I have been coming to Integra for different issues since 2016. I started coming when I had bad back pain while pregnant with my youngest child. I was certain I had a slipped disc or something, but the doctor recommended physical therapy. I was skeptical, but determined to do my due diligence. After coming for six weeks though, I am now a huge believer in PT. The therapists were able to get me relief and teach me how to do exercises that were safe for the baby and helped ease my back pain. In 2017 I came for knee issues after overtraining for the cap 10k. I came again this past year when I developed bursitis in my hip. Each time I have been injured I visit until I have consistent relief and then I discontinue therapy sessions and continue the work at home. I have only had to come the full six weeks once (that was when I was pregnant). Integra is totally cool with this because the whole point of PT is to get better. They don't pressure you to add extra unnecessary sessions. The first visit is an evaluation where they take a look at your issue, test range of motion, ask you about your pain levels and determine a treatment plan. Different injuries require different levels of treatment, more severe issues could result in multiple visits a week but most of mine have been once a week. After the eval, sessions usually consist of a 30 minute exercise session where a therapist walks you through good exercises you can do to strengthen your body in the area where you're injured and making sure you don't end up with any compensatory injuries. The second half of the session is usually some form of physical manipulation, for example, when I had bad back pain the second half was the therapist working out the tension in my upper back muscles. I would call it massage but it was not relaxing. It did, however, (eventually) result in relief of pain. I recently brought my 10 year old in for a knee injury and learned she has hyper mobile joints and weak hip adductors which can be a risk factor for injuries, so we will be working on strength and stability. I cannot praise Priscilla and her team enough. Fast, efficient, caring and quality physiotherapy sessions are making a difference with my shoulder injury and pain. This is my first time doing physio. Hands down THE best PT I've ever had! I was referred to Integra for my broken hand post-car accident. I (fortunately) was given Isaiah as my PT and I've never had a more thorough evaluation and plan of care! He's so so smart and knowledgeable about anatomy and physiology and how it all applies to your specific situation. I live in Georgetown and was referred to a place in Georgetown for a chronic shoulder/back problem, but after Isaiah treated my hand I was like nah boy I'm driving the whole ass 30 minutes it takes me to get to Pflugerville just to do PT with Isaiah. And I don't regret it It's also super easy to schedule with them and the PT Techs are really nice :) I also LOVE that they have the option of dry needling here - I've never had that done to me at any other PT before! I was hesitant to come here at first due to its out-of-the-way location and small demeanor, but it was a good distance away so I chose it. What I felt when I first walked in was an air of safety and relief. The place was actually bigger than I imagined, extending out into a garage and office type building with bountiful equipment and a comfy feel. This place was definitely the right place to choose. Kristen, the lead physical therapist who took the first two weeks to personally work with me and my torn labrum throughout my hour-long appointments twice a week was very nice, welcoming, and encouraging while also pushing me and ensuring my safety. She is a great conversationalist, is very knowledgeable and dependable, and was very gentle with my sensitive shoulder injury. She made sure to follow my doctor's directions to the letter was always telling me to stop whenever I start feeling bad pain (internal major pain vs regular working out pain). She was creative in her exercises and was great and efficient at her job. I felt the rapid improvement in my shoulder because of her greatness as well as my driven nature that loves to compete with pain on a mental level. Overall, she was a great physical therapist, and I would for sure recommend her and this place to my closest friends and family. Kevin was another physical therapist who worked with me through my first 30 minutes (Kristen works with my last 30 minutes). This man was such a chill and cool dude who loved to learn about his patient and even remembered a lot of things I told him about my high school life and MCJROTC. He always ensured my safety and was very encouraging just like Kristen was, and supplemented my already overly positive feelings that I felt towards this place. He always made sure I wasn't pushing myself too hard, and worked really hard to genuinely get to know me as a human being and not another patient. What a gigachad. Overall, I loved this place and it has brought me back to about 85% of what I used to be (the recommended amount of recovery before you at supposed to continue on your own), and my recovery journey was based solely on my lifestyle, goals, and everyday activities. I felt motivated and excited to come and talk to the staff at this place including the receptionists and other physical therapists that I did not get to know well. I started going to physical therapy for a muscle issue that I've had for the past ten years. My shoulder blade area is always in pain and I came across the idea of trigger points, talked with my ortho doc about dry needle therapy, got a referral and then started looking around for a local practice that could help me. The treatment was carefully explained to me, and I've made a lot of progress with my symptoms. I had a really bad problem with my right knee and my Ortho Doc sent me to them for pre-surgery care then after I had my knee replaced I continued with them. I am 67 yrs old and work full time. They had me back at work in 12 weeks and pain free after 15 weeks. They are kind, patient, very knowledgeable, and they made me want to do what they asked which was the key to my recovery. I've gone to Integra Physical Therapy for four different types of treatment: two shoulder replacements, one hip fracture and subsequent replacement and once for evaluation and treatment for severe Fibromyalgia. I've worked with Priscilla Hall, the owner and lead therapist each time, after the first time, at my specific request. Granted, all the certificates and letters after her name are impressive but without the knowledge that Priscilla has, coupled with the kindness, the humanity and sensitivity in her touch, I would be a very unhappy and disabled senior citizen. Integra is also training ground for others who are interested in a possible career in physical therapy and I have to give a shout-out to Katy, who demonstrated the exercises and watched over me as I learned to do them. She was great and no matter how rough I felt when I walked through the door, pretty soon I was working a little harder and laughing. I don't know the name of every special person who works there but I would trust any of them. My husband has his own therapists at Integra and I'll let him write his own review, knowing that it will be as positive as mine. I had an extremely weak ankle which was almost constantly sprained. I'd made visits to other PTs but it wasn't till I found Samantha at Integra that I began to see progress. I've never visited a physical therapist before now and had no idea what to expect. I was referred by my OB/GYN when I was 36 weeks pregnant due to some sciatica/hip issues. Priscilla Hall, owner of Integra Physical Therapy, is the best physical therapist ever!! I have had this "breathing issue" since Sept 2013 and have been to numerous doctors and other health professionals. They all told me they had no idea what this "breathing issue" was, but since I had a shoulder problem, as well, I was referred to physical therapy. I went to 2 other pts who didn't really work out for me before finding Priscilla. Within about 5 minutes Priscilla told me that I had a rib out of place, and when she pressed in the right places, I could tell she was right on!! That was what was causing the breathing discomfort. She started working on that rib, as well as my shoulder. If I hadn't found her, I'm convinced that I would have had to deal with this breathing thing the rest of my life. Priscilla is not limited to just regular old pt treatments. She also does manual therapy and dry needling (which she used on my knotted up muscle around my rib). Not only is Priscilla a great physical therapist, she is very personable and empathetic. If you are having physical issues, I highly recommend you give Priscilla at Integra PT a call!! read more
