A new property manager later found a contractor quoting $795 for the same work. The deeper problem is structural: all maintenance is routed through Realty Medics' internal process, while the original contractor's information is not disclosed. In my experience, this resulted in repeated failures, higher charges, and no lasting solution. Property owners should have access to vendor information, warranty records, itemized invoices, and independent estimates.

I then moved and rented with a management company for about 7 years. It was a great apartment, but the building started to go downhill and the people living there were not my cup of tea. I wanted to move out ASAP! Dorothy came to the rescue again! I've been wanting to live in The Sanctuary for years, and it is a tough building to get into. When units come up for rent (which are few and far between) they go really quickly. I checked Urbanista's site every day for about a month and one day a unit popped up. I called Dorothy and she got me in to look at the unit 30 minutes later, as she knows those units are a time sensitive matter. I met with her partner Jeremy, who was just as great! He showed me the apartment (which was treated poorly by the previous tenant and wasn't my style) and he quickly showed me another unit in the building that I was unaware of and I loved it! I asked to put an offer in the next day and Dorothy quickly got to work. I gave them a move-in date of the following week, so everything had to be done fast. Since Urbanista was not the listing agent of the apartment, we had to deal with another realtor from a different real estate company as well and I was unimpressed with his performance on getting this all together once it was handed over to him. He promised me a lease to sign within a couple hours and I still did not have one until the following day over 24 hours later (a day before my move-in date) and I still had to do orientation at the new building before I could be allowed to move in. Everything was down to the last minute. I kept in contact with Dorothy during the whole process and she was able to act as a middle man and make sure the other realtor did their job and got things done for me. She definitely made them hustle when she heard that they were not doing their job timely. I'm now moved into my new apartment and I absolutely love it! My unit remained vacant for three months without a tenant or any discernible progress. My calls went unanswered, and I had to repeatedly contact her via text messages, to which she would typically respond two days later. When I brought my concerns to upper management, she attempted to rectify the situation, but unfortunately, it was beyond repair. Ultimately, I had to terminate the agreement. I then engaged a management company that proved to be exceptionally proactive and communicative. They successfully identified a new tenant within a week, and the tenant moved in the following week. It is truly regrettable to operate and work in such circumstances when one cannot conduct business professionally. I have unfortunately expended my time and resources by placing my trust in a central Florida management company that proved to be untrustworthy.

He was EXTREMELY patient with us (two very picky girls with crazy schedules) and helped making an otherwise hard process easier than expected. He went above and beyond to show us homes that fell into our criteria and took it upon himself to pick out and show us five or six at a time. Sometimes if we liked a home he would show it to us a couple of times to allow my girlfriend's parents to see it as well, and if that's not amazing customer service I'm not sure what is. He returns phone calls quickly which made the whole offer making process so much less stressful and because he was so easy to get a hold of it allowed us to see houses when my girlfriend and I's schedule allowed which was great. He was also really gay friendly which was important to us as we met with a realtor or two before meeting Don that treated us like we were roommates instead of a couple. We are in contract for our new home now and he helped us pick out the best inspectors in town.
