It makes so much sense to me on why this location is never busy. We walk in and there are two employees behind the counter, don't say a word. We're waiting for someone to take our order or say anything to us and nothing for awhile. I realize they have the cash registers for us to use to place order (again, no one said anything to us and just watched us look around) placed our order and have been waiting AWHILE for it come out. If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered steak I'm my kale salad and what they gave me looked and tasted nothing like steak. It tasted like pepper flavored beef jerky and looked rancid. To make things worse they used to use real Parmesan cheese and now they switched to that fake stuff that's pre grated. The salad was more romaine than kale and I ended up throwing the whole thing away after a few bites it was so bad. This place used to be good but not anymore. I don't understand how they can raise their prices after substituting for inferior ingredients. Also they didn't call out my name when my food was ready so I waited way longer than I should have for my order. read more

Horrible. Sizes went down. No avocado on their $6 avocado toast see photo for how small it is. Not enough for a child. Also watched our food sit on the counter for 10 min before bringing it over. I really hate the word "meh", but in this case it captures the experience perfectly. The counter help matches the decor... competent but cold and not too friendly. We ordered a sweet soy steak bowl ( w/ forbidden rice), a steak sandwich, a couple of teas (no sodas at This in-your-face, over-the-top healthy place). We added a couple bags of chips to get back to some sense of unhealthy. The sandwich self-destructed in contact but other than the disintegrating bread was OKish. The bowl was again OK. Slightly bland, but healthy and filling. The teas were yummy (recognize the berry green from whoever supplies pei-wei). Overall, if you're super sensitive about healthy, this place works as a bailout for takeout on nights you don't wanna cook. As for a $33 lunch for two, I'll just spend a bit more and pop over to Picazzo's one block away where the food and service are vastly superior and just as healthy. read more

I'm a huge ChopShop fan which is why I was so excited to move close to one. My expectations weren't met when dining here this afternoon. The place wasn't busy so I'm not sure why the wait for our food was so long! My Food came first and my sisters came long after (I had to go up and ask for it). My sisters danish salad was wimpy compared to when we order it at the old town location. It was lacking toppings. My tofu bowl was amazing and I have no complaints about that. This was my first time at a Chop Shop and I left full and impressed. At first glance it is kind of pricey, but I was happy by the big portioni ended up getting. They have a wide variety on the menu, from salads to bowls to sandwiches. I ordered the teriyaki bowl, which had chicken teriyaki, vegetables, and I chose the sweet potato hash, which gave the taste a boost instead of just ordering brown rice. The bowls go quite deep and I was getting pretty full when I got half way down, but was enjoying my meal so much, I finished it. Would recommend this as a good healthy option. read more

ChopShop is one of my office order go-to's since they have so many quality healthy/clean options, so I am thrilled to have them closer to my office. Not only do I love the location, but parking is plentiful here and the restaurant itself is beautiful. It's large, open and very inviting - definitely worth taking a look-see of. And the ordering process was a breeze. I called ahead of time for a large order for 7 people, and the person on the phone made sure to label each person's dish with their name on it (which makes distributing group food so much easier!), and every order was 100% correct. And of course, every salad and protein bowl was devoured with smiles from my large crew, so A+++ all around for the quality and flavor of the food!! If you're into Caesar salad, definitely try their Kale Caesar and add chicken - it's one of my favorites - you won't regret it :) I'll definitely be ordering from here again soon, and I highly recommend checking them out! Ordered the club online. I don't remember selecting the whole wheat wrap but that's how it came. I could have ordered it wrong online. Never been a fan of wraps. To me, they are just cold burritos. Gross. But this one actually wasn't bad. The best part about it was the distribution of the stuff inside. Hate it when you get to the end of a burrito and it's all tortilla. I have to say this location doesn't live up to the rest. I've been to almost all locations and for some reason the serving size isn't anywhere near where it should be. Each time I feel like their giving less and less and it's shocking since the prices are very high for the amount they give you. This is my favorite quick restaurant in all of Arizona, hands down. I have to say, RJ made our experience today exceptional! It's not often that you are greeted with a modern/clean environment, delicious food AND excellent service- so we were especially impressed. I'm addicted to the Beet Chop, so I had that today and ate every little bit (per usual), but the Slim squeeze juice that RJ recommended is my new favorite. Also notable, he bussed our table for us. I placed two catering orders this week at this location, and was very pleased with not only the order, but the experience. The manager, Matthew Howell, was such a pleasure to work with. He continued to express his gratitude for my business, which I was very happy to have given. He was very generous, and even applied a discount to my order since it was the first time ordering catering directly from them. The staff was very nice also, and able to assist me with my orders over phone. They were very accommodating to my requests as well. The salad dressing wasn't included in my order, but they quickly called me to notify me. Matthew was nice enough to bring over the dressing to the office that my lunch was at, since I was unable to leave at that point. The food was excellent! Both offices I brought lunch to really enjoyed it, and many of them came back for seconds because they liked it so much. Everything was very fresh, and really tasty. Food is ok, not an everyday occurrence because with a drink I'm usually at $16 just for lunch and many times I'm still hungry after. The main thing that disappoints me is no nutritional info. For the most part the food is not that individualized, it shouldn't be that difficult to calculate it. Just because they brand themselves as healthy doesn't means that's the case. Now, the people working here have always been helpful and nice. No complaints there. read more

Second lunch here was even more disappointing than the first. The salads are overpriced because they're 95% lettuce and only 5% the rest of the veggies the menu says they have. The 5 radish shavings looked so sad in my bowl. Then to also find that when you add chicken it's only about a cup chopped into tiny pieces (ironic, since the baby lettuce in their "chopped" salads is not chopped at all). I'm no lover of McDonald's and it's been months since I've been in one, but their southwest salad has more high value ingredients and costs way less than ChopShop's salads. And noone gets all judgmental about me drinking a diet soda fountain drink at McDonald's. It's just not a good experience, anyway. The music is so loud folks have a hard time hearing each other, including the staff taking your order. And the staff looked miserable both times I was there - I have no idea why. Once seated the loud music becomes ever more annoying so that by the time you're ready to go, you're REALLY ready to go. I'd rather get a salad at Trader Joe's across the street and eat it in their parking lot. Just as good, more friendly, more peaceful and less expensive. read more

Came for lunch today, as we are working on eating better/healthier. Thought the menu sounded delicious and were really excited to try the protein bowls. I ordered the Thai coconut chicken bowl, added Brussels sprouts for an extra charge; hubs ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl. Both of us chose quinoa base. We ordered for take out and were pleased that it was ready pretty quickly, though the staff checking us out was not a very friendly girl. Disappointing. We got the bowls home and they were packaged well, and we were excited to dig in! And that's where the fun ends, unfortunately. I think it's possible they may have forgotten to put the coconut sauce on my bowl altogether; it was dry as a bone! And my extra charge brussels came with THREE quarters of one brussel. His was a little better, slightly more saucy. I ended up adding a bit of salad dressing from the fridge to mine because it was painfully dry...I'm so bummed because it sounded soooo good. The chicken and veggies seemed fresh and good, which I appreciate and it was a hearty amount of food for a reasonable price. Will we be back? Maybe...it's conveniently located so maybe we just remember to ask for extra sauce? read more

ChopShop is a staple casual breakfast & lunch spot. I am loving seeing all the new locations pop up! Came in today for lunch with a girlfriend, it was busy but not overly busy. We got in line, ordered and sat down within 10 minutes. Our food came out in about 10 minutes. It's quick and casual with seating inside and out. I ordered the protein bowl with teriyaki chicken and forbidden rice. My friend got an açaí bowl. They have salads, bowls, sandwiches & wraps. Tons of healthy options, fun grab and go items (kombucha, bars, etc), and they typically have some fresh baked gluten free goodies! My food was good, this is one of those spots where you kind of always know what to expect. It's not spectacular but it's a great weekday option. My rice was a bit undercooked, my only complaint. The protein bowl is my go to order but I also love the salads here, and they can be made into wraps! My favorite location seems to be the old town one, everything is always cooked perfectly. I'm surprised to see so many low reviews for this place! I visit PHX a lot for work and have been here on many different occasions. I like the vibe and atmosphere of this place, it's always very clean and the decor is so spot on. I have had many different menu items: - protein bowl is yummy and filling. It's nice to be able to order fresh and healthy food like this at a "chain" you can customize what kind of carb and protein you like. I enjoy the spicy Korean steak. - chicken & fig sandwich was definitely not my favorite. I think the sandwich would have been very good but they had fig jam and a very strong mustard on the sandwich and I just found that the two did not go together well. - coconut chia pudding is SUPER yummy! I have been trying to make my own taste like this. It is a very filling portion and is very satisfying - the iced teas are delicious. I like how you can also fill up your water bottle at their iced & water station, this is very nice for me when I am traveling. I love their peach green tea - unsweetened and thirst quenching. they have huge cups which are ideal for an all day long drink. Overall, I would recommend this place for breakfast & lunch. I think you are definitely paying more for the "fresh" and trendy menu items, etc, but while traveling for work, I find this a refreshing alternative to eating somewhere that doesn't offer many options with fruits & veggies. read more

I love this place! I pretty much always get the açaí bowl with the green tea, which I highly recommend. I tried the seasonal lemonade watermelon mint and it's AMAZING. I really like coming to this location too because it's huge on the inside and so cute. The staff is also super nice and helpful if you have questions or anything like that. We have each had the Teriyaki Chicken Protein Bowl many times in the past at this location and the food was served hot. Granted this was my first time at this location, but I'm not sure I've ever experienced a more unfriendly staff. Everything from ordering, to getting the food made wrong, to having them roll their eyes for asking for a side of sauce. I'm not sure who peed in their Cheerios, but it was across the board awful service. Oh and there was onion peel in two of the bowls, the largest piece pictured. They included that for free It's a shame, the other locations I've been to have been great. Stopped by after my workout to grab a muscle malt shake which is one of my faves (I get it with cold brew). Hayden was very inviting and had a big smile on her face as she greeted me as I walked in. I often frequent the Arcadia location because it is close to my work but I also love this location and they have a great patio with misters (needed in this weather).
