Personally, this was a great inspiration to work out hard with Julie so that I NEVER ended up in that office instead.

This location is super central, easy to park in, and is chock full of great physical therapists and supportive staff. They're gonna make you work, but if you work there (and do your homework) they'll get you out of there. Plus there's a neat app that'll nag you to keep doing your exercises so you don't make it back any time soon. I hate the exercises, hate the work, grumble through it all, but love being able to 1) lift 2) stand 3) sleep 4) walk after graduation. Psst - you get to BONG A GONG plus get a nifty tshirt once you're at the end of your own personal montage.

In my lone session there, I did a…read morerange of motion exam and literally two simple band exercises and they billed me almost $500. The exercises weren't anything you can't find on YouTube and I didn't feel like the range of motion exams even pinpointed the issues I was having. Honestly, $50 for the session would have been a more reasonable bill for the service that I received. Additionally, I had issues with an additional session being scheduled without my knowledge and a billing issue for which I couldn't get proper explanation. It's just a disaster from start to finish, in my experience. I've had physical therapy before at other providers and had a much better experience at far more reasonable prices.

I didn't do any running again until 2017 when I started running less than 2 miles at a time, and realized I could do that without my knees hurting. Occasionally I would run 3 to 4 miles at a time, and feel my knees burn again. Fast forward to the pandemic and a screeching halt to in person group workouts, and any running I did reduced to a mile or less at a time. By August of 2021 I started walk / jogging again, it was going well, and by October I wanted to add more miles without getting knee pain again. A friend of mine recommended that I go to RunLab to figure out what I could do better to be able to run without hurting myself. This was one of the best recommendations I have ever received. For the past two months I have been working with Dr. Biershenk at RunLab. In that time I've been able to double my weekly running mileage without any injuries or lasting pain. Along the way to learning to move injury free, I have awakened other issues, and Dr. Biershenk has helped me to correct the new issues as they've arisen. I've been very happy with my results so far, and I plan to continue to book sessions at RunLab to improve my running. In the mundane details: scheduling and billing have always been hassle free and accurate. My appointments have always been on-time and to schedule. The staff at RunLab is attentive to their clients and are dedicated to helping them improve their movement. I would highly recommend RunLab, it's the best thing I've done for myself in a long time.

The first time I was matched with a woman who kept pressing me to tell her my mental health issues even when I said I was not comfortable she then told me she would find out through my medical records. I told my doctor I didn't want to go back but was referred there again. Then I was matched with a male who actually tried making fun of me for being injured (and at a young age) and then tried making sexual comments towards me. He said this isn't my business but are you able to perform sexually when you're experiencing the pain.... Absolutely ridiculous. And then he assured me the treatment would approved by my insurance but it was denied due to a lack of information submitted by him. And he wasn't taking me serious the entire time kept telling me to just stop wearing certain shoes. Even when I tried explaining how serious my injury was. And no one ever called me to explain why I was denied treatment I had to call myself and they told me I'd be getting a call back with more details and never did. This place is awful and the people who work here have serious issues.

I had recently learned of Bowenwork and was not having good experiences with chiropractors. I have…read moreall kinds of spine issues from my tailbone up through my neck (C2), and needed to be adjusted regularly. I did Bowenwork in my area for a few months and then moved to the greater Austin area. I thought I would go as long as I could without any body work, but after a few months I found it increasingly difficult and painful to raise my legs for each step going up to my 2nd floor apartment. I could see that if I didn't do something I was going to have a particularly difficult time getting into my apartment. I found Jessica from the Bowenwork Academy's "Find a Practitioner" and saw that she had taken all the courses and had more than 500 hours of Bowenwork experience. After 3 times of going to Jessica, I realized while I was quickly and easily going up the stairs that I was not in any pain! It just happened so naturally, I didn't notice I was doing better. Jessica has also worked on my jaw (TMJ), my neck (weak voice), shoulders (tight and painful), pelvis, knee, wrists, lower back, hips and feet. Afterwards, I have to sleep and allow the Bowenwork nudges to awaken my body's healing response. Really, I wouldn't believe it, if I didn't experience it every time. And Jessica has a sense of what is needed, and how to address it. She expects a change, and adjusts what she does, if it's not forth coming. I have also had a session of therapeutic, restorative movement (not sure what she calls it - using special balls for self massage) and that session relaxed my muscles so much that again I had to sleep. Jessica is not in this business for the money. She tells me what I can do to help myself at home. She told me where to go to get the balls and how I could find the videos so I could work on myself at home. She could have all that in her office and mark up what is already really expensive, but as I said she's a body worker not a shrewd business person out to make a buck. Jessica is an honest, true healer. I highly recommend going to her a few times and then see if you really do need a chiropractor.

You can tell her process works as she is working on your body - you feel sort of releases in different areas as she is working on you. I feel that my cancer treatments are more effective with the relaxing of the myofacial. She has such a intuative nature, knowing what questions to ask in order to really understand your pains. Every appt begins with many questions of pain level, areas, levels of pain - then she begins treatment fully aware. I am so thankful to have found Jessica.
