I'm afraid there are no "deals" when it comes to auto repair. Most shops quotes are usually market rates and pretty competitive ... unless going to a dealership! Always stings when you are addressing mechanical issues. With that said, this shop uses software / app that clearly defines the issues that presented with a scan and diagnostic. The customer has the ability to review the most serious issues needing attention ... and agree to authorize which services to complete. Prices are clearly presented and broken down with parts/labor so it is very easy to price shop if you are hesitant to authorize a service. I did not find that this shop was a bargain nor overpriced ... again pretty much market rates for labor and parts. Some may find a $200 charge for diagnostic and overall vehicle inspection high, however I found the results well worth it as I now have a roadmap of services needing attention. Some I can handle myself and others will require the shop service. I consider the detailed diagnostics more of a safety check as my Toyota work van has 315,000 miles and still going strong. I dealt with Victor, who was extremely communicative and kept in touch multiple times during a 24 hour period with updates on the vehicle status.

I was told that it needed a few other services, including replacing 2 tires. For the services that my car "needed" I was given a quote of $4,000 (oil change, tire rotation, clean intake valves, replace the two back tires, replace front brakes, and replace transmission fluid). When I asked the guy who was assisting me what were the most urgent issues, he avoided answering my question directly and kept on trying to explain how it all was necessary. I ended up getting the oil change, tire rotations and one other thing that can't recall. The services that I didn't get were still about $3,000, I share this because this is where I felt like I was taken advantage of and lied to. I did tons of research, called various places to get quotes for the services I still had pending... everywhere else I called was a lot less than what this place quoted me. I ended paying $1200 for the needed services. Also, for the 2 tires he had told me I had to replace asap for my safety, I went to two tire shops and they both told me the it was only one tire that needed to be replace and that it could last at least 2 more months. Do your research, don't commit to getting the services done here. Couple other things to keep in mind: they will send a $20 if you have them a 5 star review ($20 isn't worth lying or going back). Also, they kept on contacting me after to come back and take care of the other services.

They were Spot on about the battery & I had to call AAA for a jump 2 times in 6 days. Next is getting my battery replaced. Next, I was told the SRS module needed to be replaced. I had to pick up the car and return it again multiple times because I needed the car and each time, I was told that the module had been installed and just needed to be reprogrammed. Each time I dropped off the car, I was given a false promise about when it would be ready. This week, I dropped it off on Monday and as of Thursday, no progress had been made, though I was promised it would be ready this week. I understand that some repairs can be complex, but they need to be honest with customers about the time that the work will take. If you know something will take a month, you can decide accordingly when to drop off the car. I'm also not convinced the work would ever have been completed if I hadn't given up and made an appointment with the dealership instead. When I called a different shop I was told that you typically need to bring a car to the dealership to have a module reprogrammed because other shops don't have the tools or software to do it. I wish Galicia Auto Repair would have told me they couldn't do the work rather than wasting my time. I wouldn't even be leaving this review if not for one other thing. When I called the shop yesterday to get an update on the status of my car (since they never call back with updates, despite promising to), the phone was answered by an "AI receptionist". The system responded to "agent" by offering to connect me to a person, but when it did, I got a recording saying that no one was available, with no way to leave a message. This happened ten times over two days, all during business hours. Eliminating any way to reach a person by phone during business hours just shows how much contempt they have for their customers.
