Jeff has to be the most honest mechanic that has ever existed! On top of that... he is MOBILE! Talk about convenience!! I just purchased a used car last week and the dealership that I purchased it from was less than dishonest. My car became un-drive-able. As a single mom who just put all of her savings into the purchase, you can only imagine the heartbreak I felt with being taken advantage of. Transmission issue with a check engine light. I did my research via internet/ youtube with the code I got from my bluetooth scanner. I spent some time looking for leaks and checking sensors in hopes I can find a break in the wires to no avail. My next step would be to swap out valvebody but I was unsure if this will fix issue. I was skeptical because I figured- they'll just come out, plug in their scanner and tell me what I already think I know. He showed up on time with a face mask, plugged in his scanner, inspected vehicle and oil(s) then went on a test drive. With the scanner was plugged in, he analyzed the data- graphs and diagnostics. We drove around pulling over and he reset code 3 times to pinpoint issue. He eventually asked to drive because he noticed transmission not passing 3rd gear or slipping, then began to drive shifting through lower gears. After the test drive, he answered my questions, showed me graphs with the issue and when it occurs. He wrote up a report for me with pictures of the graphs from his scan tool and a detailed written report. Don't let the 2 review fool you, this guy is very technical and detailed. Never made me feel like I was being rushed and very professional. He went above and beyond my expectations. He followed up and did the legwork of contacted a few transmission shops near me to get me quotes for rebuilding/ replacing transmission. read more

My check engine light and throttle control light came on in the middle of the freeway and my car started slowing down. I had to pull into the shoulder and restart my car. I was panicked because all auto repair shops were closing within 30 minutes and every website said I needed to get it checked immediately. I called Jeff and he was able to come to my house within 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable and honest about what the car needed. I received a professional price breakdown with pictures included of what he was specifically looking at from the code reader/diagnostic tool (more transparent than a lot of places). I highly recommend this mechanic (and he's mobile). A young 21st Century modern mechanic, tech savvy. I called because I had grinding noises from my brakes. He was very responsive, honest, friendly, has experience racing and working on cars. I liked how he told me it's possible I won't even need brakes and rotors, that he charges for an inspection and he actually lubricates all the brake components for you for free. If you end up needing a repair the inspection is included free in the total price. He provides digital photos and videos of inspection and brake work, before and after etc. He was very responsive during a Saturday and actually moved our appointment a day earlier to today (Sunday) instead of Monday. When I found the parts he was supplying from a local supplier cheaper at O'Reilly he price matched it. The thing I like is you get an automated real business quote texted to you before you even meet him. He didn't try to upsell me anything and even recommended keeping the brakes I had but I told him to go ahead and change it since I drive a lot. He will have success in this business for sure, I complained how dishonest big O tires in Pinole was and told him I was looking for a long term trusted mechanic I can call.
