I went there for the first time back in October 2024 for an oil change. Everything went smoothly. Fast forward to about a week ago. My maintenance light came on. I checked my sticker on my windshield and for whatever reason, the date that maintenance should be on was for October 2025. I thought, "ok, that must be a typo. Its fine." But when I looked at the mileage thats on the sticker versus my actual mileage, I could've easily driven another 300+ miles before the service light should've turned on. My husband wanted to put more oil in for now until our next actual oil change but I said no. Since it needs an oil change anyways, lets just get it done. Due to busy schedules, we ended up going to a 15 min oil change area. They did great! But my maintenance light was still on. I got worried and thought there was more issues to my car besides the oil change. Few days later, called Rodeo Auto Tech. Spoke with Chris. Explained to him I had an oil change at a 15 min spot the other week, my light was on, can you look into it? He says "oh, they just probably forgot to reset the light. We can look at it and just reset the light for you manually. Come on in tomorrow at 10:30 and we'll look at it for you." I come in next day. The guy at the front desk helped me out and I didn't know it was Chris. My husband also said Hi to his friend Frankie who was in the office. We gave Chris the keys and he started heading to his back door to the garage. Didn't say anything, just started to walk. I said before I left "so..thats it? So you'll call us?" Just to confirm i'm all set. He looked at me annoyed and said in annoyance "yes. Thats it. I'll call you." So my husband and I got to our other car. Chris was inspecting mileage of my car and then parted ways. Few hours later, he calls and says "your oil change is all done! Your car is ready for pick up!" I was extremely confused. I told him I spoke with someone yesterday about how I JUST got my oil change and wanted to know what to do about my maintenance light being on. Then I said "You know what? I think I spoke to YOU. I spoke to a guy names Chris yesterday. YOUR Chris right?" You could hear the panic in his voice and he said he'll call me back. He calls me back and then turns it around on me and says "Yeah, when you came in this morning, you said you needed an oil change. We scanned the car, it said you needed an oil change. So we did the oil change. You were the people this morning right? That said hi to Frankie and you saw me looking at your car before you left." I said "No, we did not ask for an oil change. You just took our keys and started walking away. Why would I ask for an oil change when I just got an oil change?! Did you guys not see how clean my oil was before you changed it?!" Then he says, let me call you back. Now i'm upset because it seemed like he was trying to pin this on me. He calls me back. He's upset. I'm upset. He calls me back annoyed and angry but still trying to be professional and says "We changed your oil. We scanned your car. Your car said it needed an oil change. We changed it. We won't charge you for this. Let me call you back." I'm beyond upset and told my husband to deal with them before it gets worse if I handled it. So my husband talks to them and turns out Frankie spoke with my husband and apologized for the issue and for Chris' behavior. My husband goes inside later to pick up my keys from Chris. Chris apologized. Chris. The way you spoke to me and your annoyance as soon as you helped me and then the way you spoke to me after was extremely rude and unprofessional. Lost a customer. read more

Taken all my cars here in the past and have had great experiences. Love that it's close by and like supporting local businesses so now I need to find a new shop. They may have been busy and they're doing some remodeling in the entrance lobby, (((but))) customer service was garbage. My son's oil pan is leaking oil. Had him call the shop and dude was rude and sounded bothered about the question and answered nothing. So I stopped by after the gym for a second attempt in person. I asked what is the cost to replace the oil pan gasket on a mustang? Because it's my sons car and not sure if I want to pay hella bread on his problem. He tells me they'll put dye in it to see where it's leaking from and have me drive it for a couple days. And it could be anything from a valve cover leaking to a timing chain. What? I see where it's leaking and am asking for an estimated price of that job. Must be hard to type in the computer and get the price. Next time just say you only give estimates after you charge for the inspection. Like I said great experience in the past but ehhh I'm good. My brain might be looking at it wrong but if I show up with a flat tire and ask you how much it's gonna cost to change it. I'm not expecting someone to tell me it could be your rotor or your brakes or maybe your wheel bearings are bad. read more

April 01,2025 walked into this location and was greeted with a big customer friendly hello and welcome. That was a pleasant surprise. This type of customer service has gone out the window. Tall guy at the counter made me feel very welcomed. Brought a 2021 Tesla Model 3 to this location on that date. I got a quote from them the week before from another friendly counter person to install two shields on the bottom of a Tesla Model 3. The original shields were made out of plastic. I wanted to replace those with a stronger aftermarket shield. Of course, the shields came with no instructions. It took the installer a little longer to install both shields, no fault of his. I offered to pay more money for the install, the friendly counter person said no thanks and they stuck to their original quote. I was in the shop for a minute. I watched how the staff treated new and regular customers. In the future I will be bringing my two Honda cars to this shop for service. Nice to see good customer service still exist. My experience at this shop was very positive. read more

This is my go to place to fix almost anything with my 2009 Murano. These guys know cars and know how to fix them. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have great techs who can usually diagnose a problem within an hour. Sometimes they can fix things on the spot. I always have them do my oil changes and wheel rotation. When a headlight went out three weeks ago they replaced it. When I picked up my car I checked the lights. They went on then off. Turns out I needed a much bigger part which they ordered and placed in the car within a couple of days. My lights are good now so I can drive at night. read more

I had taken my car here to have a smog performed that I was trying to get registered. My car failed the smog due to a readiness monitor not being on. So, I was told to drive the car for 200 miles, then have it rechecked. I drive 200 miles still not on. I am told again that I still need to drive it, and I do another 100 miles and its still not on. So I ask if there is anything else that can be done and the guy that was at the counter said "no, you just have to keep driving it." At over 700 miles I go back, and the monitor still is not on. This time the guy at the counter gives me a number to the state referee, and says tells me that they would be able to exempt my car due to the monitor not being on. So I contact the state referee to set up an appointment. However, I was informed by the referee that I was being given bad information. The state referee will not make an exemption for readiness monitors not being on. Also, I was informed that just driving the the car will not help turn the monitor to come on. there is a specific drive cycle that must be performed. For my cars cycle to come on which is not just "drive it" and a competent smog shop should of known this. I ended up finding a different shop and took my car to Accutech in Pinole. The mechanic there knew about the drive cycle it need, put it on a dyno, ran the cycle, and the monitor came on. I wasted a month of my time driving this car on every day off I had. I will never take any of my cars back to this place. They are overpriced, and apparently don't know what they are talking about. read more

I'm shocked this place has so many good ratings... probably mostly from regulars and locals but I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Came here because I didn't want to drive too far and I wanted a service done immediately, but in the end I should have just bit the bullet and went somewhere else. Dropped my car off first thing in the morning and I wanted to confirm with them that my service would be done before I had to go to work, otherwise I would need a plan to take public transportation. They PROMISED it would be done before my specified time (approx 6 hours after drop off). Definitely was not completed before then, AND they had the nerve to call me 5 minutes before their closing time to tell me it was finally done and ready for pickup (almost 3-4 hours after promised time). Not only that, when I came back for pick up they told me all the things that were potentially wrong with my car and quoted me almost $4000 of suggested repairs. They claimed my brakes were only gonna be good for about 1000 miles... Almost 10,000 miles later and my brakes are still fine. I showed my mechanic friend their diagnosis and he literally laughed and said these issues are illegitimate and they are trying to get over like a fat rat. Save your money, save your time, and go somewhere else. I came here over 12 years ago to get my first car serviced and it broke down less than a mile from their location. I should have known to never come back here again. Lesson learned. read more

I took my car here for an oil change in late October. This was the 3rd time I've used them but this was the 1st time for an oil change. I wanted to support a local small business and an oil change is quite simple. I drove my car a few hundred miles after the oil change and then I went on vacation. My car sat in my garage this whole time. When I came back, I noticed a rather large oil puddle on the garage floor when I took my car out. After a day, I parked my car slightly to the left. I noticed more oil leak. I've taken my car back to my dealer where they checked it and rectified the problem. ($200 later) I want to feel secure when I'm driving my car. Rodeo AutoTech botched the oil change (who would have thought that anyone can botch an oil change?). I am very disappointed, to say the least. I asked Amy to look for a transmission leak or oil leak because of excessive smoke from under my 2004 Ford Explorer. They neglected to check but finally ran OBD2 and got a P1744 error. I asked them to service the transmission which is fluid and filter replacement. They failed to replace the filter. They charged $178 to diagnose and $126 to change the fluid. I now have to send the truck to another shop to replace the filter because the error could be caused by dirty filter or clogged valve port. To make it worse, they did not even show me the trans fluid and recommended a transmission replacement. read more
