeping communications open & cordial resulted in a reward financially. KUDOS to Dave's ownership/management for the great customer service & professionalism. read more

Had some pulleys replaced and my timing belt done on my LS400. Service advisor had great communication and answered any questions I had. I didn't speak to the mechanic but his work spoke for him. Great Work! Worth the money and on my side, I let them do their job, gave them my patience and trusted them with my vehicle. Recommend their services! read more

The great reviews this shop has is 100% warranted. Lisa is great with people and is very good at conveying any issues with the car. She isn't pushy at all and will honestly tell you what needs to be fixed and what can wait. Prices are very fair. I'm glad I found this place and I'll definitely keep coming back! Also there's a very cute pup who's there half the day! read more

Great service, and great price! I liked how things were explained to me, and also how they addressed some other things that needed to be done. They also charged my battery and inflated my spare tire, which was flat At no extra charge. They did the job for half the price that the dealership quoted me! read more

Very honest and well experienced auto repair. I trust them handling my Toyota. Got me in right away for a quick oil change and tire checks. This auto shop is the place to go for repairs. Lisa Burns is a top level owner of this shop. I took my car for a steering problem and wanted it safe for taking my 95 year old mother to doctor's appointments. Lisa went over the whole car to make sure there weren't any other issues , which gives me peace of mind. Then my sons car developed an electrical problem and once again Lisa fixed the problem and made sure the car was safe. This is the place you want to take your car with honest work and very fair prices. Go see Lisa Burns for your auto repairs needs, she will give you excellent service! RANDY ODA read more

The starter motor in Hooptie, our 1998 Toyota pick up truck, was feebing out. Hubby called and spoke with Lisa. She was remarkably knowledgeable about any possible problems with the starter and suggested that it may only need new solenoid contacts, which would have saved beaucoup bucks. We made arrangements to have it towed to Dave's Auto Repair. After an initial inspection, it was determined that the starter was beyond repair. Lisa also noted that the battery was old and weak which could lead to problems with the starter. They did a complete inspection on the truck and also found the bushings holding the steering rack were failing. At first it was thought just the bushings could be replaced but it turned out that the rack and bushings were meant to to be replaced as a unit. It took a few days for the necessary part to come in. We were not charged for the additional labor to install the new rack (as opposed to just installing the bushings). They did their magic and two days later, Hooptie was ready to come home. While driving, we noticed a slight occasional tightness when turning the steering wheel. We called Lisa and she said to bring the truck back. They made a quick adjustment and all was right with it again. As a retired heavy equipment operator and a skilled mechanic, my husband was impressed by Lisa's knowledge and integrity in dealing with the truck. We would not hesitate to bring our vehicles to them again. read more

I was referred to this "Honda specialist" by another nearby auto repair after explaining 2 tow trips and multiple visits to a different shop and the local Honda dealer. I truly believed my 05 Accord with 200k was not going to be worth repairing. Lisa took the time to discuss the issues and explain potential solutions in detail. She and her awesome mechanic painstakingly figured out and made the repairs at a reasonable price! I highly recommend this business!! read more

Impeccable fast service! We took our 2005 Honda Accord to two other mechanics who couldnt figure out the problem. Dave's was so helpful in a thorough inspection of the car and assisted with prioritizing repairs on a car with 220K miles! read more

I called in for a battery replacement and was told to come by. I dropped off the car at the time requested and came back an hour later, only to be told that they can't squeeze me in until end of day maybe. Owner stated she did not approve since she wasn't there. Regardless this was a waste of 2+ hours of my time on a weekend, after including the drive. Make sure your reservation is owner approved before you go or you'll waste precious time. read more

Dave's Auto is owned and operated by 2 very amazing women that know their stuff. I'm happy with the work their mechanics do. My ten year old Camry purrs like a kitten. Whenever I need something done that I don't quite understand, they take the time to explain. If I need something costly done, they let me know whether it's a must do now or how much time I can wait for. They never try to "over sell" me. I'm extremely happy with this team! read more

Dave's is the best. A few years ago, I was a broke student and my car needed a fair bit of work. I told Dave's that I wanted my car to be safe, even if I can't afford all the maintenance that I "should" do. Lisa gave her honest opinion without trying to upsell, and she helped me stay safe on the road. I trust this shop, and I go back for all of my maintenance. Even routine oil changes. Lisa and her crew are amazing! Someone attempted to steal my vehicle but ended up damaging the ignition switch and various other components. Dave's is owned by Lisa. Lisa is the perfect auto repair person with many years of knowledge, the highest ethics, and the ability to help manage costs. I have a habit of buying older used cars with low mileage and driving them for several years to avoid car payments. Lisa has helped me after purchase to get the car issue free, and also to maintain our cars as things go wrong. She helped me get a very old camper van into highway/camping reliability. She has kept our 2003 Toyota and 2005 Mazda both in tip top shape. I just brought my newly purchased 2007 Toyota Sienna mini van to her and she took care of the necessary repairs. My mini was not a usual model they work on so she recommended me to a place down the street. She advised me on what was required vs what would be "good to do" but could be put off a bit to allow for budgeting. I highly recommend Dave's as the place to go for all your used car needs. read more

I spoke with Lisa through the app and she advised me to come in so I could get an accurate estimate on a preventative service that I wanted done, so I did. When I got there we talked out what I wanted to do and why and she gave me some honest advice about why I didn't need to spend money on that service. We talked about different scenarios and she priced them for me but she also let me know that my full-coverage insurance would help me out if I was ever in certain situations. I appreciate the honesty here and I will definitely come to this shop when services are needed. read more

Highly recommended.  Lisa is amazing and so is her staff.  I scheduled online to get a 50,000 mile tune up on my old Toyota Camry that has high mileage.  Repair estimate is very reasonable.  She let me know ahead of time before doing any fixes and no surprises.  She even gave me a quote on getting the struts done and advised me that it doesn't need to be done immediately but in the future.  No pressure. For me this place is top notch in my opinion and i would definitely recommend this place due to my experience and will come here.  Customer oriented and very knowledgeable. read more

Highly recommended. My daughter's Acura broke down at night a few days before Thanksgiving, and we had it towed to their lot. We don't live in the area, but took a chance on Dave's Auto. It was some time before we were able to deal with the car issue, and Lisa graciously allowed it to sit there until then- (I didn't have time to drop the key off for several days). She explained to us what procedures/tests they needed to run for diagnosis, and what the possible causes(and costs) could be. She was transparent, friendly but professional- gave me a rundown of what the car needed, and offered me the options. She was able to put in a new alternator, throw in some other minor fixes, and service it in 1 day. Fast communication, honest service, decent prices, reliable work. Will be returning soon to change out the timing belt. Thanks Lisa! read more
