History
Established in 2005.
Established in 2005.
We started in October 2005, with a goal to bring pelvic health care to Austin and create an environment where people receive the care they deserve. So many times over the years, we have heard, "Why did I not hear about this therapy sooner?" or "I wish I knew about physical therapy years ago." Our team has made it our mission to educate about the need for and improve access to pelvic health care. Along the way, we have treated over 250,000 patients. It is an honor to be a part of your health care team. In 2022, we joined Origin, the leading provider of pelvic floor and whole-body physical therapy specializing in pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and sexual health. Origin is building a category-defining brand that establishes a higher standard of care. We feel that Origin shares our same mission, and we are excited to be a part of Origin expanding pelvic health care throughout Austin and bringing access to people all over Texas.
Meet the Manager: Dr. Lauren Steele, PT, DPT S.
Lauren graduated with her Bachelors in Biology/Psychology and a minor in Spanish from Northwest Missouri State University in 2014 and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2017. Lauren is originally from Omaha, Nebraska and enjoys hiking, reading, volleyball, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Lauren became interested in pelvic floor therapy after having the opportunity to treat pelvic floor conditions in the outpatient orthopedic setting. She enjoyed seeing not just the physical but also the emotional benefits that the patients experience with pelvic floor rehab. Lauren understands that many diagnoses may cause a patient to feel uneasy and she strives to make each therapeutic experience as comfortable as possible to encourage open communication with her patients. Lauren’s focus is to improve her patient’s quality of life to allow them to return to the activities they enjoy.
