Tuesday, May 28, 2019 -- David helped me out and was awesome. ----------------------- Arrived at 2:25. Appointment was for 3pm. No one's here, just me. They had me fill out a sheet asking for my name, address, and phone number. While waiting for Hung to input my info into their system, this other guy, didn't get his name, started cracking jokes saying they only do smogs on the 5th Friday of each month. I was like uhhhh....then he said I'm just messing with you. Then Hung had me sign a sheet that showed $59.99 for the smog test. I asked if I could apply the coupon that I saw on their website for $10 off and he kind of just mumbled some words and said just sign. So I signed. Then he got my keys and moved my car into the garage at 2:32. He finished up the smog test and parked my car in the finished area at 2:51 which was a lot faster than I expected. $10 discount applied by nice lady, 3pm I was out of there.

In the middle of a busy work day, my front left Axel breaks. I heard about Accutech through my Networking group so I was comfortable making the call. I called Accutech Auto Care. The owner Mr. Booze, picked up my call and was happy to assist. We towed my car to his shop in Pinole and he did a free diagnostics. I brought my car in last Wednesday and he said it wouldn't be ready until the following Monday. I needed break pads and some other crucial work done. I found his his staff to be professional and caring. They even covered the Lyft ride to my home, which was unexpected. He calls me on Friday to tell me that my car would be ready that afternoon! Which save me the hassle of finding temporary transportation. When I picked up my car, it looked brand new because he got it washed. They really go above and beyond. The receptionist went over every item on the work order to make me feel comfortable about the work performed and the future work that needs to be done. I honestly feel lucky to have a trusted mechanic. After my experience with Accutech Auto Care, I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family for their auto care needs.

I went here for a smog certification. It was around lunch time so I was told the technician was still on his lunch break and wouldn't be back for another 10 minutes. I said I'd wait. I was probably in and out of there in less than 30minutes. I had such a good experience that I'm seriously considering coming to them for oil change as well.

Accutech Auto did an excellent work on my truck, the best part was they give a ride home and I didn't have to wait in the shop.

It's usually pretty fast so it's convenient for me to be able to just sit in the car while it gets done. The techs are really nice and explain what is being done as they go. I get the same service done every time so they go off of my license plate when I pull up and just ask me if that is ok and have me sign and date the form and proceed with the oil change. Before they're finished they let me know everything they have completed and if anything needs to be looked at or if I need to monitor anything for the next time. My rear right tire was low on pressure so they added air and made sure I was made aware to keep a look out for that in case that was something I may need to replace. Pricing is pretty comparable to other places so that's a plus. You pay and the receipt along with breakdown is provided and you're on your way. I always ask them to turn off my service light cause my car is fairly old and it doesn't come off automatically. The guys are nice and do it and give me my next service sticker and I'm off. Quick and easy and never an issue. I would definitely recommend coming here!

My tire pressure light never came on, so I suspected the nail hadn't punctured through. The guy at the front counter was actually very nice and helpful with checking me in. But when I went to the back where the tire workers were, one of the techs told me my car "doesn't have tire pressure sensors." That is completely false MY 2022 Honda Insight DOES have TPMS. Then they tried to tell me I needed a whole new tire for $280 without showing me any real damage. The attitude from the workers in the back made it seem like they assumed I didn't know anything simply because I'm a young woman. It felt very dismissive and unprofessional. I trusted my gut and went across the street to NFS Tires for a second opinion. The tech there removed the nail, sealed the hole, patched the tire correctly and charged me $45. He confirmed the tire was totally fine and did NOT need to be replaced. Big O Tires gave me incorrect information about my own vehicle and tried to upsell me unnecessarily. Meanwhile, NFS Tires was honest, quick, and affordable. If you're in Pinole, go to NFS Tires instead they actually treat customers fairly.

On Monday, July 27th, I called to schedule an alignment for my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali. I was given an appointment for Friday, July 31st at 9:00am and was told the alignment would take about an hour. When I dropped my vehicle off Friday morning, I explained to the worker that I had work from 11:30am-5:15pm and that I would not be able to answer my phone while I was working. Since the vehicle was dropped off at 9:00am and I was told the alignment would take about an hour, I expected there would be enough time for the service to be completed before I had to leave for work. I didn't mind if the vehicle stayed there for the day as long as I could pick it up afterward, but I was not expecting it to take all day. I was expecting to pay at drop-off so the keys could be left in the lockbox after hours if needed, but instead I was told I would receive a payment link online. I did not receive a text confirming my vehicle was ready along with the payment link until 2:53pm, well into my work shift. I had already explained that I would not be available to respond. They then called me at 3:40pm and again at 4:05pm, despite knowing I was at work and unable to answer. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed an additional $20.64 charge for adding oil because the vehicle was reportedly 1.5 quarts low. This was never discussed with me and I never gave approval for oil to be added or for that additional charge. The biggest concern came afterward. After leaving work and going to pick it up, I saw someone who worked there (who I later found out was the business owner) he told me that I did not pay the invoice by 4pm (which I was never told to do so- even after explaining my work situation with the business) and that the vehicle was going to be locked in the garage until Monday. I was later able to locate my vehicle parked in a residential neighborhood near the business owners house (which 2 miles from the business) after I was told multiple times that my vehicle was locked safely inside the garage. I was able to contact the owner from a mutual friend and he agreed to meet Saturday August 1st (they are closed for the weekend) for me to pick up my vehicle if I payed the payment link beforehand . Because I wanted my vehicle returned, I paid the invoice, including the unauthorized additional charge, even though I had intended to discuss it first. The following morning, Saturday, August 1st, I went to speak with the owner directly he arrived at the shop driving my vehicle. When I asked where my vehicle had actually been kept and why I was told it was in the garage. The business owner said it was actually parked at their storage lot and when I asked the location he repeatedly told me it was "none of my business." Instead of addressing my concerns, he became defensive and dismissive. I also noticed that the vehicle had been moved while it was in their possession. I reset my trip meter when I get gas and documented the mileage before dropping the vehicle off. When I dropped it off Friday, July 31st, the trip meter showed 47 miles. When I picked it up Saturday, August 1st, it showed 56 miles, which is an additional 9 miles. This raised additional concerns about how my vehicle was being handled while it was not in my possession. My concerns are not just about the alignment itself, they are about communication, transparency, additional charges that were never approved, and how customer vehicles are handled after hours. I have photo and video documentation of our conversation in person and the GPS data supporting my concerns regarding where my vehicle was located and the circumstances surrounding this situation. Additionally, I've filed a report and submitted this information to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Burrough & Sons Automotive
