This delicatessen sells meats, cheeses (including goats cheese), olives and oils as well as pizza slices, healthy snacks, chocolates and sandwiches to take away. This is a nice, little store, even if the prices are quite outrageous. You can probaly find most of their products or something similar at Tesco, Brent Park (which is a short drive away).

The fresh ingedients and almost freshly baked baguettes are mouthwatering . I especially like the mortadella here. They baguettes are not cheap, but reasonably priced. They make a great coffee here, although they are not huge cups, and take them a while to prepare. This is just the sort of local shop that I love to see thrive in an urban environment, often squeezed out by multiples, opening scaled down versions of the larger supermarkets.

Brownie points for all the cafes here in London that have quickly caught on to replacing nonrecycleable plastic straws. Also available here is shelves full of other Portuguese specialities, where you can find tins, biscuits, juices etc. Right by the cashier, there's a shelf full of Portuguese alcohol: Port (obviously), a selection of red & white wines and more hard liquors. The staff is very friendly here. I asked them to show me some typical Portuguese food items and they were very helpful. Confirming the typical stereotype that haunts Portuguese people, the pace at this shop is rather slow. They certainly are not the most efficient folks...but maybe that's the reason why the invented such an amazing variety of specialities? Who knows... Side note: the first time I walked into the shop, I was a bit surprised - to put it mildly - by the smell. At first I couldn't place where exactly it came from, but it turns out to be originating in the fish corner...

Or it's on par with sex, depending on your partner, and depending on how they might be covered in cured meats and cheeses (and sauce). Whatever. It's otherwise a smallish market so don't travel the breadth of Britain to source something without checking in advance. But if near, you should definitely pop in for food, drinks or chatting with staff.

Location is super convenient as it is just right next to the Kilburn station on the Jubilee line. I will go there often, as it is a perfect choice for breakfast or lunch.
