I've called the national main number three times in a week & a half. I was told the ABQ office would call to schedule. NOPE! No calls. The 3rd time I called the national number, they put me on hold and called the ABQ office. I was then given a specific time on a specific date with the name of the technician. No call/text from the tech as I was told I would get the morning of the appointment. NO SHOW. I called the main number again and was transferred to the ABQ office only to be told the tech was out sick but should've contacted me. Unbelievable and totally unacceptable. Don't bother with Orkin. I don't know what they're using in their poison but I'm seeing an increase in centipedes. Also from reading some reviews others have posted centipedes problems as well. I never had centipedes prior to them spraying for cockroaches and spiders but after they sprayed I've already found 4 centipedes. Pretty overpriced if I'm still seeing pests. read more

The first visit with Nikki was great. We noticed great improvement for the $165 visit. Visits after were supposed to be $102 every other month. When the second visit happened with Tyler, he didn't seem worried about what I had to say about where I've been seeing the most and what kind... the first person mentioned taking pictures and being alert with him when he came to be sure the problem was taken care of. He didn't spray where I told him I was seeing them the most. He was in a super big hurry. He didn't care to answer my simple questions He was supposed to come back yesterday since the last visit didnt do anything and I'm seeing an increase in centipedes, sewer roaches, and spiders. He NO SHOWED... not even a phone call to cancel. When I called orkin, it took 2 days to finally reach someone to tell me the appt was rescheduled until the tenth. A) I left work early to meet them B) they should have confirmed the reschedule Just a waste of time and $102 down the drain for what did NOT work. Scheduled an appt with last week Saturday March 21st,2025 for a 10:00am to 12:00 window. I called at twelve and was told the technician was running late and would not arrive until 1:45PM. I asked why the tech couldn't call and saying he was running late so i could do other things. The person answering apologized. I waited till 2: 00 pm. The technician did not call to to say he couldn't keep the appt. I called the Orkin office only to listen to a recording saying the office was closed.Not acceptable.I there a rating for zero stars? read more

The actual service for my house is pretty good. The service technician is marvelous. But trying to get the Albuquerque office to actually do anything in regards to customer service is impossible. On three different occasions the manager was supposed to call me back they never bothered. I waited a week each time. Supposedly this time they're definitely going to call me back. I'm going to give it a week and then I'm going to cancel my service. Their excuse last time was your computer was down and that they would enter me into the system and get back to me. But it doesn't take 3 weeks to do that. Incredibly bad customer service locally. National customer service is great but they can't do anything like set an appointment for you. read more

I had a mouse problem that just started and got ahold of Orkin by phone. A guy came out that afternoon and put out about 10 sticky sheets and boxes to trap the mouse. Since I felt better after this I signed the service contract. But 5 days later I spotted the mouse again running at night and saw it had been in my pantry again. I tried to reach Orkin most of the next day thinking I was told a follow up would happen the following Thursday to confirm it but NO luck. I waited ALL day for the exterminator. I did reach 2 out of state answering service women finally after 2pm and left detailed messages. Still waiting to hear back. NOT HAPPY about this poor follow-up and lack of response. Tristian has been spraying our house for two years now. He is always on time or calls to ask availability to come early. When in our home he always asks where to start and if we have any issues . He has always been very professional. When we started we use to get infested with sugar ants from the field on the other side of our wall, but since he's been spraying the house we rarely see them anymore. In Phoenix, Orkin was fantastic. We lived in a condo with shared walls and shared bugs. It was awful and a long battle, but Orkin won. They were awesome. Here in New Mexico, it's a whole other story. Customer service is awful and they are disorganized. I had trouble switching our account over from Phoenix, and long story short, we switched to seasonal. When seasonal began, our technician called to set up our first appointment. He came the last week in March. The first week in April, (aka the following week) he called again. I asked him why he was calling to set up another spray so soon and he said 'that I'm on seasonal and that they spray every month.' *_* "But you just came last week" "Oh. Do you want me to put you at the end of April?" Under my breath I'm muttering, 'do you need to ask??' I next asked him when seasonal begins. He said in May to November. Another awkward silence.... "then why did you start in March??" I honestly don't remember the response because I was too irritated. At the end of April he came but we were out of town so he sprayed the outside only and was supposed to come the following week to do the inside. Next week came and he called, but I missed the call. We came home sooooooo sick with a flu/cold whatever, so I called him back and left a message telling him to come the following week because we were both sick. The following day I see two missed calls at 8:30am. (I was sick as you might recall, and very unable to answer a morning phone call) At 11am I receive an email invoice stating that he had sprayed the outside (again) and I was charged for it. I called the company so upset wanting to cancel my account, but after a few days the manager talked to me and he convinced me to give them another chance. The next month, a new technician came, one that actually only does comercial buildings but is a trainer for other technicians. He promises he wouldn't fail us and that he would come in the afternoons as I would like (that was another problem I had - they would never come at the time slot I requested). He sprayed and then took out his phone to put us in his calendar for the next treatment. He promised, 'I'll be there! June 4th, after 12pm'. June 4th came and went, and never did I receive so much as a phone call. No show. Nothing. I called a few days later and cancelled my account and started looking for a new company. If you read all this, I congratulate you! It's now off my chest and I'm moving on. But just wanted to give a fair warning if you were considering their services. read more

Service tech was nice but they definitely oversold their service on the phone and the lady that took call said they did numerous things for their $191.62 first time service call but the only thing that was done was a canister spray inside and outside of house and put down a few cardboard glue traps I could have done that myself and did do that myself 1 month ago for about $43.00 but the tech did change the glue traps. Very expensive and I don't think it is worth the service charge for the spraying from a canister inside house and around the outside perimeter and to lay down a few glue traps. I thought I would try big name pest company but as I have learned unless you have a major infestation these companies don't do what is promised when they sell their service to you. Do your homework and research the company first before having them come out and you pay your $191.62 for their upsold service. read more

Great service, competitive pricing. We have them come out monthly to spray inside & outside our home plus bait mouse traps outside. The service has worked because we haven't had any mice in our house (thank goodness) or any "live" bugs in 2.5 years. We live on 5 acres in Corrales so it's paramount that we have a consistent, effective service! Scheduling is easy. I know what day our technician will be here each month; if needed, it's easy to reschedule via calling the local Orkin office. I opted in for text message notifications (they don't send too may & only notify me a day prior to the appointment and when the technician has arrived). I had an account with them for quite sometime and since last August I don't know what happen but all they do is mess up your account. These guys came into my apt. To treat mice and roaches. They put down two sticky pads and left.. that was 6 months ago. They recently came in again today. .. they sprayed explain to them why I was having a hard time getting rid of the mice because the mouse holes were where I couldn't get to them.. under cabinets. They sprayed a couple corners and left then they told my apartment manager that they couldn't do anything because I refuse treatment. I get it if you can't fix something but lying is just unprofessional and I will never ever let them treat my house again. Can't believe I didn't dump this service earlier. Down by UNM, years ago, they kept the roaches at bay. Moved, and have been a customer for many years now, and the only dead bugs I have ever seen are those I personally kill. The only bugs we have with any frequency are crickets, but they are annoyingly noisy, and I'd expect to only hear them outside for the hundreds spent on Orkin per year. Instead I get to hunt a couple inside, every night all summer long. Back at the old house they sprayed actual insecticide around, I think now they use mostly "green" stuff (read: snake oil). read more

Very pleased to discover that Jim and Jason, formerly Flint's Pest Control, are still here in spite of the name change to Orkin. Jason came by our home today for our yearly spring preventative pest control and we received the same courteous, friendly, professional service we had with Flint's. I was concerned after seeing the name changed to Orkin after using Flint's for the past three years and being so happy with them. I took a chance and called the old Flint's number I had and Jason promptly returned my call, answered all of my questions about the new company and scheduled an appointment very quickly. Orkin Pest Control Review I am a commercial customer with four large locations under contract with Orkin which I pay monthly, between $5,000 and $10,000 dollars a year all together. An account you would think they would want to keep happy. Well, I wish that were true. After several months without regular service despite our contacting them over and over to remedy the situation of no shows and site visits lacking mouse bait we finally ended up with a mouse infestation. We called again and insisted that they come and address the now serious problem. Well at least they showed up... without anything but a shirt and van that said Orkin. We had to go buy our own mouse bait because they said they were out and had been out for a long time. Kind of critical for a company to keep their primary products in stock one might think. We had to buy our own bait, fill the traps ourselves and do our own water traps, to eliminate the infestation from their lack of service. I am shocked that Orkin's service was completely lacking and unprofessional. Not to mention that they are a national company treating their customer contracts which such huge disregard. As a result we had to give free rent compensation to our tenants on top of doing their job. So, the obvious choice is to go up the corporate ladder which I had my GM do. All the way to the regional division manager - Tamera in Arizona. She assured my GM she would call me. He spoke with her a couple of times and big surprise, NO Call from her EVER. I am currently shopping for other pest control companies. I highly suggest you do the same. read more
