Very understanding and detailed in our conversations, Dr. Moghimi discussed his thoughts with me then confirmed each of them with imaging... he was exactly right! I'm now 3 weeks post-op from a two level ACDF procedure and when I woke from surgery, all previous pain was gone. Long story short I did PT for two years. The doctors did not listen to me. They asked me the most obnoxious questions. For instance, I told the doctor that I cannot walk up the stairs very easily and then he asked if I had tried to run yet. Anyway, here I am three years later, and I have shooting pains through my leg. They come and go, but my nerve damage and possibly still a tear existing per another doctor. There is a reason the other reviews echo the exact same sentiment. Lauren is rude and condescending and honestly, she has no clue what she is talking about half the time. They treat patients like transactions. That's it that's all. Last year, I ended up pregnant and miscarried but the way this practice treated me/the pregnancy/my other providers was honestly disgusting. Even then, I was receiving conflicting calls from different staff members having to repeat myself over and over again. There are several other pain management clinics to choose from. They lie about contacting you and when you show them they DIDN'T call you, they decide it's best you find care elsewhere. I bet. This is exactly what happened. I spoke with them on Tuesday the 3rd to schedule a follow up in March and by Wednesday the 4th they were saying I needed to be seen before my medicine could be refilled even though it was already due for fill and I was just seen last month claiming they called and left me message after message. Like I said, they seem desperate for money. As a manager myself, I see what is happening. Their employees are making activity notes as if they are doing their jobs but in fact, aren't. They don't like this being brought to light. Instead of taking accountability, they will make up more lies like "oh that's because so and so wasn't privy to that". However, if talking about an activity note that pops up on my account, ALL employees would be able to see this prior to scheduling an appt. Not to mention, THEY called me to schedule the March appointment. Not the other way around. They lie when it's convenient for them and fits their narrative. It's ironic that Dr. Singa would even have anything to say being that I haven't seen him personally since 2023. I was always pushed to his PA's. His prior PA Martin was very honest about how disorganized and chaotic this practice was/is which is why he left. His new PA Grace is lovely and I hope she makes it out of there asap.

Shortly after the Q & A with the nurse, Dr. Z walked in, greeted me with a smile, a handshake and pleasantries. After a few more questions some squeezing, bending and pushing, voila!!!!... lateral epicondylitis, aka tennis elbow. Wait!!!!....Wha?!?!? I don't even play tennis. After conducting some research, studies show that trauma such as direct blows to the epicondyle (femur), a sudden forceful pull, or forceful extension cause more than half of these injuries. It has also been known that incorrectly playing tennis may cause early stages of tennis elbow as shock is received when mishitting the ball. Yeah, couldn't say what exactly caused this injury....have ya read my activity reviews?!?!?! Anyway, he gave me two options, one, a brace for several weeks and possibly physical therapy, or two, a shot of, I cut him off as I was not interested in a shot of anything, except, perhaps a tasty beverage. I digress. Not wanting to leave just yet, as I like to get my co-pays worth in, I brought up another issue I've been having. 'Come on, let's look at the x-rays', he says. Badabing badaboom, another specialist misdiagnosed me. Dr. Z wrote down some options to help with the other aliment and I was on my way. Came in with an elbow issue, walked out with a wrist brace and knowledge and helpful tips my Podiatrist didn't tell me about my foot. Kudos Dr. Z!!! Then the "scheduler" calls you and tells you that the next surgery appointment is 10 months out. And then here we go again.. They ask "well were you not told about the concierge service?" I told that person to take a hike. You have a choice for "expedited" surgery for either $7795.00 or $15995.00. This Goldberg is full of himself. You are left feeling lied to and taken advantage of after the appointment. Find another surgeon!!!! Save yourself the exposure to this ridiculous behavior and a waste of good time. Not to mention the waste of good oxygen. It took all of 5 minutes to find a very qualified surgeon that does the exact same thing and is a teaching surgeon as well.

Taylor Lackey is professional, knowledgeable, and very well manages his time. Most of my visits, I have be able to see him in just 5 minutes. Only one time that I needed to wait about half an hour. Overall never a very long wait. Dr. Lackey well planed and it really helped saving patients' time. When he knew the reasons of my visit, he ordered me for an x-ray in prior to see him, and he told me that I could call to get an MRI order without the need to go to his office again. I have seen Dr. Lackey for my tennis and golf elbows, my dislocated tendon at my pinky finger, and lately a lump at my inner elbow. He is very attentive and provided me with the necessary physical therapy and medication. Claudia, Dr. Lackey's Medical Assistant, has been very kind, considerate, and attentive. She has tried her best to coordinate the doctor's orders and the x-ray unit in order to make it as fast and effective as possible. She has gone over everything slowly to make sure I understand everything right. Maybe the clinic has been too busy lately causing me a hard time reaching her. I left 2 voice messages and have been waiting over 48 hours, but never got a call back. I needed to leave the 3rd message before getting a call back causing me almost unable to get my MRI scheduled before my long trip. The front desk ladies or the scheduling ladies are very nice, always very helpful and are excellent at their jobs! When she knew I couldn't get a schedule at Austin Sports Medicine Lab, she recommended me 3 other labs in Austin and the near by areas and fax out my MRI order to all other labs right away. Finally, I could get my MRI scheduled on the last day before my traveling. I have experienced some difficulty at the x-ray unit inside Austin Sports Medicine. I have had conditions at both of my arms, but the x-ray technologist did the x-ray only one of my arms. I told him right away, but he refused to check even if I asked him politely and more than one time. When Claudia found out, she talked to the technologist and asked him to do the x-ray again for my another arm. Instead of fixing the mistake and having me next in line, he seemed upset and put me the last in line! And this time I waited over 30-40 minutes and still couldn't get an x-ray. Ended up Claudia told me that Dr. Lackey would pull my old x-ray for my another arm, so I didn't need to wait longer. I just wish the technologist was cared to listen to patients and spent a little time double check things. It could help prevent the mistakes from happening and save a large a mount of time for both patients and himself. In Sum: I highly recommend Austin Sports Medicine and Dr J. Taylor Lackey!

Not very impressed with this office at all…read more First - There is zero parking available. (The worst I've ever seen at a doctor's office). People were circling, and alot were parked illegally, even in the grass. I was forced to park next door at all the retail shops, even though there were a ton of signs saying they'd tow. Not really a great first impression. Second - My appointment with Dr. Meghpara felt very rushed, and was not near as thorough as other doctor's I've seen (and what I would require to consider it a worthwhile visit). It was my fault for not getting x-rays from another doctor over in time before my appointment (the office didn't remind me to bring any, and I honestly just didn't think about it until a few days before). I did bring my MRI images and report, and he basically said he had no use for those. I asked if we should take another X-ray at the office, so that he could see my current state, and he basically said it wasn't necessary. He also had me do only a few movements in the office (totaling about 10 seconds) to test out my pain, whereas two other doctors had alot more comprehensive exam. He then proceeded to give me his opinion without examining any x-rays or (from what it seemed) the MRI CDs I had brought in. He just went off of what I told him my situation was, what my last doctor had said (a few weeks before), and basically agreed with that assessment. At this point I was just ready to leave, as I was already disappointed and knew that he is not a doctor I would return to. I wish I would've just avoided going there for another opinion, and wasting $80.
