Natural State Pest Control sent two individuals out to assess my house's needs. We asked for a quote for termites primarily, but were considering their full range of protection against spiders, ants, mosquitoes, etc.. They looked over my house and detached garage and provided a quote for all services and explained that it would be cheaper to bundle all services into one setup fee instead of paying setup fees every time we wanted a new protection offering added. I was assured that the quote would be good for 60 days and would cover both my house and garage space. We shopped around a bit, but a month later decided to start only with termite protection and scheduled someone to come out for the install. When the installer arrived, he immediately informed me that only the house would be covered for the quoted installation price and I would need to pay four times the amount to include my garage space. I told him there was no way I would pay that since I was assured the original quote included the garage. He said he would make a call to see what the office wanted to do about it. He came back and apologized saying there were newer sales guys involved on my original quote but there was no wiggle room on the 4x setup amount and left. I called the office and asked to speak to a manager about the situation. I was told that he was in a meeting all day, but would call me back as soon as possible. I never received a call. This was a complete bait and switch move with no response from management. If they can't even call me back, I suppose I shouldn't expect them to honor their quotes, either. BUYER BEWARE. I hired them to kill termites on my office building. The sidewalk goes up to the edge of the building, so I assumed that they would drill holes and chemically treat the termites. After I had hired them, They said "they don't do that". They don't drill holes, they only put out bait stations and they can't put them in areas that are paved. I had to hire Terminix to drill holes and kill the termites, so now I am paying both companies for their services. NSPC is coming out to remove the bait stations from the ground and take THEIR stations back. Nope read more

I had several issues with their bug maintenance service for ticks and mosquitoes. Basically, even with their service there were mosquitoes that I was getting bit by in the yard and ticks also . I had to call them back a couple times to spray again. Although they were coming to my house regularly, they told me to treat for ants (that showed up) they would charge more than $200 to come out to evaluate. That seemed excessive. I put out a $3 ant stake & took care of the ants. I canceled my service. Then six months later they debited my checking account for over $300. I called them and they agreed that I didn't have an account with them any longer and the made a bunch of excuses for using my debit card to take money out of my bank account, They said they credited my account, I called my bank no credit has shown up only the debit. Just a warning do not give them a debit card to automatically do anything if you choose to use their services. read more

In response to the owner I couldn't get it to let me reply Natural State Pest Control Feel free to reach out my information is on file. Along with us calling 3 times yesterday to try and cancel. We were told we would get an email or text confirming our account was canceled. We have heard nothing. I tried to sign in to the account and it says it is frozen so I take it that they did get it canceled even though they have still not reached out. I also received an email yesterday morning (a reply to me also emailing to make sure we would get the service we have already paid for) saying that they did do the mosquito treatment on Monday which is a complete lie. Besides the fact that we were home and saw that it wasn't done and the employee theirselves saying they did not have the machines yet to do it. Also the fact that he was only at our residence for 15 minutes and sprayed the inside of our house during that time. This is what I have complained multiple times about that we have to argue to just get the service done and the people in the office are not on the same page as the techs that are sent out. And every time I have tried to reach Meg at the office we are told she is not in, but she is the only one who can handle issues. Even when I returned her call 20 minutes later she was already gone. It might be worth scheduling her more time at the office if she is truly never there when we are told to call and speak with her. It would be different if they actually accepted when they mess up or don't do a service instead of arguing and swearing that it was done. But to me it is stealing to charge a customer and say you did a service that you did not do. read more

I have recently moved to a new area and found that my yard has miles. I contacted Natural State Peat and they had me an appointment the next day to start this mole elimination process. Doug Gann came out and was so professional and friendly. He explained what the process would be and also what other services they provide. It was not high pressure sales at all. I left a quote request on their website months ago and never heard back. Took my business elsewhere- not a big deal. Yesterday afternoon one of their employees was dropping off flyers in my neighborhood. While doing so- he cut across the flower beds in the very front of our houses. He completely killed at least 3 of my plants that I have spent months trying to grow. Very disrespectful. I hope my neighbors don't have the same damage. read more

I usually get tons of mosquito bites from being outside in the yard. This 4th of July my kids and I we're outside all night laying on blankets watching the fireworks and not one of us got a single mosquito bite! I have had Natural State Pest Control for 2 years and I'm so glad Ashton told me about yard defense. Now I don't have to worry about mosquitos or fleas along with all the other bugs and pests they have taken care of for me!!! If I could leave zero stars I would. They have no idea how to trap animals and I was also charged $271.25 without any authorization on my part. I asked the tech to please move the cage to a better location and he wouldn't listen to me, he made it sound like he knew more about my property than I did, I received the overall impression that he was very arrogant and haughty. The cage literally sat in my front card for three weeks, and no animals whatsoever. I was shocked when I got my credit card statement and saw that they charged me this much. I would use someone else who is more competent and honest. Really awful customer service and I told them I would be happy to pay something for their time, but no, they want my nearly 300 dollars for NOTHING. They really have no idea what the heck they are doing. Very bad business practices. read more
