They looked over my house and detached garage and provided a quote for all services and explained that it would be cheaper to bundle all services into one setup fee instead of paying setup fees every time we wanted a new protection offering added. I was assured that the quote would be good for 60 days and would cover both my house and garage space. We shopped around a bit, but a month later decided to start only with termite protection and scheduled someone to come out for the install. When the installer arrived, he immediately informed me that only the house would be covered for the quoted installation price and I would need to pay four times the amount to include my garage space. I told him there was no way I would pay that since I was assured the original quote included the garage. He said he would make a call to see what the office wanted to do about it. He came back and apologized saying there were newer sales guys involved on my original quote but there was no wiggle room on the 4x setup amount and left. I called the office and asked to speak to a manager about the situation. I was told that he was in a meeting all day, but would call me back as soon as possible. I never received a call. This was a complete bait and switch move with no response from management. If they can't even call me back, I suppose I shouldn't expect them to honor their quotes, either. BUYER BEWARE. STEER CLEAR.

That guy was very friendly, seemed pretty dedicated to ensuring I was happy with his performance, and I don't fault him one bit. But he didn't seem knowledgeable in the slightest. I have a brother who was in pest control for a couple years, so I know pretty much firsthand what to expect from a dedicated worker at a good company. Moxie's guy was nice, but not the competent, knowledgeable expert I want. Moxie sales reps are incredibly pushy. They'll knock on your door, give you a spiel about how desperately you need pest services, and then rush you to sign right away. Would you be surprised to know the company is founded by Mormons? Read EVERYTHING. Read ALL of the fine print, and most importantly, make a note of what is NOT included. Cancellation is incredibly difficult. I would strongly recommend not signing with the sales rep. Do your research. Moxie's prices are far over market, which would be fine if their service matched, but it doesn't. I noticed no difference at all in the number of pests. They'll tell you that you'll see more after the first treatment for whatever reason, to try to ease your worries. But I just kept seeing them. They'll also take small issues and magnify them to scare you into buying more treatments. They'll pitch you way more than what you need. I needed termite treatment. They pitched me a $13k treatment. I called another local service and got it done for $100. The caveat is that Moxie said that their treatment was guaranteed for something like ten years, while the cheaper alternative was yearly. I'm no mathematician, but those numbers don't seem to go in Moxie's favor. The thing that absolutely soured me on them was when they had a "state inspector" check out my attic space. He told me he was absolutely not affiliated with Moxie, and would recommend whatever service he felt was the best value. Naturally, he said Moxie. He also said that my attic had dangerously toxic air quality, and that's why I had breathing problems. Thing is, I don't have breathing issues, so there was no way I was buying the multi-thousand-dollar service he was recommending. I told him I'd think about it, and when I called a couple days later to cancel, he did everything he could to make me feel foolish for not taking his recommendation to call Moxie. I got another company to come out, explained everything, and the guy was dumbfounded. They quoted me a much better price, and explained everything that Moxie was technically correct about, but was massively exaggerating. I finally got out of the contract, which they claim is not a contract. It is. The print literally locks you in for a year, even though they say it doesn't. Avoid at all costs. The way they sell it, you'd think this town had no solution to pest control before they showed up.

I'd give it less than one star if I could. Entire experience was one big headache. Plus, my bugs…read morewere not significantly different with or without the spraying. It started with a door to door solicitation for pest control. I was only a year into the house and the area, and thought I'd give them a try. I signed up for a quarterly service for outside spraying for a year, and they'd spray inside if needed. They tried to add on a mosquito spraying as well, and I said that I hadn't noticed any problem with mosquitos, even mowing my own lawn, so I'd pass. Unknown to me, they signed me up for that also, anyway. The guy I was working with had me sign his iPad a couple of times, and I got no copy of the contract. A few months later, I noticed I was being double billed, and I called customer service. They said I had signed the contract for both, and was obligated, but they'd give me the benefit of the doubt if I extended the regular service an additional quarter. After an extended conversation, and exhausted with the confrontation, I agreed. After talking with neighbors, I found another service that was more effective, and I thought I'd switch at the end of my contract. Then Rumble failed to show up for a quarterly visit. I called customer service to cancel the service immediately despite paying four extra monthly payments without service. I was told that I could cancel only if I paid an additional cancellation charge. Then they hung up on me promptly at 5pm, quitting time, without resolution to the issue. Don't know how they escape the BBB, but stay away from these scammers. Bad business model, bad product.
